In this thread, I'm going to teach you everything you need to know about Discard Buffs and how they work. Just a reminder that they wouldn't actually be useful unless a game was actually made.

At the end of a cards bio is the discard buff, "Discard to add +× of a certain stat.

In a game, you have a 3 card hand and you play 3 and discard the other 2.

Let's say you play a card that has an ATK/DEF/SPD line of 40/20/8. One of the cards you discarded says +3 ATK and the other says +3 SPD. The card you played becomes 43/20/11.

The discard buff is usually based on the lowest of the 2 stats between ATK and DEF. If you discard a 40/20/8 card it grants a +2 DEF buff. If you discard a 30/40/5 card, it grants +3 ATK. A perfectly balanced 30/30/5 card would grant +3 SPD.

Card rarity also comes into play here. A cards stats don't change with rarity but their Discard buff does. A silver card with a 40/20/8 stat line will have +2 DEF. The black version will offer +4 DEF and the orange version will offer +6 DEF.
