The purpose of this is to 1. choose your fave pokemon and 2. explain why! I think I would probably be a charmander then train myself this is because charmander is kind of cute but rather powerfull at the same time.

The best would have to be heart gold even though I've only played it in Japanese so far, the elite four and champion are slightly harder than on the original games so it's more fun and enjoyable to play. I've already got a copy in english reserved in GAME. You should all get it

The only moves that don't have any use or meaning are protect, detect or anything like that, this is because, though it stops the opponent from hitting you it just makes the battle longer, therefore being a useless waste of PP. THE END

I would pick cyndaquil as it is the best one to pick. this is because later in the game you will need a powerfull fire type and though not being to powerfull at the beginning of the game, it eventually pays to train it.

I know this because I have played on the Japanese version my mate has.

The first pokemon game I ever played on was pokemon Blue Version. I remember choosing charmander and losing to gary. I restarted it and chose the squirtle. I won. It took me something like 74-78 hours to complete it.

I would say that, unless you have decent TM's abra is the weakest. It only knows teleport and you have to train it using another pokemon for hours to get it to level 15 and it then becomes decent. This is why you should catch all different pokemon to get an EXP share to train weak pokemon much much faster.
