Aquaman. The movie was amazing. The experience was terrible.

So I went to see the movie in IMAX 3D and I got in my seat about 2 minutes before the trailers started. First I thought it was weird because the first trailer was for Aquaman. Why show a trailer for the movie you're about to show? They showed 2 more trailers and then the movie started. The wrong movie.

They started showing Spider-Man: Into the Spider-verse. A few people went out to tell the workers and they stopped the movie. After a couple minutes they started a new batch of trailers. They said they can't skip the trailers so the movie would start after the trailers end. Only problem was that the trailer audio didn't play. We watched the trailers while the theater was playing Christmas music through the speakers.

That really sucked because two of the trailers we saw but couldn't here were the new IMAX exclusive ones of Shazam and Avengers: Endgame. After like 3 or 4 trailers the movie started, only our 3D glasses weren't working. Again some people went out to tell the workers and 5 minutes into the movie they turned it off to tell us that they don't know how to turn the 3D projector on. Then they start the movie from the beginning.

The movie itself was amazing. But then, a few minutes before the ending, the projector randomly decided to start playing various ads. So for a few minutes of movie and the entire credits, you're watching the film and random commercials at the same time blended together. As we walked out they gave everyone a free ticket to use for a different movie.

All in all, a $24 143 minute long IMAX 3D movie turned into a roughly 181 minute IMAX movie that had about 6% of the content blocked by commercials.

LOL must have been someones first day on the job! Literately everything that could go wrong went wrong. That is a LOT of money for a ticket though, $24.... is it really that expensive these days? Use to be like $10.

Also, I just got back from watching the movie and I quite enjoyed it. Overall really good movie.

I only have 2 real issues with the movie and they are minor.

1) how many times can an explosion signal the entrance of a bad guy?
2) how did that guy survive being crushed by rubble only to walk away with his family 5 seconds later?

Other than that I enjoyed it.... and even those 2 things are very minor issues I have.

geeogree : Also how in the world did they film the movie to make it look like their hair was floating around. That really got me. Even if there was a fan blowing in front of them it wouldn't have had that effect.

Also how many explosions can there be under water?

That hair effect was pretty good. I really wondered how they did it. I honestly think they did the hair completely CGI. I can't figure out how else it would have been done.

You can have explosions under water.... just not for very long

Welcome to the Movie Theater business where they can really screw you over. 

I hope you got your money back for such a bad experience, especially since they're getting ad revenue from showing you ads you didn't want. 

Just a free ticket to another movie, eh. They really screwed up. I don't understand why they can't just set up the correct movie and play it. 

Barathemos : I mean, we're supposed to see the ads, just not during the movie.

Another thing happened when I went to see Mary Poppins Returns. Like 30 minutes into the movie the fire alarm accidently turned on and all 20 movies in the theater stopped playing.

Took about 30 minutes to start the movies up again and all movies after that were also delayed.

If you're looking for the worst movie ever, go check out Lolita and A Clockwork Orange by Stanley Kubrick.

Both of them are senseless, stupid, overly-inappropriate for the wrong reasons, f***ed up beyond belief, overrated as balls (Weirdly enough, people actually like this s***.), crappier than freshly-dumped bovine poop, disturbing as hell, and overall just plain bad.

Sorry if it's off-topic, but the thread was titled "Worst Movie Ever", so I couldn't help but throw in what are the worst movies ever.

Rayman85 : I can't really understand why people like "Lolita" so much either. That goes for "Fifty Shades of Grey". That one was unbearable to watch and just plain stupid, but people liked it! WHY!?

I hated the aquaman film with a burning passion, although that is mainly because I just so happen to hate aquaman with a burning passion too. It is all starting to come together now! XD
