Well that rumor wasn't a rumor for long, was it? In some recent (And since deleted) tweets, Target confirmed that they will be carrying the new Spyro game, and when it should be in stock. In reply to inquiries, they said the following: "We're "all fired up" about the Spyro treasure trilogy game as well! We don't currently have any information about when this game will be available for preorder." They went on to encourage the individual(s) to continue checking back with them for availability.

The second tweet read
"The only information we have at this time is that we anticipate Spyro Treasure Trilogy will be coming in late 2018."

So there you have it: Target is expecting not only to have the game in stock, but to have it in stock later this year. All that leaves now is the waiting. Also of note is that the person that Target was replying to in the first tweet did not use the name Treasure Trilogy, so it seems that Target has also confirmed the working name, though the final product's name might not be the same.
Strange how this accidental leak on social media thing seems to happen with every hotly anticipated, rumored game -- remake or otherwise. It kind of makes you wonder if it's all that accidental. Maybe, maybe not, but either way, we'll take what we can get. Especially once we can get this game.

Yes... accidental.
Just like before every iPhone release where a phone is "accidentally" left somewhere.
