Ah the guilty pleasure anime. The anime shows you know you shouldn't enjoy, but you do. You keep these secret from people you know who also watch anime as you are kind of embarrassed about liking it. Here, I'd like to talk about some of my personal guilty pleasures in anime and the reasons I enjoy them. I'd also like to find out some of your guys personal guilty pleasure anime and why you watch them. Of course you might not even know why you like them, but you just do and that's cool as well.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai/Oreimo/My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute

Oh boy. Starting out with one of my biggest guilty pleasures. I kinda feel bad about liking this one. I don't like getting to much into spoilers, but simply younger sister who's a model is also into anime, and by into anime I mean she's an otaku. It's a wacky series about her and her brother trying to keep it a secret while getting her to meet more people who like anime/ are otakus. The guilt comes from... well first the title. But second is something that is known about it, but as it's a huge spoiler, I will not be going into detail.

Elfen Lied (16+)

Ummm..... this one is.... this is a hard one to explain.

O.K. So.... basically their are these girls who have powers, these powers are invisible hands that only they and others like them can see. These powers can basically rip people in half. Show is centered around one who hits her head and basically gets two personality. The guilty part and well the 16+ rating comes from the fact that... well this show has lots of blood and lots of... "Fan service". I have personally called out anime for too much fan service, but in this case it doesn't bug me as much.

Naruto

Hey hey hey, pitchforks and torches down... both sides, please. I have reasons.
Now I don't think I need to go over the plot of Naruto... But it is known for people (A) Loving it or (B) Hating it..... not me and this is where the guilt comes from
I do enjoy some parts. Hell I find the show kinda fun to watch... it does have all sorts of problems though, and it's because I can see the problems I kinda feel guilty about it. Not saying it's good and not saying it's bad... just saying I kinda like it but it's not without it's problems.

So what are some of your personal guilty pleasure's in anime?

School Days

This anime for a long time was the worst anime I've ever seen. I'm sure people might know about the "Nice boat" meme that popped up because of stuff that happened. But without getting to spoiler (Watch any review of it online, they'll spoil everything if you want a spoiler review... or if enough people pm to, I'll review it.... for the second time in my life) basically almost all if not all of the cast are horrible people, the plot is the worst thing, and the things that everyone does is... just bad. The ending is kinda satisfying but not worth the watch... As someone who's seen it twice. (Once to just watch it and once to review it) I think I can safely say it's not good, if you value your sanity then avoid it.

Boku No Pico

Please don't watch this one. Even out of curiosity. It's that bad and worse. It is a disgusting show that does so much horrible. The only reason I'm bringing it up is because I want to get as many people to steer away from it. So please Do NOT Watch It!!! Unlike school days I don't want to get into too much detail because it's just that bad/offensive. Keep away at all cost.

Those are my least favorite anime. I have some that I didn't enjoy but they aren't my least favorite.

Least Favourite anime... well there is an easy one for me School Days (DO NOT WATCH)

That may seem like a cheap way out but... really I hate it with every bone in my body... I mean there are some anime that I didn't like for example K-On (please don't hurt me) but I can find at least one good thing in it. School Days is an anime that I can't find anything good with. So ya, I don't like it.

HEY! Us reviewers watch anime's we like despite popular believe... ok I have watched all of School Days before and when I finally get the money to start doing online reviews I'll have to one day watch it again... I'm getting off topic

Anyways nitpicking, this topic will either have you running to the hills, or have you go meh. as a reviewer (I am btw, just REALLY hard to find any of the written reviews I have out there, might have to get around to reprinting those, getting off topic again)I have a lot of experience with nitpicking anime, but, the question is how much should we nitpick.

Really that depends. Everyone has their own likes and dislikes and also some people may just watch anime just for the fun of it, not caring about if it has sooooo many flaws it's not even funny anymore. While other people might be looking for a anime that they find to be good, so they will watch the first 3-4 episodes and nitpick them to the far ends of the Earth, and if they find it to be good with minimum flaws, in there mind, they will pick it up. Of course you also have anime reviews who will look through an entire anime and nitpick parts of it, but also will try to look deeper then a casual watcher so they can get their own opinion and talk about it.

So really how much should you nitpick? Depends on what or how you want to watch an anime. I do sometimes turn off the reviewer part of my brain (quiet it's possible) to just enjoy a anime. For example: SAO. I have nitpicked that before and it does have flaws, but just enjoying it, SAO is one of my favorite anime.

Also one more point with nitpicking, most of the time as a reviewer I try not to nitpick the very small stuff unless it's really bugging me.
