Thank you. I didn't even realize the alternate emulator came with the download now (don't believe it did back when I used to check up on Vizzed once in a while). Anyway, Mednafen works like a charm for me .

Already tied changing the controls, my keyboard and computer have no problems whatsoever that I know of.

EDIT: a solution has been found, the alternate emulator (Mednafen) works for me. Thank you Crazy Li.

It's been ages (and a laptop) ago since I've played some games on Vizzed. So today I revisited the website and installed the latest version of the RGR plugin.

Here's the problem I'm having:
When trying to change the Joypad configuration, entering a key to represent some button will shortly flash the key I entered, then it 'll disappear. If I want to change the configuration, I have to keep pressing the button and press "Ok" whilst doing that.
On top of that, I can't enter any arrow keys, and the "up" key is unassigned and can't be changed (not even in the way described above).

Obviously, that last part is the largest issue.

Tested this for GBA games.
I'm using Firefox. Tried using Explorer, but that gave the same result.

Is this a problem with the emulator? Is it something I can fix?

In pokemon red, there seems to be a problem with the Javaboy emulator. I don't know if it's the game or the emulator that's messing, or my java :s xD.
EDIT: after trying another game, it's definately either the emulator or my java. I don't recall any trouble with java so far, and I've been using the javaboy emulator for several games, so if anybody could back up my findings...

I've noticed an error in the pokemon emerald version online. When a player beats the elite 4, it (judging from the comments and my own experience) happens that the saved game data gets corrupted, though this apparently isn't always the case.

I personally lost my game data after I beat them a second time. It sais the game data got corrupted or w/e. Though by accident I have noticed that strangly the uncorrupted saved data from before the save after the elite 4 is still intact somewhere. I thought maybe the error would solve itself or somebody would look into it, so I tried starting the game a couple of times over the last couple of days. Today however I accidentally played it whilst not logged in. The emulator told me I had 5 free tries, if I wanted more I should sign up. But by the time I noticed this, an msn cadre had alrdy popped up. Now the emulator sometimes reacts to keys you press in another program, as in this case. When I clicked away the msn cadre, the emulator had loaded my uncorrupted saved data from before the fight with the elite 4.

Summarized: the uncorrupted saved data still exists and is available to players who aren't logged in to vizzedboard.

So I hope this error can be fixed, and the corrupted data might be restored. This would help me as well as several other players who have had this problem (judging from the chatbox and game reviews).
