thenumberone : yup, I was thinking the same.

calling someone who committed suicide a coward - that is far more cowardly to me than suicide.
You can't just fix something inside you like you can fix a broken chair or whatever. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try though.
And just because some people succeed in fixing themselves, doesn't mean everyone will.
You can't compare everyone and everything from your point of view, see the bigger picture people.

Like I've mentioned before and has been mentioned in this thread also - people who committ suicide  are past the point where they actually think about how it will make others feel - they just can't live with themselves anymore, for whatever the reasons.
So, the concepts of "coward" and "selfish" do not apply here.
If someone actually killed themselves in order to hurt other people then I'd call it selfish and cowardly.

TargetDummy : how is it going with lucid dreaming?
I haven't been able to do it, haven't actually tried, though most of the time I know I am dreaming but the whole 'being in control' of my dream is hazy still.

and Someone70, I'd like to hear more of your dreams.

How often do you dream?

Do you remember your dreams, write them down?

What kind of dreams have you seen many times and what do you think they mean? (not intentionally rhyhming)

By many times I mean those dreams that are exactly the same, you just kind of know that you've seen it already,
I hope you understand me.

Yet sometimes my "repeating dreams" change too - overall is same, but maybe a person is different or I decide to do something differently.

And are you aware that you are dreaming? And can you control them? Like, when something attacks you, you just stop and say "this is not real" etc?

What do you mostly see?

Today I had stupid nightmares and at one point I lost the line between being awake and dreaming, I hate when that happens -
you think you are awake but actually you are not and get freaked out by things that appear. Creepy stuff.

I heard the door opening and steps coming to the bed, I thought to myself that my sister's flatmate wants something (visiting my sister),
but then it was a voice of a little girl maybe, it sounded more like a machine, and I was so sure I wasn't sleeping.

Later in my dream I had moved to a new apartment, it was so beautiful, lots of colours and old furniture.
But suddenly all the neighbours started to come in, I tried to lock the door but they still just walked in.
I went to the hall and shouted at them that why are they in my home, why won't they leave.
Someone threatened me with a gun to let him/her in.
And then there were lots of children, 2 girls told me that they came to see me because people are talking about me.
Doesn't sound scary at all, rather irritating, but when I finally woke up I was so scared.
Something about it made me so darn anxious.
Maybe somewhere, subconsciously, it has a big meaning I fail to see.??

Megaupload case is just more than I can grasp.

The men running it might get maximum 20 years in prison! I mean, how absurd is that?!?!

They're not a threat to society, quite the opposite, yet they're being treated as murderers.

Some people kill other people, rape, rob, etc and they might not get 20 years in prison.

Where's the logic?

Like, really...

American and Estonian law system is different I know. Here, they would get maximum 3 years in prison for intellectual theft.

But to send someone to prison for that, imo, is stupid. Prisons are for those who are dangerous for other people physically.

And SOPA-PIPA are literally a veto to culture!

I always find all kinds of different movies and music online, from some X country I have never heard of.

If they wouldn't be on internet, I wouldn't know. Plus, they don't import every country's music-movies-etc to every country.

So, if I want some African movie that's not available in my country I should go to Africa?

Yeah, like we all have tons of money -.-

Internet is so common now and it helps to spread art, music, ideas, you name it.

Paulo Coelho made a good post about it in his blog, read it: http://paulocoelhoblog.com/2012/01/20/welcome-to-pirate-my-books/

And because internet is as common as it is and not that expensive monthly, even families with not so many financial security can afford it.

Take down all the music and movies and by doing so they'll be creating a caste-system basically - culture only for the rich!

Maybe I'm a bit exaggerating, but. it really ..... me offf.

maybe some people find it easier to be angry than to be happy
I do not know why

also, through our lives, we have to "prove" ourselves, whatever it is - work, school, relationships.
people are more and more stressed because we demand more and more from others and by doing so, we make the rules for ourselves.

it's like that story about a bird on the roof who can't fly away because when he stands up, his tailfeathers get stuck on the roof and when he bows, his peak gets stuck.

ReZa : yes, true.

Right now, in one, I don't think there is a cure, though.

About the above one - it works but can't just do it every time

Doing my BA in social work administration. So, that would make me a future social worker.
I see so many things around me that need fixing, especially people who need fixing,  that's why I chose it.
Don't actually need a degree for helping, but it sure makes a lot of things easier when you are "qualified".

In 2004 I went to Russia (st.petersburg, mihhailovskoje) and Sweden (passing through) and Norway (Hobol, Fredrikstad, Oslo and later the fjords!).

in 2009 I went to Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, France, Spain (back and forth the same way)

in 2010 I went to Latvia, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain and then back to Estonia through France, Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Latvia. It was a killer trip!

in 2011 I went to Latvia, Lithuania and Poland (to that Woodstock festival I was once talking about) and back the same way.
Also I went to Sweden, to look around in Stockholm for a day.

As i mostly travel by hitch-hiking I tend to visit same countries a lot. But I really want to travel somewhere outside of Europe this year.

I got the chance to participate in an international project on immigration.
Can't wait!

Is there a youth centre in the area you live?

What can you do there, how many people and who made it, are trying to make it work?

Or is there something similar where you can spend your time?

And what do you think of such places? Should there be more of them? Or none at all?
Or what would you like to do in such a place?

Where do you live?

How often something of the sort happens?
(I hope I won't trigger any bad memories now, just curious)

Estonia is pretty safe as far as it concerns tornados or earthquicks. We do have them, but really small ones.

I moved to another city a couple of years ago, it's at the seaside and it's always stormy here, sea and river flooding, etc.

This winter we've had awfully lots of storms, too. (funnily without snow)

I wrote a report the whole night and then went straight to school to make a presentation about it.
That went really good, actually.

Then I found out I had failed a class because I didn't attend enough (75% rule).

You win some, you lose some.

Well, wow, they CAN dance.

But I agree, let kids be kids...one thing is when they practice dancing, then it's OK to me, but performing it like that?

World's gone crazy with all kinds of talent shows over the years, there seems to be a point of view that when you don't start young, you won't make it.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
