Overall: 9 Doom, a name that every gamer knows, a video game in the hall of fame. Doom 2 was released in 1994 and it took 10 years for Doom 3 to be made and released. If you had the PC version is was great and scary. The Xbox port got a watered down port of it, still scary and fun but annoying. How dose the BFG edition hold ? Graphics: 7 Its look a bit better than it did on the xbox but still looks old. When Doom 3 was on the Xbox it look really good and better than some of the early Xbox 360 games looked. The game looks a lot smoother than it did in 2004. But overall a lot better and worth it if you care about the graphics. Oh and Doom 1 & 2 still look the same which is good. Sound: 10 The spooky and scary sound of Doom on the PlayStation is here in HD. There no action soundtrack, just scary, erie look to the game. There will be moments you here a vent move, look where sound come from and, nothing. When you first fight the Mancubus for the first time and you here that grumble you will be sacred stiff. Addictiveness: 4 Well after you beat Doom and do everything, you will want to play it then leave it for a while and then play it again. The main reason is that there nothing new for you to play after you complete Doom 3. Well there is the nightmare mode after you beat the game. But apart from that there is nothing new for replay value. Story: 7 Doom 3 take place in 2045 where hell invades and there are wired tests going on Mars. When hell invades a doctor called Malcolm Betruger, who is the master of hell as he started the invasion and is reason why you are the only one to survive. Doom 2 and Doom 2 have no link to the story. Doom Resurrection Of Evil takes place a few after the events of Doom 3 and you have a artefact's that give powers to slow down time and many others powers, and Betruger is behind it. There is a another story, Doom The Lost Missions which is your the last member of bravo team and that's is really. Depth: 8 With Doom3, Resurrection of Evil and the new Lost Missions being added to Doom 3 it is worth it. Plus you got Doom 1,2 and a extra pack called No Rest for the Living which is hard. There is lot to do and the game takes a lot of time to beat. Difficulty: 5 If play off nightmare mode, the game is easy. When nightmare mode is one the game is hard. Your health goes down at random and makes game a lot harder. But that is all it has got a lot going for it. Doom 3 BFG is worth it if you have a Xbox 360 or PS3 as it a real treat. But for PC owners don't bother, just get Doom3 and a few mods and will look the same. I know the review is really short but I'm doing a really long one Coming up so I did this to hold you guys over. The review won't be long as the game only as 3 cars and 4 tracks Overall: 8 Sega Rally Championship, an arcade port of the famous Sega Rally game. The game was the one of the first games on the Saturn and was very short with only one car and track that both can be unlocked With 2 cars and 3 tracks to start. They where fun in the arcade and having it at home was much easier and cheaper. With the Saturn having many of the hardware that the arcades had, dose it still look the same. Graphics: 8 Apart from the choppy frame rate is really good the cars do look like the cars they are meant to be but the cars that you can't play can be hard to figure out what they are meant to be. The world is good for a early 3D game and I think Sega are the starters of games when it comes to 3D with the Saturn be one of the first 3D consoles. Compare to Daytona USA it looks much better which is odd as both games where released at around the same time. Sound: 4 The sound is, mixed. The music on the tracks are okay but the replay music is, questionable. The cars both sound the same and don't have any thing to stand out, apart from the shape and colours. The Voice that tells you where to go, it's really clear and not muffle which is nice and different for the time. Addictiveness: 7 For the shortness of the game it really fun and addictive. I think is has the high replay value, has there this a lap time leader bored and trying to be 1st and beating that time, that what make it addictive in my mind. While most game this short do not get very addictive this one is a good example. There is no story for this game is just a fun, fast, rally game. Depth: 2 With only 2 cars: a Toyota Celica and a Lancia Delta, with the unlock able Lancia Stratos and 3 tracks with one to unlocked which don't stand out at all but after you play the first track, you will know the track of by hart. Difficulty: 3 The only way this game can be hard is if you put your car settings in manual instead of automatic. Your told what turns are coming up and the tracks are really easy when you know what is going to come up and what to do. That is all the difficulty in the game. Sega Rally is one of the best on the Saturn it is easy to find but can be in a mix of prices and condition of the discs if you do find this game. There are many ports but play the Saturn port, or if you have the money and the space by the arcade machine. Overall: 8 Sega Rally Championship, an arcade port of the famous Sega Rally game. Overall: 10 Sonic 3 was not that good for me when I first play it. When I beat the Final Boss it felt very odd. I was Like That's it. When I played Sonic Jam and played Sonic 3 and Knuckles for the first time I felt better. It was only a few years later when I got the Internet, I found out Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles where meant to be 1 game, not 2. But sonic 3& Knuckles is the one of the best if not the best game I've ever played. But the levels are really big and fun with a mix of platform areas, timed jumps and walks and speed. Angel Island Zone- is green hill zone but with a tropical look and a jungle that catches fire and is fairly easy and good for beginners. Hydrocity Zone- the only zone which both acts is mostly under water and can be hard at times. Marble Garden Zone- a okay level but the spike balls can be a pain and the crushers. You can get a load of rings as well, the most I got is 740 rings. Carnival Night Zone- A Casio Night zone feel with the barrels being the pain of the level. There one that a lot of people have trouble with but when you know it, it becomes really easy. Ice cap zone- My favorite level in Sonic 3, lots of speed and the music is good. And act 2 is really fast. Launch Base zone- not that hard or long and is very boring of a final level (until Sonic & Knuckles) Sonic & Knuckles levels. Mushroom Hill Zone- A easy level and very mushroom themed. It is possible to get all 7 Super Emeralds in the one zone. Flying Battery Zone.- a level with bottomless pits and easy areas to get crushed, but is really fun. Sandopolis Zone- I don't like this level, is not bad but the 2nd act is really long. Lava Reef Zone- if you don't have the fire shield you will get hit a lot. The fire shield will make this act easy. Sky Sanctuary Zone- Long and can be really hard with many areas to jump into bottomless pits and areas that can get you crushed. Death Egg Zone- the hardest level and can be painful with some areas difficult to do. Act 2 as anti gravity which is a pain on the conveyor belt. Doomsday Zone- where you rammed into Robotnik like a angry bull. Graphics: 10 The game on the Mega Drive as never been so beautiful. Full of colours and sonic looks great and shows what the Mega Drive can do. With Sonic 2 it looks much better which for the time was really good. Sonic never breaks and keeps the animations rolling. Sound: 9 Some of the music is really good and some of best of Music before Crush 40 started doing the music. All the levels fit the stages well and really go the atmosphere. Carnival Night sounds like a Circus song and Death Egg sounds si-fi. Compare to sonic1 and 2 the same level only that all the songs are great. Addictiveness: 9 With 3 different stories and many different paths to take the replay value is really high. I take different paths all the time and some can lead to an extra life or cut a massive chunk of the level. Story: 5 Its a sonic story there not much to say. But the extra is you need to get the Master Emerald to save Angel Island to put it back into the sky. Both Sonic and Tails story are the same. Knuckles story take place after Sonic Story which is the same but you need to get the Master Emerald from Mecha Sonic and Robotnik. Depth: 7 The levels are big, 3 different playable stories. The levels are so big you could take many routes to get to the goal. With the chance to unlock Hyper Sonic from collecting the 7 Chaos Emeralds and the Super Emeralds will make you very powerful. The only thing that can kill Hyper Sonic is getting crushed and Bottomless pits. Even if you do 100% you still want to replay it to find a different route. Knuckles as many different paths and they are dangerous and hard. Difficulty: 5 If you played it as much as I did it is very easy, unless you play as Knuckles his levels are hard and will make you rage quit a few times. Playing as Tails is easy as you can fly over major part of the levels. When you get the super forms all you need is play till the end. The game is best of the sonic. Don't play sonic 3 or Sonic and Knuckles alone play them together. Sonic 3 was not that good for me when I first play it. When I beat the Final Boss it felt very odd. I was Like That's it. Overall: 1 This is worst than Sonic 06. The game was made to try and undo the damage Sonic 06 did and well it made it much worst. This is the most lazy port of Sonic 1. Sega should be ashamed to publish this. Sonic 10th anniversary was celebrated by Sonic Adventure 2 a good game, so what happened here for the 15th. Graphics: 7 The game looks great, not as good as the Mega Drive one but still look good. The animations are pretty good as well. They really hit the nail on the head with this and kept the style of game play. But that is it, the only thing that makes this games worth playing. So stay with the other ports. Sound: 2 The music is terrible and will hurt your ears. The music you know and love, have been butchered and hurt a lot. I love Starlight Zones music, but when I herd it on the gba I was annoyed at how bad it sound. The music is bad as whole. After you here it, you will want to here the 16-bit any other port or remix of the levels music to make you feel better. Addictiveness: 1 This game is not as addictive as the other ports, while the other ports you will want to play and play again, this one will make you not want to touch it again and put it a box to never be played again. At time you had no choice but now you would never play it. Story: 1 The Story has not been touch at all, the story is that Robotnik as taken all of animals of South Island and its up to save all of the woodland creatures and make the world a happier place. The Chaos Emeralds only change the ending in this game and there is no super Sonic. Depth 2 This would higher if was doing the original sonic 1. There nothing special l to keep you playing. There 2 versions of the game; Original mode and anniversary mode which only adds the spin dash which is pointless and I cant see why they cant add it to the original game. There a juke box which if have the gift of hearing you won't want. Difficulty: 7 The is much harder than any other Sonic 1 port, why? The SLOWDOWN its everywhere and always gets bad when the you don't want it to be. Scarp Brain a level when there so much happening the game becomes so slow. If the slowdown was not that bad it would be playable. Sonic on the gba is the worst Sonic game ever. With this being the only Sonic 1 on the go in 2006 is was good. Now there's a psp and a Nintendo ds port of Sonic 1 the gba port can be left in dust. This is worst than Sonic 06. Overall: 5 The getaway, a gta style game set in London. I like the idea myself, as I live in London I was hoping to see everything I know. I like it when I was young and now playing it, I wonder why I like this game. The game is okay, not bad it's playable but not has good as the GTA games. Graphics: 4 For London it looks good I can tell what is what and all landmarks are noticeable. In Christmas 2002 my Dad go me a Ps2 and the when I first saw Getaway, one of my frist games on the ps2, I was mind shocked with the graphics it look good at the time. The game now looks ugly and is just wired now. The cars in the game look very real and are real cars like Ford Transits and London taxis. Sound: 3 The sound is bad. The London accents are funny. If you ever herd a cockney accent then herd the Getaway one, you will laugh. The cars have about 3 sounds for all of them, A diesel sound for the buses, vans and trucks. A normal one for normal cars and sporty sounds for the fast cars. Addictiveness: 1 I would never want to play this game twice if you live outside of England, the only reason is that very few games that are set in London and where you can free roam in the english capital. But when the game is beat there a free roam which is all you need. Story 3 There is 2 stories. The first one is you play as Mark Hammond how has been framed about killing his wife and Marks boy is kidnapped by the games villain, Charlie Johnston. You must be his errand boy by killing people, freeing a women called Yasmin who turns to your side half way into the story. At the end of Mark's story you go onto a ship where there is a bomb and mark save his son. Story 2 is from a copper or Pig as we English call them DCI Frank Carter and you are following and trying to arrest the Johnston's and failing until you get on the same ship has Mark. But you do get sacked has a copper The 2 stories do meet up many times in each story or follow each other which was new at time. You run into many gangs. The 14TK (Triads), Yardies (Afro-Caribbean). Plus a Jamaican drug lord called Jamahl who is dangerous, but you don't run into him in game. Depth: 2 There one extra there's is a free roaming mode and that is all that there was on the game. But the game will take a while to beat and can be hard at times. Difficulty: 3 The game is easy most of the time but if you die or lose on time missions your put right back to start which can be annoying. Healing is easy all you need to do is find a wall and move next to it and then your blood will, by magic be gone. The game is not that hard but can be annoying. The controls are stiff but playable. Now The Getaway did really well in Europe but not as well in America. I like it has it was London, If you find it cheap which is easy I would say play it. The getaway, a gta style game set in London. Before I start this is the PlayStation port of Doom, my Saturn review can be found here. https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=86985 Overall: 9 When doom was released in 1993, it was fun and some people found it scary. When the PlayStation port can out, the game took a 180 from action pack, fun game play, to scary, hunted house. The game was not change in levels but some of the bigger levels where removed, due to console limitations, but its not all doom and gloom, there are levels that are only on the PlayStation and Saturn ports, which are still big and easy to get lost in them. All the fun you had on Doom on other systems is here, but more scary. But how dose this port stand to the others? Well lets find out. Graphics: 8 For the time Doom was good for frame rate but now, its very choppy Its not as bad as the Saturn, but it can be annoying from time to time. With that aside, its time for the good part. The look of the game is a lot darker and gloomy than Doom was and has the spooky feel to it. The game also as lighting effects with certain coloured rooms to give a different feel to the game. The monsters look a bit wired when they move and look like robots, but they look much better than they did. Sound: 9 Give credit to Aubrey Hodges who work on the music. Its really scary and much better than it was. When I was young I had to put the light on as some of the levels music scared the life out of me and freaked me out. There was a few levels that I was scared of as the music scared me so much. The weapons sound a lot better and double barrel shotgun sounds like a powerhouse and makes you feel like you are the best. Addictiveness: 7 This port of Doom is very addictive. The frame rate can be annoying at times, but an old saying little bit of dirt never hurt anyone. My point is that it's a little problem. This will not stop the game in any form in anyway. The replay value on a different setting is high. So if you beat the game on I am a wimp (easy) to ultra violence (hard) its worth it. Story: 6 The story has taken a more action packed story. You area solder, one of Earth's toughest: hardened in combat and trained for action. Three years ago you assaulted a superior officer for ordering to shoot upon civilian's. While he was sent to Pearl Harbor, you where sent to Mars. The U.A.C ( Its up to you to save Mars, Earth and become the only hope for humankind. Doom 1 & 2 are put into one story. Depth: 6 The levels are watered down from the PC and many of the secret levels have been removed. With 59 levels to play there is a lot to do and a lot to kill. If you play on easy, the game can't be beaten in one sitting, unless you do a run game where you just go to the exit. On hard, unless your a pro it will take a few days to beat. Difficulty: 7 This game is not a walk in the park. If you go in guns blazing you will die. The first few level are running and gunning but in other levels if you do that, you will be into a corner and killed in a few seconds. One level is hard has you only got one shot and beating the level, Why? You open a door and there about 7 platforms and the exit door. When you stand on the first platform it starts going down and you need to run. With the PS1 D pad, not easy. On Hard mode The monsters in Doom 2 are in Doom 1 and my nightmare the Arch Vile is gone, YAY!!. Now Doom was on every system you could get, some it was good, others bad. I would say Get this port if you can or the PC 2nd. https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=86985 Overall: 9 When doom was released in 1993, it was fun and some people found it scary. Overall: 5.5 Sonic 3D. One of the first 3D sonic games made back in 1996, sort of. I don't really like this game at all, well the Mega Drive port, the Saturn's one better overall. With the game having a isometric view, giving a 3D look. When the game first released a lot of people where amaze, Sonic in 3D this is a sight to be hold. Well the games was played and it looks horrible. Also to add, what is sonic know for? Speed right?. Well in this game he jogs. Graphics: 6 For the time the game looks good and has good animation. Sonic look like Sonic in 3D. The game is colourful and that's all it got for it. But the game world looks nice in the background and Eggman looks like an egg. The shadows can be hard to judge where the platform is and you can make a jump and swear you made the jump and find out you didn't. Sound: 7 The soundtrack is good and the level music sounds great and some are better than the Saturn music. You can tell it's sonic music when you first hear it. However if you get stuck on a level, some of songs will get very annoying and you will want to stop playing. Some of the soundtracks where remixed and put into Sonic Adventure. Some soundtracks are good but some are just boring and don't suit the level. , the Volcano Valley is a good example, the music suit the level really well, while Spring Stadiums level music is horrible. Addictiveness: 2 the game is not repayable at all. The only reason is that you collect Flickes and put them into a big ring, and do that over and over again. Being the Flicky savior can get boring after about 6 times. There no change like the number of Flickes its always 5 and you need to save all 5. The game good for Nostalgic reasons, but for a time to relax, no. Story: 4 The story is that Eggman has kidnapped all the Flickes and has used them to build his machines and Sonic must save them by putting them into the big rings, and that's it for story. The chaos emerald's have no purpose, unless you want a good ending. Its a Sonic story there wouldn't be much. Depth: 3 Well the depth is poor apart from that there 2 special stages in each level via Tails and Knuckles and that's it the game go not depth at all. Difficulty: 3 The game is not that hard, unless your in Volcano Valley and with no fire shield, then you will pull your hair out in rage. The rest of the game is easy. The bosses need no guessing you know when its time to hit them. The controls are hard as using a d-pad to control a 3D game is hard. But if have the Sonic Mega Collection or the Mega Drive Ultimate Collection (Genesis the U.S) then the controls are better as the analog stick make Sonic easier to control. The special stages are very easy. Collect 50 rings, then 100 and then 150. Sometimes I've collect 150 rings before I needed to get 150 rings, it that easy. Sonic 3D is not that great of a game. The classic ones are much better and music is good but avoid the Mega Drive version, the other versions are better overall. Apart from the Saturn, the load time are worst than Sonic 06 but that's the only issue. The PC port is the best so try and get that one if you can. Sonic 3D. Overall: 9 The sonic games were my favorite games growing up with the Mega Drive (Genesis). While I had Sonic Jam on the Saturn which was my sonic favorite game for a long time, until I got Sonic Mega Collection Plus. The game as 13 sonic games to start with and 7 to unlock. Graphics: 10 The graphics are great, If you liked how to old games looked then will love this, they have not change a thing to the games. They still have classic sonic look and Sonic still looks as smooth and tubby has he was in the classic games. Sound: 10 The music is still same, which I think is good. The Chemical Plant zone music it still awesome and still has the great tune. Some sound tracks are still has bad as you remembered like Hill Top zone, I've never like that one. Overall the music is the same as the classic era. Addictiveness: 7 If you loved Sonic like I did, then this is really addictive. With Sonic1, 2 and 3& Kunucles being classics, and I know many people who play these game over and over again, I still do. A lot of it is for nostalgia but still the games are very addictive, and when you have Dr Robotniks' Mean Bean Machine (which is like columns) you can spend hours playing it. Each game as the own story, but this is a collection of 20 games so Here the Sonic games in a nutshell. You need to defeat Dr Robotnik and get the Chaos Emeralds and save the plant and the woodland animals (Flickies) Depth: 7 With 7 games to unlock, including: Blue Spheres game, Knuckles in Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles (annoyingly) and other games like the Ooze and Comix Zone. It will take a while to beat every game and unlock the others which keeps the game being played, or do what I do and unlocked the game the easy way by using the Sega start trick. Lets say you want to unlocked Sonic 3 & Knuckles, what you need to do is Start Sonic 3, when the Sonic 3 title logo is on screen, restart Sonic 3 and do this 20 times and the same with Sonic & Knuckles, and after a while Sonic 3 and Knuckles is now available to play. Difficulty: 5 If you played sonic has a kid, this collection is easy as you know what to expect and what going to happen. But the games that you might have not played can hard and times but most of time the games are easy when you know what to do. The controls are still smooth and responsive like they where and will always work. The game is good for people who want to play there Classic sonic games and much easier than hooking up a Mega Drive to a T.V. With the game being on a PS2 and the Xbox version being playable on the 360, it worth adding to your collection. If you find this at a good price, I would recommended it when you can't play it on online. One problem I did have was no Sonic CD or Sonic R but that was put on the Sonic Gems Collection, Which was nice. The sonic games were my favorite games growing up with the Mega Drive (Genesis). I love Doom it's one the best games I've ever played. Doom was released on many different consoles: SNES, 3DO, Atari Jaguar and many more. Doom was ported to the PlayStation in 1995 and was a big turnaround as the game was much scarier. The music was change to make a creepy look to the game. In 1997 the PlayStation version of the game was ported to the Sega Saturn and was Terrible. Graphics: 4 It's bad. The game looks good but there only 3 forms of lighting bright, dull and dark. The frame rate is poor and in the later levels, it can become very hard to play and if you’re got 12 Hell Knights in front of you, good luck. Alien Trilogy on the Saturn Is the same story. The PlayStation version was ported to the Saturn and all they did was change the lighting and that's it. So why didn't they do that with Doom? Note, Alien Trilogy was released on the PlayStation in spring 1996 and the Saturn in summer of 1996. Doom PlayStation released 1995, the Saturn Port in 1997. Sound: 7 The sound is really good and they did well with putting the music on the Saturn from PlayStation. The guns sound great and when you fire the double barrel shotgun, that clunk click, make you feel powerful. There’s only one thing, there’s only a few soundtracks for the levels, while the PlayStation as a unique song for each level, the Saturn has about 10 tracks. But the soundtracks they picked are some of the scariest music from the PlayStation. Addictiveness: 3 If this is the only port of doom you have got, its easy to pick up and play again. If you have Doom on a different console, no you won't play it again. The main reasons are 2 major flaws; the game as the password system unlike the others with the save system. While yes the PlayStation has the password system but the game is better which can make the password system worth it. The frame rate, that makes the game addictiveness low. Most of time when the game gets so bad, you might rage quit, it can get that bad. Story: 7 The story is pretty good for the time. The U.A.C ( aerospace corporation) has been able to make a portal to mars's two moons, Phobos and Deimos. You are put onto Mars after you assaulted your commanding officer for being ordered to shoot on civilians. The portal goes badly wrong and hell invades. You need to save Earth from an invasion from the evil demons. Doom on other consoles where put into 4 episodes, all with a different story, But the PlayStation and Saturn ones, where all one game. Doom 2 is also on the disc, that story is hell is on earth and you need to save the earth from hell and Kill the Spider Mastermind to save the human race. Doom Guy gets orders to go to his home town where yes hell as taken over and needs to save his home. The ending on the PlayStation and Saturn is you need to kill the Spider Mastermind to save earth, while on the other ports of doom 2, you need to kill the Icon Of Sin. Depth: 4 The game it not has big or in depth as the other ports are. While they have secret levels everywhere, the Saturn has one that I can Find on level 3. But it will take a long time to beat and some levels are hard or have small puzzles to solve. But size is almost 100% from the other ports which is good compared that they watered down everything else. But it still classic Doom, kill this, find the exit. There are still many secrets to be found in the game; hidden guns, ammo, med kits etc. Difficulty: 5 The game is easy at first. The frame rate makes the later levels hard and some levels become unplayable. The controls are prefect and work well, but its the frame rate the puts it down. There one level where you start surround by doors and the part where you need to run to the exit as the platforms your on go down in to the poison and then, your stuck and have to restart the level. Doom didn't do that well on the Saturn, It's the game fault, the Saturn was a hard console to program games for so 3rd party games didn't do that the well. If want to play Doom, Find it on a different system, it will do you a favor. I love Doom it's one the best games I've ever played. Overall: 6.5 Before I start I need to put this out for this game. The Sega Saturn was Love or Hate console and for it being a Sega you would expect a Sonic game but the game Sonic Xtreme was cancelled but one game was made which is infamous. Sonic R has been in the light has one of the worst Sonic game ever made, for people who say that I say to you, have you played Sonic 2006? I'm going off topic what I'm saying is Sonic R is not that bad. Graphics: 9 For Saturn the 3D worlds look really good and the characters look good and the world do look a bit blockly but then again 3D was still new at the time so there was very little to be look at but the animations look good. It can be hard see what is what with some walls like bricks and others like paper but it not ugly by far. Sound: 10 I can see you faces now you think I'm crazy don't you? But I love the music in this game and the songs, I think are really good T.J Davis who sung all the songs has got a beautiful voice when I here the songs I can't help but bob my head to some of them. Yes there are better songs Like the main theme from Sonic Adventure but I love the soundtrack and my favourite one's is Super Sonic Racing (main theme) and Diamond In The Sky (Radiant Emerald) I do like the music, if you don't that's cool that what you think but don't judge on a different opinion. Addictiveness: 5 Growing Up a sonic fan this was the only Sonic racing game I had, has I didn't play sonic drift because 1. I didn't have a Sega Game Gear and 2 I live in Britain and Sonic drift was only released in Japan. The game is boring when you got everything and know where everything is. Story: 1 The story is bad, Sonic Tails are about to go on holiday and there race event and Dr Eggman is in it so sonic enters it as well and he know where the chaos emerald's are so sonic needs to get them all back. Again. That's is really basic but a sonic story in a nutshell. Depth: 7 For time this game was depth. You need to collect 5 coins from all 4 race tracks and then you unlocked all the characters; Metal Sonic in the first track Resort Island, Tails Doll the second race track, Racial City. Egg Robo in Rusty Ruin the 4th and Metal Knuckles in the 5th track Reactive Factory. But you need to finished in top 3 and race them to unlock them, which is hard if don't know the shortcuts. You can collect the 8 chaos emeralds 2 per track and place first in every race you can unlocked Super Sonic with will make the rest of the game boring. There a few mini games like tag and a wired balloon game. Difficulty: 4 If you know all the shortcuts than this game is easy and can be done in one sitting but some of the controls can make it harder but it easy overall. So Sonic R is good but not great and for those who know No I'm not being cursed by the Tails Doll and being forced to do a fairly good review. Before I start I need to put this out for this game. Before I start this review it will be short as this is port of an arcade game and they don't last long. So don't expect a very long one Overall: 6.4 Daytona USA is an arcade racing game released in 1993 to 1994 and then it was ported to the Sega Saturn in 1995 and was released at the same time as the Saturn was Launched in Europe and was bundled with it. With it being an arcade it is short with only 3 tracks and one car with something to unlocked. Its it worth your time or should you give it a miss? Graphics: 7 With the game being nearly 20 years old it still looks good for a first step into 3d. The cars do look like boxes on wheels but for 1995 they do look like cars. With Sega Rally that was release a year later, it was a big leap in the 3D world when compared. There are some areas that look the same but when you look at them you will think and wonder that 1 year separates those games and yes it does. The first track, which is based on Daytona Speedway in America looks like the race course in the game. While the other 2 are just made up. Sound: 9 The soundtrack is amazing, Takenobu Mitsuyoshi's voice goes so well with music and with what I think is the best song on the game, which is Let's Go Away. The songs goes well with the tracks and does get you in the mood for racing and driving like a pro. Or put the game in the Saturn and just play the music. The cars do sound good but the music is better. Addictiveness: 4 This is not very addictive and gets boring very quick, well with 3 tracks there wouldn't be and one car at the start it just gets boring. You can try and be the fastest on all the tracks, but that get boring after a while as well. There is no story. Well if you call being a new driver for team Hornet a story than that's it. Depth: 2 With three tracks and a car or a horse (no I'm not lying) you can unlocked after you come first in all the tracks in normal mode and that's it really there not much to do. Difficulty: 3 The game is so easy. When you know how do go round the corners the right way, the games becomes easy has the first track is. I know this review is not long but this game started has an arcade game and its a port so if expect a lot from the game don't get it. But if you like racing games and find this cheap I would recommend it not the best Daytona game I do prefer the Championship Circuit Edition, more cars and more tracks and the sound track is a bit better and the electric guitar version of Let's Go Away is good and the cars are very different and you drive cars from different teams. Overall: 9 Hey everyone. Today I will be reviewing Alien Trilogy For the Sega Saturn. The game is based on the first 3 Alien movies and is a Doom clone, so how dose it stand out? Is it the same as every other Doom clone? These question will be answered, but first a quick History lesson. When Doom was released in 1993 many game tried to copy the style of the game, and many failed, but not Alien Trilogy. It did rather well is pretty good. Graphics: 7 For a clone of Doom, its very good but you can see Doom in it, 2D sprites in 3D levels. The enemies do look like the aliens in the movies and are creepy looking when the game was first released. The draw distance is poor as you can only see about 6ft so it can be hard to see what is coming and in five levels seeing what's far ahead is important as in 2 levels there bottomless pit and 3 are boss battles. When the bosses come into view, they have spotted you. The Last sector of the game is hard as every thing looks the same and it is the hardest sector with it being so easy to get lost. But it dose look better than the Saturn version of doom and the frame rate is a lot better than Doom's frame rate. For those of you who don't know the Doom frame rate on the Saturn was very poor and when loads of enemies are on screen, it can be unplayable. Alien Trilogy it not the same, the frame rate is really good. Note that Alien Trilogy was released in 1996 and Doom in 1997. When the cut scene and death scene well animated for the Saturn and for 1996. Sound: 8 The sound track is brilliant and is very different, depending on the level. It can be slow and creepy to fast and intense. Although the first two sectors use almost the same tracks there are in a different order (Apart from the first level in the 2 sectors) The guns sound like the guns from the movie's and with the famous Pulse Rifle still sounding like it did from the movie Aliens it dose make you feel very powerful. But the boss level music is the best very fast and very creepy. A good track for a dark, cloudy room full of eggs and the queen. The Title music used to scare me a lot when I was young as I say it is the scariest soundtrack on the game. Addictiveness: 5 The game is not very addictive like Doom. Doom you could play it over and over again but not Alien Trilogy. After you finished it like that's it there nothing to make it better. Yes you can make harder in the options menu but that is it, Doom has the fun, hardcore music and how big the game is, Alien Trilogy doesn't have that replay value. I think its due to the game being done within a few sittings. Story: 7 You play as Ellen Ripley the main charter in the Alien movie's. Wayland Yutani has lost contact with colony on LV426 and you and your team have to investigate and you are the only one to survive so its basically the plot Aliens movie. After you leave LV462 (1st sector) you go to the prison (Sector 2) from Alien 3 which is wired as the Prison was on a different planet in the movie. You go into the Prison, kill the alien queen and come out. Then you go to the Derelict Spaceship from the first movie and blow up the planet. To make it easier it start and end of the aliens the 2nd movie with the 3rd and 1st movie's locations. I know confusing. Depth: 4 There is no depth some of the levels look the same, the levels basic. Don't get me wrong it still good but depth it not one of its strong points. Difficulty: 7 Only when the only weapon you have pistol it becomes hard some enemies take over a minute to kill and the humans take ten to eight shots to die. There 2 levels that have bottomless pits and if your not careful you will die, and sometimes you will backed into a corner and killed in a few seconds. If you find this game cheap I would recommended it but if you have doom I would play that instead. But if you want a good movie based game then this one is okay. Hey everyone. Graphics are an 8/10 only because the graphics are still same and are still great looking and can merge you into the game. The games still remain in the same which I think is a good thing, it keeps the game original. But looking at the games it shows how much games have change over the years from 1995's Arena and seeing what Skyrim looks like it shows how far video games have come. Sound is 10/10 the soundtrack is great and as remain unchanged which I think is a good thing and the amazing soundtrack from Morrowind is still as good as it was back in 2002 and it still makes me want to go on top of a mountain and feel powerful. But the voice acting in Oblivion is still as bad and funny as it always was which always make me laugh when they stood straight and never broke eye contact. Addictivenessss is only a 6/10 as the games dose get very boring and dull after you finished all 5 games as you normally do same thing in the first game. Which is go to the castle get this part of the staff, then go to another castle and get another bit of the staff. So game can get boring after while. Story is 5/10 as the games story remain the same as they where from day 1 so if you want the full story, I would look at the individual game reviews, but here a basic ones. Arena Emperor Uriel Septim VII has been imprisoned in another dimension by the Imperial Battlemage Jagar and you must obtain various artifices from all over Tamriel to bring back the Emperor. Daggerfall you are sent to Daggerfall in High Rock at the request of the Emperor. He wants you to do 2 things. First you must free the ghost of the dead King Lysandus from his shackles. Then the player must discover what happened to a letter from the Emperor to a spy that works for him. Morrowind: The Morrowind government, already weakened in power over questions of authority, is further threatened by the re-awakening of the ancient curse and you need the save the province from the evil god oblivion : The emperor is killed, and you need to give the Amulet Of Kings to his only son that still alive Martin Septim where you need save Tamriel from the Mehrunes Dagon from the oblivion Crisis Skyrim: Your the last of the dargonborn and you must save the world from Aludin. Depth is an 8 all the games are big, very big there a lot to do and many places to find and many side quests you can't run of things to do for a long time. It will take a long time to finished the games 100%. There so much lore within the games as well within the books. I've never seen so much lore in a game that wasn't made by Bethesda. Difficulty is an 8/10 that only has the first 3 can be very hard as sometimes your attacks don't hit what you want and there is no quest markers. But Oblivion and Skyrim are okay but get harder with the dragons as you level up.
