Earlier today season 3 was confirmed for July 4th. Are you excited? I didn't even finish the 2nd seasom but this is already one of my 5 most favorite shows of all time so I'm super excited.

I'm a little disappointed it is taking this long but if it means the next season is done properly and isn't rushed then I'll take it.

Too often the date is set and then the show or movie tries to meet that deadline instead of waiting the right amount of time to be finished. I can wait 6 months for this to be done right.

geeogree : I'm glad that the wait between the reveal and release date is short. I was worried it was going to be a long way away because the gap for season 2 was a few months longer. The reveal was at the start of February and the season was 9 months later.

Personally I think the extra time is less because of trying to make it better (after all they're very short seasons) and more because of the actors other commitments.

Take Finn for example, before the show he was in a few short films but now he's been in It and is gonna be in 4 movies this year.

Plus Millie Bobby Brown has a big role in each of the next 2 Godzilla movies, and one was of them was done and they're filming the next one now, so they had a full plate.

I'm not that excited, to be honest. Season 1 was phenomenal. I absolutely loved it. Season 2, however, was pretty disappointing. The plot didn't make a whole lot of sense to me, and it seemed like they just felt the need to throw something together because of how successful the first season was. Hopefully season 3 isn't the same way, though I suspect it might be.

tgags123 : I loved the cleverness of the 1st season and part of the reason I liked the 1st season so much was how devastating the events were to nearly all the characters.

I don't think season 2 is bad I just think season 1 was so amazing that logically it couldn't have gotten better and could only go downhill, but still great.

I mostly watch it for certain characters now though.

I've never seen Stranger Things, but I hear it's mostly just an 80s nostalgia trip for the most part. I'm not too big on the 80s, especially since I wasn't around back then. I don't think I have too much of a reason to watch it, but if I ever do have a reason to watch it I guess I'll give it a shot. The 80s are really boring, though.
