I'm an old gamer. So I have had a lot of really great moments over the years. But I will share the one that is most memorable...

It was 1982. I was 10 years old at the time. My mother would always do the grocery shopping on Fridays. The grocery had a Donkey Kong machine. I remember how exciting it looked. Watching all these kids surrounding the machine that was making wonderful noises. Seeing them cheer, and having fun. We didn't have a lot of money at the time, but my mother always gave me 2 dollars in quarters to spend on the Donkey Kong machine. This was the beginning of a love affair with video games that has lasted my entire life.

Donkey Kong was a difficult game. Maybe not on the first stage. But it absolutely was a quarter eater. All I had was 8 quarters a week to play. So... I had to get better so it would last longer. Before I knew it I was dropping 1 quarter in, and playing the entire time mom was shopping. Giving me the opportunity to go to the store and play it on other days too. I became a master at that game, and top scorer. It was also around this time that I asked for an Atari console. My first console of many to come.

So playing Donkey Kong was the catalyst  that fed my obsession with video games. Making it my most memorable memory in gaming.

Probably the most memorable "creepy" game I have ever played, has to be the first Resident Evil. The entire game oozed creepiness. Even right from the start, it was creepy. With the voice saying "Resident Evil" in the creepiest way possible when you clicked "start". The first "jump out of your skin" moment was when you entered the first side hallway I will NEVER forget!!! The dogs!!! You're just walking along the hallway. Thinking nothing will happen until your reach the next room.... then BOOM!!! Dogs burst through all the windows and proceed in trying to kill you!!!

Opening doors into a room you never been in... hearing the creak of the door as the room loaded up. Walking up onto zombies hunched over a dead body eating it... and it turns its head and sees you as his 2nd helping. Every boss monster in the game getting bigger and creepier as you go through the game. All the times it was "too quiet"... just to surprise you at every turn.

Yes.... I would have to say, In my opinion... Resident Evil is my number one pick as creepiest game ever. Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time playing it.

I'm so glad I found this website! I've been a gamer since I got my first console in 1982. The Atari 2600. Every game I have ever played growing up is here! So, needless to say, I will be spending quite a bit of time here. I'm still new and learning everything about the site.
