It took me a bit to get into MM's, but yeah, I love it at least as much as OoT now. The race masks are awesome, its so much fun to play as a Goron. My only complaint about MM is that it more or less makes Epona useless with the bunny mask and Goron mask (expecially combined with Lon Lon Milk). All you really need her for is to jump the four or so fences in the game. Going a bit of topic, but Twilight princess suffered the same flaw. I have completed both games numerous times, so yeah, lets say I like them about equally.

Also, I really don't understand why people are always ranting about the water temples. I admit the Water Temple in OoT gave me a bit of a run around with the locations of a one of its keys (most people will know which one) the first time I played it, but...

I have a Sega Megadrive (aka Genesis) with 32x and Sega CD, and a Dreamcast. I would like every other retro Sega console as well.

I got this way back when... Found the website, downloaded the demo, reached the end and immediately bought the full game. Played it for hours more. By know I have it installed on two PC's, and there is nothing left to unlock or do on either one But yeah, its a fun game to play when you have nothing else to do.

When I see thread like these, I personally always feel that everyone should go for one of the classics. One of the simple arcade games that stood at the beginning of gaming, and are still going strong today. Think Tetris, Space Invaders, Missile Command (to a lesser degree)...

My vote goes for Snake. The majority of people with a mobile phone I assume still play this game. I never get tired of it, I strongly doubt it will ever disappear and everybody knows it. And of course its available for every gaming platform imaginable, including the PC.

I play RTS games pretty much single player only, and Starcraft has still one of the best storylines in an RTS game I have ever experienced. I bought the Starcraft II CE, and I immediately started playing SC 1 again. I have yet to install II If you want to play multiplayer though, I am a bore. Everyone can completely blow me away, I'm sure.

One of the first games I played, other then chess and 4-in-a-row and such, was this game where you had @ presenting elephants and a $ presenting a snake, and you had to use the $ to scare the @ into a cage. Later on there were games like Commander Keen, Test Driver (also known as Stunts), Castle of the Winds (man I loved that game), X-Wing vs Star Fighter, Descent... Still later there were games like Starcraft, Warcraft, Full Throttle, the Tex Murphy games (those were fun)... I don't know. I played quite a lot.

Firstly, I am pretty sure seeron was talking about Daikatana being a failure, not American McGees Alice.

In my opinion, this game is one of those slightly hidden gems not that many people have played. I personally feel its not particularly hard, but the story is very grasping and the game breathes a very edgy, slightly dark atmosphere that I really enjoy. Cheshire Cat especially adds a lot of depth to the game, and he really helps setting the mood. He is voiced by Roger Labon Jackson, and Roger did a great job. All in all, yes, if you can get your hands on this game I certainly would give it a go.

Aye, this will be a nice place to try out games I don't own yet. If I like them enough I can always add them to my collection

It was disappointing, but I am not that much of a soccer fan to care much about it. Obviously I wasn't in South Africa for any of the games. I feel I'd be wasting my time if I would have been there watching soccer games, much rather would have spend my time photographing wildlife (not that I am obsessed with photography, far from it).

Favourite game? In general I say Snake, because its a game I can play for hours without getting tired of it. On the Megadrive its probably... Geez, that is tough... I couldn't say. SNES is an easy one though, Super Mario RPG.

I do. Its a very nice sport to have on in the background. I started watching more or less at the beginning of Stephen Hendry's hay-days. I loved watching him. He is obviously passed his prime now, but I still enjoy his matches and there are plenty of other good players to root for. Ronny O'Sullivan, Shaun Murphy and its always a delight to watch Ding Junhui. I do miss Paul Hunter though.

The Raccoons. One of the best animated tv shows in history in my opinion. I am so tired of people dismissing it just because of the design of the characters' noses...

I just found this place through a random link somebody posted somewhere. It immediately grabbed my interest. I love the idea of trying to save these games for future generations. I am not sure how much I will actually play them, since I sorta semi-collect retro games and consoles myself. I own an American SNES, European SNES with Super Gameboy, two Sega Megadrives (European version of the Genesis) one with a Sega CD and 32X, Dreamcast, N64 and some more modern consoles too (Cube and Wii). I also have two original gameboys, a gameboy colour, and again more modern ones (SP Tribal and DS). My biggest game library is definitely for the Megadrive, it will always be my favourite console. So I prefer to play them on their consoles instead of online

I also noticed a retro toon section. Might as well get it out of the way now, I consider myself part of the furry fandom, though my interest lies mainly in furry cartoons. You won't see me walk around dressed up as a fox or something. Anyway, I collect furry cartoons as well, so I will be looking into that section too

Other then that I live in the Netherlands, study Wildlife Management, love boardgames and ehm... yeah. I don't know. Anything else you want to know, ask, other then that... We will see how active I am here. Does seem like a nice place to chat with other retro game fans and maybe even toon fans
