I've been playing this for a while now and I really like it.

As for differences between Topaz and Silver... if you've played the original Silver, the differences are completely obvious.

If you haven't:
Silver: Starters are Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile.
Topaz: Starters are Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle.

Silver: Gym Leaders are from Gen 2: Falknerr, Bugsy, Whitney, Morty, Chuck, Jasmine, Pryce, and Claire.
Topaz: Gym Leaders from Gen 1: Brock, Misty, Lt. Surge, Erika, Sabrina, Koga, Blaine, Giovanni.

I haven't gotten too far, so I'm not quite sure what else there is.
You can get them at any city.

I love Gen 1.
I like Gen 2.
I dislike Gen 3.
I hate Gen 4.

1. Nintendo's getting sloppy with their Pokémon, in my opinion.
2. ENOUGH WITH THE LEGENDARIES. They're not legendary if there's 15 of them!!
3. They need to leave the original Generations alone, unless it's Eevee. The Pokémon from Generation 1 that didn't have evolutions were awesome because of just that. They were what they were, but now they have "upgrades".
