"It doesn't seem like he is one of the talking kind at all but I'd hardly want to end up as nothing more then a bubble lifting up into the sky. I say sometimes a fight might be inevitable, and who knows.. perhaps a few tricks here and there.. and he'll open up a bit... more." -------------------- |

Sorry about that! >.<. Been preparing for my trip to Philly and forgot I checked this earlier and never replied. I'll search the beach now as the mention of clues intrigues me, potentially looking for prints that might lead towards a tunnel, or secret entrance might be on the very beach itself. Its not unlikely that Ocean Man could be under the sea, maybe a underwater bridge or something that use to start at the beach or something. -------------------- |

The first title in the Star Fox series that ensured that Fox McCloud would be a household staple for years to come and have him featured in several titles and crossovers like the Smash Bros series. Not only that, it has given fans an ability to want more and now Nintendo is giving them more! This could not have happened without this game. Star Fox was released in 1993 and was made by Nintendo EAD using the Super FX chip to try and simulate 3D through a 2D programming engine. Graphics: 8/10; Firefox did something unique here when it came to graphics, it provided a bunch of different designs and shapes and turned them into a 3D model of a ship, among other enemies. Was it very appealing to look at through every stage? Not really, but it did provide some integral space combat and fluid movement with the controls to let you feel like you are piloting the ship. Space looks like space, and the training mission type area you start at flourishes with the beauty of green and white backgrounds. The bosses are fun to look at, but they are inevitable the same style of fight where you have to shoot the glowing structure. They are still very impressive to look at and take enjoyment in the pleasures that the eyes have given you. Sound: 8/10; The game enjoys a plethora of different musical environments and has one of the best starting themes in video game history. The very first level, puts you right into the game and it is one of the highest points when it comes to Star Fox. If there was something they did right throughout the series it was the music and the way it envelopes you into the game wholeheartedly. Each stage has a different tune that allows you get into the spirit of hunting various enemies through the skies and hoping to not get hit by a random asteroid you didn't see till the last minute! Addictiveness: 8/10; How much more fun can you have when you are flying your own ship, shooting down other geometrical shapes from the skies going pew.. Pew.. Pew! With your squad mates helping you every step of the way! The game is built on you playing it, either beating it or dying, and then a few hours, or days later, going back to it and giving it another try. There is no full-fledged linear path you have to take to get to the last boss, in fact there are multiple loops and areas you can go through to set your sights on Andross at the end. So you can always scale how hard of a game you want to play based on what level you want to do, it also involves a lot of skill to master how to get to each stage. This is where the game shines most in my own opinion, because starting off, not every game is the same and you will find little differences every time you pop it into the system and give it a run. Story: 6/10; The Story is not a big thing in this game, and as such, it is very basic in detail. However, it is more then enough to get the ball rolling into the adventure. Andross fled after being banished from Planet Corneria and now resides in Planet Venom where he has built and gathered an army to try and overthrow Planet Corneria in his own right. Pepper has gotten the first "Airwing" which is the vehicle you pilot and as such, as sent an elite group known as Star Fox to deal with this menace and Fox McCloud has the honor of doing so because he wants to know more about his father which is assumed might have died trying to infiltrate Andross' lair. The story has its own approach to the classic, I'm a bad guy and I'm going to overthrow the entire planet with my ability to make bad guys and turn them on you, and it is fairly descr Depth: 8/10; For a fighter pilot game, this has a lot to offer with little nooks and crannies of goodies in which you have to search for in order to 100% the game. Each stage for the most part has its own boss battle, and its own unique enemy that has a different attack pattern and a different approach to battle.[Though most still have the, please attack here sign that is strapped to their back or other part of body.] Different varying paths keeps the game eventful and fresh to pick up every now and again. It is not a game you pick up for hours on end, but it is a game that you go back to every now and again, and that speaks volumes to the programmers to make this game different from the other games in its genre. Difficulty: 7/10; The game has a steep learning curve when you first start off, so you are going to die, its just a matter of where and when in the game that you die, and once its game-over for good? You have to go through it all over again. Not only do you have to worry about yourself dying, you have to try and keep your team mates in Peppy, Slippy, and Falco alive as long as possible to properly give you aerial support when times are tough. Now to keep them safe, there will be a time when they need your help from an enemy who has locked onto them, it will be your duty to take them out, and kill them. Once you get a firm handle on the control, and needing to keep everyone alive while also trying to avoid every little thing that's flying out at you, then you will start to get a grip onto the game and it won't be as tough. The bosses can be tough the first time they fight, but each one has its own pattern that will allow you to exploit their predictable pattern and give you the best chance at victory. Overall: 8.9; Like I said in the earlier opening message, this was the pivotal game that turned Star Fox and Fox McCloud into the franchise it was today, every now and again developers need to take a leap of fate and just hope a game hits the audience and gives them what they need, and even though sometimes they may miss... it's the ones that succeed that you remember the most and watch flourish into the franchise it is today. Star Fox was the first stepping stone on the way to success, and while other variations of the game like Star Fox 64 made several distinct improvements and fixes to the game, we can all still look back and smile knowing that this... this was the first that created it all. Digimon World 2 comes from a trio in the series of Digimon World games for the PlayStation. The first one was a pinnacle of the breeding, tamogochi style keeping the Digimon happy so that it can digivolve, get stronger and go through several quests in the process. Digimon World 2 decided to throw it all out of the window and gave it a turn based RPG flare which I think was a classic change to the series. This paved the way for classic video games like Dark Cloud and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon by having the dungeon randomly generated and only able to move so much before you have to leave before your Digi-Beetle loses some vital parts. Here is my review of the innovation that is... Digimon World 2. Graphics: 9/10; Digimon World 2 has graphics that will sometimes make your mouth gape wide open and just look in at awe as one of your favorite Anime shows come to life before your very eyes. The dungeons themselves, aren't very detailed, mostly staying flat with just walls of a different tile color to each level but the Digimon themselves is where it shines. The developers go to great lengths to make each Digimon look as it should, fully rendered 3-D graphics when they spot you out of the corner of their eye in the dungeon, how they creep up towards you slowly looking for a battle. And when combat starts its very clear that the PlayStation was put to good use in keeping these graphics solid and cohesive. The different teams all have a unique base-outline and provides an added splash of color to the game. Since this game is all about the Digimon, I think they did just fine with the graphics because the dungeons, are just there to move around till you get to the final boss anyway. Sound: 7/10 Diiiiiiiigimon.... Digital Monsters..... Digimon are the Champions! Everyone that knows of the beloved franchise knows that, that theme song is by far the best song with lyrics in a long time, so where is it?.. Not in the game?!?! I have to give the sound a knock for its lack of the classic soundtrack, and while the music that does play is more.. Digital for a lack of a better word, trying to get you right into the action with loud music, thumping bass, its just not the same. Don't get my wrong, the music is good and the Digimon when they attack, do make a rather adorable sound at times.[Though they don't for a large part if I remember correctly actually say their attack like they would in the anime.] I just know for a fact that they could have done better to give us an enriching experience with the thralls of music as much as they do with the graphics and the overall game play. Addictiveness: 9/10; To help you with the idea of how addictive this game can be, you have three different starting points in which you get three different Digimon starting out.[Similar to how Pokémon does their own starters in a way.] Each place represents a different type of strand that each Digimon falls under. They are: Vaccine, Virus, and Data. Now with that said, you can collect Digimon in the game much similar to any other collecting game that you may know, you have to give them the item they want best or best works with their strand. By doing this, their heart will grow and grow, until it can't grow any further in which case you then enter the battle and knock out the Digimon you want last. Even though you may raise the heart the largest it could, its not always a 100% chance you will get the Digimon thus providing some randomness to the game. On top of that, each Digimon you get, you can Digivolve to make it even stronger. This can be a little tiresome and will cause some grinding because each time you Digivolve, you can only get to a certain level, then need to devolve and work your way up again to progress your level further. This, will cause some unwanted backtracking but overall there are a ton of different possibilities of Digimon. [Devimon, Myotismon, and Etemon please!...] Story: 9/10 The Story is a bit different then most Digimon games yet it still has that certain similarity between them. When you start up the game for the first time, you become responsible on deciding which team you are going to join to help contain the wild Digimon that are breaking out and getting rowdy. By determining if you want to be Vaccine, Data, and Virus you then get to see your very first Digi-Beetle. The Digi-Beetle is your mode of transportation when going through tunnels and has its own movement ability and how much damage it can sustain before it gets destroyed so be careful! After that, you get to go on your very first dungeon run, and its a very easy one to show you the ropes of the game, show you how to fight and move, and do a few battles. You quickly realize however, that not everything... is as it seems and there is something very troubling going on in the Digital World, and something that your tamer training as not taught you how to handle. Depth: 10/10 Many of the Digimon World games shows off its distinct depth and ability to provide you with a large, and lush world for you to play in. This is no different with the plot sending you on a roller coaster of adventure and furthermore, providing you with different options of what Digimon you want to keep, and what ones you want to play with. You won't be disappointed when you start to realize you are spending hours, after hours into the game and still finding out where to go, and how to get there next without your Digibeetle exploding, and figure out what items you need to equip with it to continue on your world of adventure. Difficulty: 8/10 This game you will take damage with your beetle more often then not and have to leave a dungeon several times before you are able to complete it, especially the longer you progress through the game. With that said, I don't think this is a hard game and the reason why this game is such a high ranking in difficulty because there is going to be a lot of needless grinding in order to get a Digimon at a certain level or evolution needed to continue the game. I don't have a problem with the grinding, but some may have this issue and thus it becomes hard for others to stay into the moment, and keep playing so it is difficult for some to keep involved and that is why that is such a high score. The game however, I think is still innovative and fun so don't give up if you get stuck or frustrated at a part. Overall: 9/10 Overall this game is very fun, a unique experience and an adventure I think mainly should give or try to see how far they can get and see if the game is for them. You have different RPG mechanics such as the Digimon themselves, and the Digibeetle and you have a bit of a roguelite game with random generated dungeons that keep you guessing on where to go next. The game is a marvel and an innovation to what the Digimon World and other sequels for Digimon has turned to in their dire need to become a franchise staple alongside the likes of Pokémon, Final Fantasy and so forth. Digimon World 2 paved the way through this RPG innovation and the idea of random dungeons to keep you interested even if you've been through this dungeon three times. I recommend this game to everyone that is a fan of Digimon, to RPGs and of course to those that liked the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon games to give it a try and I hope, that everyone enjoys themselves. As a child, the Super Nintendo also known as the Snes was always fighting for my attention with the Sega Genesis and winning for the most part, and here is one of the games that did just that. Super Mario RPG, Legend of the Seven Stars was different then most Mario Games back in the day, while most were plat formers this one decided to try and branch out to a different genre in the hopes to attract more people to the ever growing loyal Fan base. I was already a fan at the time, playing games like Mario Kart and Super Mario World, but this game... brought my love of RPG to the forefront and gave me a game I will never.... ever... forget. Graphics: 9/10; The SNES was known for putting together good images and a display of strong ram power for the graphics to be different then the NES. This showed the hype of the graphics to the forefront, the characters were shown and you knew which character was what. Mario, the idealistic plumber for example, was what you knew him as, and you could see from the red to the mustache that he looked every bit like him. Could you say the graphics were full rendered 3D-Images? Some may gripe over it, but I think for the power of the SNES, this was as close to 3D as you were going to get. Each character you fought or you controlled was rendered all around, and it was the first time we saw many of our beloved characters in such a vibrant way. If you consider the amount of effort it had to take, showing us new locations and having to bring them to life, I say they did great in this department. Sound: 10/10; I want to paint a picture for everyone, you are in the forest.. Its like a labyrinth in which you have to know the exact way to go but even if you think you do? You end up taking a wrong turn and going to the right, instead of the left! Now with that going on, you are being attacked constantly by enemies and the never-ending notion you are going to have to be stuck here forever.. And in a way... you don't mind. The reason?... Is very clear, the music that plays in that level, and the music that plays through the entire game is an orchestra of good melodies that pulls on your emotion. The music is upbeat, uplifting, providing you hope that you will get out of the forest and fight the boss that pulled you into this travesty of a maze. The sound, and the music plays on your emotion and are critically eclaimed. There is a reason that the song, even through the test of time and other songs by this game are featured on youtube and are parodied to this day. Addictiveness 9/10; Have you ever felt the joy of jumping on Koopas as a kid? Now combine that with the ability to jump on them multiple times in a single combat! Not only are you playing with the plumber with the highest leap for a man! You get other, unique, and playable characters that were just made for this very game! The combat is very RPG orientated with turn base combat, where you get to decide to attack, use an item, escape or use an ability.[Mario gets to Jump, Geno gets to shoot and so forth.] The added joy of having different items that can be equipped and used to save your life, like the Pick me up adds a different dimension to the game. There are a ton of things to do in this game, besides fighting shy guys, Koopas or Hammer Brothers such as Mini Games or even trying to collect coins. The only time you will be disappointed is when you finish the game, but its only temporary before you start a new game and try and beat it again! Story: 10/10; So we've seen the same old tune for three Mario Games right?.. Mario needs to save the Princess from Bowser/King Koopa to restore order to the Mushroom Kingdom.[Except for Mario 2, which we won't get into full detail with.] So, tell me how does this game start off?.. You are going to Bowser's castle, beating up the cronies that are trying to delay you while you are trying to beat up Bowser and rescue Princess Toadstool... So why did I give this a 10/10? Its simple, the game makes it a joke to have this as the very first thing you do, knowing full well its going to swerve you just as you are victorious into defeating Bowser... A Giant Sword comes from the sky and lodges into the castle sending everyone from it. Now, a giant sword is definitely unique and different to the Mario Universe and you quickly realize that a new villain as emerged to take over called the Smithy Gang. This wouldn't be a big problem except the Grand Star has broken into seven distinct pieces and thus, it is your job to get it back but be wary, one of them is in Bowser's castle and the bridge is broken for now. The fact that the developers took a leap of faith and brought in a brand new villain, and a different plot then what we are use to seeing was like a breath of fresh air to the universe. Sure, you are still battling some of the same enemies but once you get to a boss, or a land where there are creatures you haven't seen before, you know you are in for a new experience. Depth: 10/10; Now I mentioned a bit about depth in the story compartment so just let me touch up on this section with a review of the review so I can show you how much there is to do, and how much layers are into this game. You have a game, with a different plot, different characters, all of which had to be molded and put into a 3D-like environment. You have seven different worlds, which has to be fully fleshed out, and require a map and reasoning to go there. We have different bosses, and mini-games in which we can do and special coins in which we need to collect. On top of that, there are different equipment for each type of character, like a hammer, Chain-Chomp and my personal favorite.. I believe a frying pan. Not to mention, at the end of it all, you will be getting a heavy dose of references which you will get right away, or need a second play through to figure out so you are always left with wanting more of this fabulous game. Difficulty: 8/10; I know, usually people don't rate this game very high on the difficulty chart but like most RPGS, if you aren't careful you can die in an instant of good programming, and terrible luck for you. Its essential to have a high dose of Pick Me Ups and get equipment for each character that you plan on using. The puzzles for the most part aren't too difficult, unless you were me as a kid trying to figure out the password to the submarine/underwater level so you can go on to face the boss >.<[Hint: As a kid, I never did figure it out I am afraid.] That is why, I have to give it a moderate to high rating for my own preference because it is unique to Mario, and if you aren't careful, you will die. In closing, this was a tremendous part of my childhood experience and in looking back today, I can say it was the reason why I started my jump into RPG's while also continuing to give my life for the crazy plumber and all his cohorts and villains. I recommend everyone to play it if they haven't yet, and I may just take another dip into the game-pool and go through it again just like the child in me has been for most of my years. Rat Race is a good comedy but it is a little dated due to how long its been around. It was one of the first movie line-ups to have all the best comedians[For the most part.] at the time under one roof. The idea and premise is unique to a certain extent with a Rat Race for the money being offered. It's a little slow at the start, building up to the eventual race but after that, it really picks up. Its definitely worth a look at, and still one of my favorite comedies. -------------------- |

A little shaken up from the bright flash and slowly being awoken from his unconscious state, Wizard Man began to stare at the one that brought them here, eyes burning in a clear. His staff raised ready to attack but was stopped by the words of Wood Man. ".... How about we stop with the parlor game... Why are you here?..... I see we are being the proverbial carrier pigeon for your message?.." Annoyance slight on his voice, staff still raised but no attack was shown... not yet. -------------------- |

The movement of his staff guiding himself to Dr. Light, the robed Robot gave a nod of his head at the direction he was given, a slight tip of his hat was offered to Woodman as well. "Someone has made themselves quite a trick, to get inside the facility... Perhaps is there any leads on who it can be? So we have an idea on who might be playing magic inside there?" -------------------- |

HOT CHOCOLATE!!! .... .... Alright in seriousness, I prefer tea over coffee personally. Coffee to me, is just a bit too strong for my tastes and tea itself is a nice aroma, and a nice, soothing tastes you really want when you just need to relax which I find better for me then the caffeine induced drink that makes me want to go fast, sonic fast. I'm not a big drinker of either, but when I want something to just sip and enjoy my day, tea is definitely where it's at. .... .... Alright in seriousness, I prefer tea over coffee personally. I'm curious as to what was the first game that everyone has ever played, which began the spiral of your journey into the world of gaming? My very first game was for the Super Nintendo, and it was Mario Kart. It was the game that I can remember playing first and getting really involved in it. I use to have a cousin that would come over, and we would just play Mario Kart all day for the Super Nintendo.... I would play as Koopa or Bowser, and she liked to play as Toad. Of course, I think I won most of the bouts[At least that's my story and sticking to it!] I also remember having friends over for So that sums up my first ever game I had played, which led me to play Super Mario World, and even more of the throwbacks games on the Nintendo and into the future I am today with my gaming. Now tell me, what game did you play first and how good of an experience was it? My very first game was for the Super Nintendo, and it was Mario Kart. I didn't get much for Christmas, but then again I didn't ask for anything this year either. What I did get was some clothes, and strangely enough a Onesie... and I have to say, as hilarious as it sounds... The onesie is great! The best part of this Christmas is the gift that I gave to my Girlfriend, I was able to get a hold of a packaged, never opened video game of Fatal Frame for the PlayStation 2. One of the games she has been looking to finish her horror collection. My top 3 are as follows: NUMBER 3!: I figure its safe to put this in the third spot since it was the majority of my younger generation of video game playing and if I still had a working super Nintendo, I would dabble into this game some more. There was nothing better then playing all your favorite Mario Games at the time, and then coming towards this little gem in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. It had everything you wanted in a Mario game, a new plot that didn't just involve Bowser trying to kidnap the princess. You had different characters you could play as[And eventually, play as the Big Koopa King himself!] and the boss battles, were memorable. NUMBER 2!: I might be shot and gutted if I didn't mention this at all during this rundown since it was the first game I ever Pre ordered and knew from the first moment I saw it on E3, I had to get it and.. Even though it was prone to some crashes every now and again, to me.... It never disappointed. That is why I must bring the dragons to Skyrim as my number 2 slot. The first time you saw a dragon in the game, it was remarkable, how life-like it would've been until you were set on fire was something I'll never forget. NUMBER 1!: Another oldie but a goodie, but I have to go back to the classical days of the PlayStation and go back to this little gem. Most though 7 was the best in the franchise[While it was good, I didn't enjoy it as much.] but I was a fan of this one as soon as I popped it into the system. You are greeted with a lovable little kid?, covered in a blue cloak and wearing a very strange witches hat of some sort. From there, you just get lost into the world and become apart of it. It just takes you in, and steam-rolls you with story, after story, after plot twist that have you wondering what else is going to happen! Final Fantasy 9... You will always be my RPG of the year, every year. Not to mention, you can get lost in the card game for hours in it! Honorable Mention: This game was close to breaking the top three but I didn't actually finish it so I couldn't give it a spot but if there was a top four, it is that strong of a game and should be there. Not many people had the chance to play this Japanese gem come to the Americas at the time but I was grateful enough to be bought it back when I was younger. It involved a boy named Ness fighting in a unique, and I do mean unique universe with the help of a fly[But it ain't really a fly] at the start, and sets you on the streets of several towns that make classic references to all sorts of tropes. Just the sheer genius behind the game made it fascinating, even though at times it could be a little easy. I wish I had the chance to finish you as a kid, but you are still in my heart Earthbound. Now this is my kind of area, not that I am usually seeking out Vizzed in any form but recently everything to do with PlayStation games have been lost for me. I use to have a fair bunch of these games, and through the devilish antics of a little brother, its safe to say I do not and I recently downloaded PlayStation Rom my self[By recent, I mean I've had it for a year.] I had an urge to play Digimon World 2 today and when I went to check my computer, all my save files and roms were gone.. Just disappeared. So in following, I would be very grateful if someone could donate some Viz to me, even though I've been trying to save up so I can get the PSN item myself so I didn't have to bother anyone with this. Now, I will still continue to save up gradually regardless of what happens in this forum or this post. My current Viz is: 23,092 so I ain't too far away from it either. Thank you to those that read this post and good luck to everyone in their future gaming! I'm a big RPG fan, always has been and I always enjoyed a throwback to the old RPGstyle days and one of the games I've been wanting to play and have the most was Divinity: Original Sin since its just that. Its story and dialogue heavy, and has a unique battle system where you could pretty much do anything you want, with multiple ways to do each quest. The only issue for me in getting it, is that my computer is far from a gaming computer and I know it won't be able to play the game, or play it well which is why sadly.. Its still just a wish list item. -------------------- |

Payday clearly, the fact that is a get rich quick scheme just makes it all the better. Just imagine if you didn't have to just use it in battle, you could be a millionaire just that easy. Not to mention, only one Pokémon gets to learn it and it happens to be my favorite in Meowth. If we were talking battle tactics though? It has to be Metronome just for the RNG Flavor, it can be any move and sometimes it will work... and sometimes it won't be good but that's half the fun! If we were talking battle tactics though? My very first console I believe was the Super Nintendo or SNES and I had Super Mario World on it, Mario, Legend of the Seven Stars and yes.... I had Earthbound.[The Irony of it being the game I lost when moving still being sad..] The Second console I had was the old Sega Genesis with Sonic 2 and Maximum Carnage which was iconic to me because it came in a red cartridge compared to the standard black and gray. A&W got my vote, one of the best places to just sit back, and have a root beer and they were known for their burgers around where I live. The nice hint of seasoning salt, and just the joy of eating a burger better then one you could get anywhere else around here still makes it my personal favorite to date. A close second would have to be KFC as well, just for their popcorn chicken though. Some days you just have to have nothing but Popcorn chicken and enjoy the day away.
