This is a thread where you share an awesome memory that you'll never forget. It can be a recent or past memory, just a memory that you think will stay with you forever.

A memory that I will always remember was back when I was about 8. Every kid on the street used to know each other and hang out and do a bunch of stuff. we would mostly play sports or manhunt but a lot of the time we would be doing things that would get us in trouble. This memory is from when we where playing nicky nicky nine door, for those of you who are unfamiliar it is when you have to ring the door bell of nine houses and run off (basically ding dong ditch). There where a bunch of us of varying ages and I was the youngest of the group. We where going along like a normal day banging doors and running when on one of the doors we rang the guy came out with a gun. We all ran like crazy, I remember the oldest one threw me on his shoulder cause he would always look after me. The guy fired some shots at us and we never looked back we just kept running. when we finally stopped we realised that there was a bullet stuck in one of the guys shoes. We all started laughing and joking about it cause we where dumb kids. We did still play nicky after that day but never at that house again.

This memory may seem more like a horror memory or a scary one but to me it is a very valued memory and one that I love. A lot of the kids from my street grew up and moved away leaving me the youngest. The newer generation of kids are all stuck up and stay cooped up in their houses with their phones or videogames. It makes me sad that I won't be able to play outside and cause mischief like I used to and that the newer generation won't get to live the fun we used to have.

Even though I'm not that old myself, what makes me feel old is realising that in the place I live now kids playing outside is a rare occasion. I live on a side street and I remember back when I was 7 or so all the kids on the street would know each other and we would be outside causing mischief everyday. It didn't matter if you where 6 or 16 you would be included. Now adays I look outside and the street is dead silent, it's not that there aren't any kids on my street but they are locked up in there house playing videogames or on their phone. It's like that on most side streets that I pass by as well not just mine. Just remembering the days when all the kids from all the streets used to meet up and play manhunt or nicky nicky nine door makes me feel old.

My name comes from back when I used to be kinda cocky. Something that holds "sentimental value" is an object that is very close to your heart or has meaning to you, normally something given to you by a loved one (don't quote me on this). I chose the name cause I thought of my self as "Loved by all, hated by none". I grew to really love the name and use it as a lot of my user names.

just rated 100 songs, only took about an hour and a half lol. I forgot how great Chrono Trigger, and Final Fantasy's soundtracks are, makes me want to go and replay the series. Would be great if we could get the GBA soundtracks next. I would love to hear the fire emblem sound tracks again I never did unlock them all in game.

Oh yea I loved the old cartoons, especially their adult humor that flew under most people radars. I still go back to cartoon network to watch some of my favorite oldies like cat dog, the rugrats, and ren and stimpy

Unlike most people my first anime wasn't pokemon. The first anime that I remember watching was bakugan. I remember I used to wait in huge anticipation every day for bakugan to come on.

There are thousands of game in the RGR and way too little time to play them all, but I thought of a way for people to experience some new games, here,s how this will work. The first person will recommend a game in the RGR for the user below to play, the next user to post has to play the game than recommend another RGR game for the next user to play. It would be good to give a little bit of a description of the game as well. Well let the horr.. I mean fun commence.

Well the first game that I shall recommend be played is Tales of the fire emblem. It is a hack of Fire Emblem: sacred stones with the original story line but the characters are replaced with Tales of symphonia characters.

I started it out fun

Ferdinand : sounds like you had a tough childhood, and I understand what you mean about the barrier, it's like someone gets close but
once they get to a certain point you begin to panic and close yourself off from them, It's like a self defense mechanism. I'm beginning to feel like emotion suppression is going to end up largely impacting my future.

Jordanv78 : It's hard finding someone that you can truly trust though because nowadays there are so may fake people. It's also made harder to talk to people about because of all the stereotypes that males have to face about this sort of thing. Family would probably be the best option but I only have females in my house, so it never felt comfortable talking to them. Although I do have some close friends who would probably hear me out, but I'm the type of person that sees the glass as half empty so i see the negatives and end up asking "what if....".

janus : when I was younger I had anger issues as well, the slightest things would send me into a frenzy, however somewhere along the lines that disappeared. I agree with you that there is a time and place for letting out emotions however I've never let out my emotions since I was really young so even though I realize this now it's made harder to do because of that fact. Honestly only having 2 emotions doesn't sound that appalling to me but I would probably not be very happy in life.

Kuti_Kat : I've made sure not to hold in my anger as I do know if I do I'd explode and end up hurting people around me. Video games have always let me release my anger even though people living in my house think I'm crazy . I appreciate the advice, and no I'd much prefer not to explode, I ain't a grenade lol. I don't much trust anyone, I ended up messing up the relationship with one of the only people I truly trusted sooooo yeaaa. The journal does sound like a good idea though, I'll remember that if I ever feel like somethings truly bothering me.

For someone who dislikes talking about this I seem to be talking alot about this lol

hello y'all, I know that everyone suppresses their emotions but I'm the type of person that doesn't show any emotion other than happy.I don't know why but I've never been able to openly talk about "feeling" or "emotions". Not only talk I also don't like showing any emotions so I always plaster a smile on my face even if i feel like I'm drowning in emotion. I've always loved making people smile so I turn everything into a joke. I honestly enjoy living my life like this, I know it may not seem like a great way to be but it works well for me and for people around me. However it's hard to be in a relationship since I don't talk about anything that's wrong. After years Of suppressing my emotions its starting to feel like they are fading. It feels like I don't feel many emotions anymore. I don't know if its just a feeling I have or if I'm really beginning to become emotionless. It's not really something that bothers me since I keep them inside anyways but I feel like this will affect me some way in the future. Lets end this with a question, anyone else go through a lot to suppress their emotions? Another question for the more experienced of vizzed users, has hiding emotions affected your love life?
