I found out entirely by accident when I was playing Flash games on another site. The game created looked very similar to Contra but it was obvious right away to be a fan game rather than a port with some graphics changes.

That made me wonder if Contra had ever been ported to Flash (I've always used downloaded emulators, so I never thought to search for any games directly except for FAQ pages and such.

After that point, I really don't know how I ended up making it here because the version of Contra that I found was not from this site.

Oh well. I'm here now so who cares?

I saw the site mentioned in passing on the discussion forums over at GameTap. I used to be a GameTap subscriber, but then they went to the web-only client, which was a massive disappointment and worked even worse than GameTap 3, which never worked very well for me under Vista or Win7 in the first place. GameTap got worse and worse over time, and then started losing big-name libraries, and simply stopped being worth my money, so I dropped it.

I went back to the forums from time to time in the desperate hope they were improving. Nope! In fact, they're getting worse; they lost the Namco license regularly. Someone on the forum there mentioned Vizzed, and thus, here I am.

Well before I discovered vizzed I was playing games my VBA and PJ64 etc. Emulators, until a friend told me that in school they play Pokémon Yellow on the computer through vizzed. I always used my flash drive when I was in school so I never heard of it, and thought I would check it out now here I am....addicted to vizzed! XD

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
