Super old 90s house music.  Stardust, Rapina Bros., you name it.  Yeah, I'm a 90s kid in case you haven't noticed.  Though I also love rap, various forms of rock, and even a bit of metal.  Also kind of a techno and future funk kinda guy.

Oh man.  My love for nuts is more than you know.  Cashews, peanuts, pistachios, almonds, walnuts, I eat them all.  I admit I need to explore the world of nuts a little more, but man, are they good.  I especially like them in banana nut bread.  You ain't LIVED until you tried that!

There's homebrews based on Kingdom Hearts and almost directly from Kingdom Hearts already all over Pathfinder and D&D, basically any d20 tabletop game you can think of.  However, I totally understand the want for something new to try in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, and honestly, I wondered how much different a tabletop Final Fantasy game would be anyway.  So yeah, I think I'd get behind this.  I just don't know how different it would be, is the thing.

Davideo7 :  Wow, seriously?  That says a lot of Nintendo I've never known before.  What's wrong with them?  Hey, I don't know how much help I can be, but hang in there.  At least not all of the games here are being taken down, right?

This is a question that has multiple answers, at least for me, but I will try to give you a fairly varied one.  Basically, I was raised on console gaming starting with the Sega Genesis, built a fairly big collection of consoles throughout my lifetime, and never really got into PC gaming until Steam entered my life around 2010 or something.  For some things, I agree.  Having physical hardware can add to the authenticity aspect of playing your favorite video games, especially if they were particularly old and you still knew the cheat codes for them.  I remember wishing Sonic & Knuckles Collection was on the Genesis, at least until I grew older and wiser, when I learned that I already basically HAD Sonic & Knuckles Collection by owning Sonic 3, Sonic & Knuckles, and a fair several Genesis cartridges in my bedroom.  But as far as emulation, I apologize, but I think this should be the go-to option if you just don't have the money, don't trust digital distribution, and just REALLY want to play some Turtles in Time or something.  I do agree that people shouldn't just constantly emulate games and never buy the real thing, but at the same time, companies make some pretty weird decisions, so emulation should instead be seen as something of a safe bunker created by the fans.  So I both emulate and purchase physical things proudly.  Because sometimes, it feels good to walk a thin line between two avenues.

The very first video game console I ever owned was a Sega Genesis...well, I kinda stole it from my sister because she had little to no interest in it, but most of the rest of my other consoles came to me without a need for theft.  Yeah, I was kind of a little punk back then.  But back to the point, it all started with the Sega Genesis.  And I literally grew up on Sonic.  End of story.

The game I last played is Sonic the Hedgehog 2.  Let me explain one small detail about myself.  I am a rather compulsive Sonic fan to the point where I will literally sit down and play through Sonic games as all the characters if there exist options to do so.  In fact, I can (and have) play 2P VS modes with myself to milk even more gameplay out of it before I quit.  So I tend to marathon the classic trilogy a lot, and that pretty much helped me get to the point where I'm fairly pro at it save for the special stage segments.  Still need plenty of practice with Sonic CD though...  But yeah.  tl;dr, Sonic 2.  Good and varied classic in my opinion.

Sonic Unleashed is a notoriously hated Sonic game that I know and love, simply because people hate on the Werehog.  I know it slows the game down, and I know some people keep saying it's kind of a God of War rip-off, but I find it fun and challenging enough to explore each zone at night (yes, I'm that kind of Sonic fan) and grind up on EXP so I can get better and better.  I'm really sorry, but I love that.  Though, that's not to say I don't like the normal daytime zones.  I love the daytime ones, it's just that they can get a little tricky and gimmicky, especially the faster Sonic goes.  Plus, this was back when Sega thought it would be a good idea to make the Sonic Drift move incredibly loose, requiring extensive knowledge and practice of both the move and Sonic's increase in speed until it's perfected, as it's imperative for later zones like Jungle Joyride Zone.  But even then, at the end of the day, I think this is a Sonic game I'd go back to again and again...but not necessarily to delete my save data, because there is no way in heck I'm going to hunt for those medals for the second time.  Things are diabolically placed...like Green Stars...

Hey guys.  My name is Authur, and I was referred to this site by a good friend of mine.  I tried a Sonic hack on here once, and it was rather nice, but it was on the keyboard.  I'm more of a gamepad guy, so I was just wondering a few things about this place so I could make myself comfortable.

1. How can I upload a profile picture?
2. How can I make a custom sig?  It's just a text thing, don't expect me to throw up an obnoxious. jpg file.
3. How can I edit my profile in general?

I must have missed those links somewhere, so I may have to zoom in just a little bit, but even on this big monitor of mine, I can't quite see everything.  The background kind of throws me off a little bit.  Though, it's just something for me to get used to.  I can deal with it.  Other than that, I'm handling this site just fine.  I hope to have a lot of fun here and meet a lot of friends, and I wish the same for every other member here.  Happy gaming!

Wow, this is kind of stupid if you think about it.  Especially in the case of fan games.  Aren't both fan games and official games supposed to keep you in the fandom and encourage you to buy the real thing if you feel like it?  I only emulate and explore sites like these because I don't quite have the money to buy retro games and retro systems that are probably ready to fall apart anyway, so I treat playing them online like a sort of try before you buy thing.  Like Blockbuster, but less annoying and you don't have to pay for anything.

Honestly, I hope Nintendo of America realizes what they're doing before it's too late, because I don't appreciate this type of hostility towards its own customer and fan base.  But hey.  Hopefully, we won't get this type of really cruddy treatment from Sega...and hopefully, I didn't just horribly jinx myself.
