I thought I put it in the computer forum. As for price checking I may have been able to find it $10 cheaper on a site I've never heard of but beyond that I only see it less for a used version. $297 with two day shipping and no tax? Tough to beat that.

Seems like an awesome deal and reviews have been positive. 27 inch monitor for that price seems like a steal.

It's not a PS3 limit. MAG had 256 player matches. That game was heavily optimized for PS3. I'd guess Battlefield is likely optimized for PC. The PS3 and 360 may not be able to handle the bigger maps either. Shouldn't really be too much of an issue though. I'm sure there are some technical reasons behind it.

So whatever happened with this?

Edit: After listening to a bit of this, podcast is the wrong name for this. This is just you reading off the news. Really for a podcast you need multiple people, I have examples on my site if you want to get a better idea.

Cyro, you may not be considering that you drink as a factor. Generally an average weight person would probably get the effect with 1 beer. If you drink more often or are heavier/lighter that will have to be adjusted. But the one to two beer range would likely be where you would want..

Don't drink, don't really care to. And the title is misleading. As some have mentioned the alcohol would merely take the edge off and help you relax. A glass of wine would do the same thing.

The best thing about iPad is that some apps simply aren't on the Android store. Beyond that the functionality can be found elsewhere.

I have a Kindle Fire, stock you are limited to the Amazon app store, but rooting the thing and getting Google play is easy. You still are able to use your Amazon stuff as well.  It doesn't have a camera or microphone and it looks like Bluetooth may not function. But depending on what you want it may be a good choice for you. Having access to all your amazon content (especially if you pull up more than just books) is nice. Amazon prime members can instant stream the videos from their prime accounts on the Fire. If you have muisc or videos from amazon digital then you can access them as well.

I'm hoping that soon enough I'll have the option to use my Kindle as a remote for my TV over wi-fi.

The thing with tablets and smartphones is you never know what apps people will come up with.

Lazlo Falconi : Of course, but there are so very few times I actually need color that it's pretty silly for me to get one. Now if you want to buy a real (read: non-deskjet/ inkjet color printer) that's another story.. They are quite a bit more expensive, but at least the toner won't dry out.

I'm just not a fan of the inkjet system currently. I mean if you print lots then maybe it works, but half the time I feel like your just as good off buying a new injet than trying to find cartridges for one that is 2 years old or so. You theoretically get 300 pages from a cartridge but I doubt I have as they always seem to dry out.

Better machines? How so? I'm sorry but hardware wise a PC is going to beat a Mac any day of the week. Starting quad cores are nearly $1,200 and  that's if you don't want an iMac pro (then it's $2,500). $1,200 can build you a great PC.  Heck $700 can build you a great PC. I used to agree with the thought that they costed a bit more, but now to me they are going a bit overboard. In today's tech times prices flatten out extremely quickly.

If you like Mac OS I can understand that.  However, bootcamp to me isn't a real answer to the this app doesn't run on Mac problem, yes I know about bootcamp but you are emulating Windows. That's already going to hurt performance.  There are a few Mac virus's if I recall correctly, but they are very rare. But you have to know that one major reason for that is because people don't really try to make Mac viruses.  Think about it why would I write a virus for such a small market rather than Windows. It's also easier because it's been done to death. People would probably get pretty good at writing virus's for Macs if they put more time into trying it.

I've used a Mac before, it wasn't a bad experience, but I didn't really think it was all that different from a PC. Some of the GUI ideas were better implemented than XP and there were some advantages, but I can't see paying the extra money for a computer that has generally weaker hardware and requires emulation to run a lot of programs. People say *but you get more programs with it" and if you are going to take advantage of those programs, great go for it. But for most people it's a bit of a waste.

And what about their customer service practices?  Don't even get me started on the whole sending your computer in to change the hard drive. Same with iPod's and batteries.

I'm not saying there aren't any advantages to Macs, I realize that, but for me I like to know exactly what I'm running and pick out all the parts myself. Running games like BF3 and Cyrsis 2 at 1080p is something I don't think I could pull of on a Mac (at least without paying way too much to do it).

There really isn't one that doesn't have some sort of main storyline. The elder scrolls or newer fallout games have some of the most open paths. There are main story lines, but plenty to explore and do beyond them.

Minecraft is RPG like, but there really isn't an overall goal aside from survive that I'm aware of.

The only game I can think of that lets you entirely make your own choices is pen and paper D&D.  You are only limited by your imagination.
