I think it should be a 1 year limit honestly. If users have been here longer than a year they aren't really newbies anymore but up until then I think it would be fair to consider them that. I doubt you'll have many people competing in their first 6 months as it is so giving them a chance to compete in the 2nd one after they register might be better.

I'm taking a breather for the day. My name's been on fire for 3 of the last 4 days and yesterday I still got like 50 posts. At this point I probably can't catch up to tgags123 and zanderlex for Yellow and Blue since they seem to be battling over those so I'm going to put all my focus on Red and Green. I mean I'll still get points for the other two jerseys but I will only go for them if I'm in the mood to post 70ish times again lol

Furret : it wouldn't take much to get points in blue and yellow unless they show up in the next few hours. Why do you think I posted my way into 1st on blue and 2nd on yellow. That way I should get at least some points in each even if someone passes me.

I agree with Mohammed and Geeo's points about the white banner. I'd even go a step further and say that you are eligible for the white banner if you've never gotten a point in the TdV before. So instead of people that are new to Vizzed, it's people that are new to the Tour de Vizzed. However, the next month, I did win the VCS, which is pretty much the blue jersey. That probably felt better just because the competitor between me and Austipokedude in that VCS was incredible.
