Okay, seriously.  I have posted 10 times, I have waited seven days...  I've been a full-on member for about a week.  I have tried my roommate's laptop, I've tried my laptop, I've tried the Internet at my apartment and at the local coffee shop.  Netplay has only worked for me once, on Super Mario 3, with a trusted member "boomer(something)".  Every time I try to get on Netplay, the screen is just a gray square.  My brother donated $25 to the site in good faith so that he could get the Netplay app to play games online with me since we live in different states.  He and I have been becoming increasingly frustrated with this issue, and with, what seems to be, (with all due respect), a failure to either communicate, or to take serious action to resolve this issue.  Is anyone else having this problem?  Does anyone else feel like you just keep getting the run-around, or useless tips, or no real action?  Does anyone know what to do about this issue?  Please, for the love of all that's good in the world, someone help me before I lose faith in this site completely.

Great review!  Although I'm going to say 4.5/5 because the white text in the bright parts of the image was extremely hard to read, and a strain on my already strained eyes.  My two cents?  Mario Kart 64 is amazing, and I have nostalgia-gasms every time I hear that music or see the screenshots.  That being said, until I revisited the game as an adult, I was absolutely terrible at the game.  As a kid, I was always in dead last due to repeatedly and consistently falling off of the side somewhere or going through the grass from a too-sharp-to-turn curve.  But as an adult, I finally am pretty good at the game, and I can fully appreciate it.  Although I need to further hone my skills before I start competing...

I loved this review, and I completely agree on all accounts.  I loved that even the animations and the music seemed much darker in this game than in Ocarina of Time...  It seemed so much more intense, and urgent.  And I also never totally understood how to save until I had the game for a pretty long time already.  But I loved the game nonetheless.  Turning into whatever the mask was...  That part was sweeeeeet. 5/5

I'd have to say the game I play most often is Morrowind...  And then maybe Bubble Bobble.  And Pinball!  And Portal...  But probably Morrowind .

It is absolutely an epidemic, it is absolutely one of the sources of our economic drag, and I have a couple ideas on some things that may or may not help.  Who knows?  But we can dream.  First of all, it's 2013.  Our President is a half-black man named Barack Hussein Obama, elected 10 years after 9/11, with questionable affiliations and radical colleagues.  If you aren't mentally or physically INCAPABLE of holding a job, there is no reason, in the USA year 2013, that you should not be able to hold at least some position at some job somewhere.  That being said, there are people who genuinely need help, and those people should receive assistance.  But in large part, the perpetuation of our poverty cycle starts at home.  When parents are either non-existent or apathetic towards the success and education of their children, the children grow up to not care about their successes either.  This is shown in failing schools across America where one or two parents show up to the PTA meetings and the 2nd grade children are constantly fighting and saying things I didn't even know how to say as a child.  Perhaps we should narrow down the spectrum of who should be given assistance to an extreme gradient, and use the trillions of dollars per year we would likely save investing in those lower-economic-class communities, raising property value, building private industry to create jobs, incentivizing robust capitalism and risk-taking, and more personal pride and responsibility.  Maybe a good place to start would be if politicians would sit down and have a conversation with the hurting class in America instead of pitting us all against each other.

Yes, I think more states are going to legalize it.  Yes, I think it is okay for people to use it recreationally and medicinally.  Constitutionally, I do not think the government should be able to tell you what you can and cannot put in your own body, much less a naturally-occurring, wildly-growing plant found all over the world.  It is simply not fair.  It's like parents part 2.  Aside from my political beliefs, I believe weed is pretty much harmless to most people, and in any event it is considerably less harmful than not only alcohol and cigarettes, but the majority of legal pharmaceutical medicines, both over and behind the counter.  It is nobody's choice but your own what to put in your body, as long as you don't hurt someone in the process, search for, or effects of that substance.

I would say:

Christianity is not about traditions, or about blind allegiance to a doctrine...  It is about accepting the love and acceptance of God, who loves you so much that He gave His own Son to unthinkable persecution and crucifixion as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind.  To make us acceptable.  Christ will forgive you no matter what it is that you've done in your life, if you truly want Him as your Savior.  Mankind might not accept you for what you've done.  They might not even accept you for becoming a follower of Christ.  Christ even warns about your old friends turning away because of your decision to follow Him.  But none of that matters to you when you know that, no matter how guilty you might feel about your past, or how lost you might feel, how broken you might be, how alone you might be, Christ is there, and He loves you, and He doesn't want you to feel down.  He wants you to be with Him in eternity.  He wants you to know that He will be there, and He will save you from the blackness of the world that we live in.  It's not about being afraid of His wrath, or feeling guilty about your sins.  It's about knowing that Christ already died for your sins.  He already brought salvation to mankind.  He loved you in the womb.  All you need to do is accept His sacrifice.  He will save you from your darkness.  Just give Him a chance.  Forget the rest, and read the red words in the Bible.  They will lead you to the Truth.

I'm not going to bring up religious issues, but I want to preface my post by saying that I am, indeed, Christian.  But to my point, I believe gay "marriage" should be legalized for a very simple reason:  It's none of my business.  I don't personally consider it "marriage", but it doesn't affect me in any way, it doesn't change the Bible or Christianity, and it's not my place to tell two people what they can or can't call themselves, nor is it the government's problem.  I believe that all men are created equal, and even if I think it's kind of gross to see two dudes holding hands or kissing (sorry), I have gay friends, I don't get mad when gay dudes pay me a compliment (it's flattering), and I think they should have the same rights and benefits as I do.  I am a conservative libertarian, and the idea that gay people are withheld certain legal privileges because of the federal government is, to me, bull****.  I say let all American citizens do what they want as long as they aren't hurting anyone, and to the people who have something to say about how gay people are going to ruin their children, they should probably stop devoting their entire lives to making their children hate gay people and it won't be such a damn problem.  I am a right-wing, conservative Christian, and I say just give it to the gay people already.  Who cares?  What difference does it make?  The government SHOULD NOT be able to stop us from "hurting" ourselves.

Here's what I believe (and let me preface that by saying that Einstein believed in God, although not a theistic one, but a creator and an organizing force behind the Universe).  I believe that God created everything, and that Christ is my Savior.  What I also believe is that the Big Bang may have been his way of Creating the Universe.  The Big Bang theory does not start with absolute nothingness, it does not explain the very beginning.  I also believe that the "Seven Days" in the Bible was literally seven days, and that evolution could very well have been the method through which life was brought to its potential.  Essentially (and I mean no offense by this) if you don't believe in some sort of God or afterlife, or some sort of driving force behind the Universe, you basically believe there is no meaning to existence...  And whether or not that is true (and I believe it is not true), that is a depressing, bitter reality to come to terms with.  Even Sartre, Kierkegaard, and the fathers of atheism and existentialism in general recognized that, if we abandon the belief in God, we still have to believe in His laws, because without an eternal set of laws, man could be completely justified in doing whatever it is that he wants.  Because at that point, there is nothing but man's judgment stopping him from doing whatever he pleases.  No eternal consequences, no feeling of shame due to an unflinching standard...  Just the thoughts and words and laws of man.  I'm not saying, as many atheists like to believe, that if you don't believe in God or Jesus you're going to go around raping and killing people.  What I'm saying is that if it weren't for the initial belief in God and the establishment of His laws, mankind would have no way to say, "This is right no matter what your law is, this is wrong no matter what your law is."

Has anyone noticed that, no matter what, being a newbie is just terrible?  At first, I thought hey, I have been playing games for free and there are so many games that I grew up on and so many I have never heard of.  It's ridiculous.  And it is still awesome.  And free.  Did I mention that?  Either way, my brother got the Netplay app and we were so excited, we sat down and got on the phone (he's in OK and I'm in TX) and got all of our "party supplies" ready for our all-night gaming session...  Only to be disappointed at the fact that, since I haven't posted 10 times, I can't play a single game with my brother on Netplay.  Just a gray screen.  So what am I to do?  I guess I'm going to find another 9 things to post about, and try to enlighten you all with whatever it is I might have to offer.

But I have to say, despite the fact that I really have no right to offer criticism given that this website is just amazing, but this Newbie stuff is just bush league.  Here  I am, instead of playing awesome games online with my brother, writing posts, wishing I could play games.  It's like homework.  I don't know if anyone out there thinks I just sound snide or condescending.  If you do, I apologize, and that is not my intention.  I also realize that you don't just want anyone having all of the benefits of this awesome site.  But I mean, come on.  I just want to play games!  Anyway, I appreciate the staff, the admins, the mods, and the rules, and I will continue my quest to make this work.

I really hope this post is long enough, because the last post I made was like 300+ words and I didn't get any Viz...  I can't find any word-count regulations, so that is a pretty vague rubric for what I get points for, and what is recognized or not...  I wish someone would just throw me a bone, here.  Anyway...  If someone out there has any advice or any tips or helpful information, please don't hesitate to throw it my way.

How's it going, everyone?  I'm Llama'sNeckTie, and I just recently discovered this site.  I feel as though I should have followed my moniker by saying, "and I'm a vizzed-aholic".  Seriously, this website is the greatest thing I've ever found on the Internet, and God bless the person who created it and the people who run it.  Really, though, have you had a chance to speak with any of the staff or admins?  They're great.  Let me correct that, it's an understatement.  They are absolutely wonderful, and a complete change of pace from the typically unpleasant (another understatement...) atmosphere of dealing with people both on the Internet and in real life.  I have just been a member for a few days and already, I cannot stress enough how awesome my few interactions with the staff here have been, they are very helpful and friendly, and actual human beings instead of the robots you normally find buzzing about the world, incapable and unwilling to lend a helping hand.  I will certainly be doing whatever I can to patronize this website as much as possible.

Two thumbs way, way up, Vizzed.  This is amazing.

About me?  I love video games.  I grew up with video games and I'll hopefully grow old with them.  I love this website.  I have been searching for every game I can think of and my mind has been blown repeatedly upon finding out that, yes, they actually have Bible Adventures for the NES haha.  Seriously.  I don't know a whole lot, but if you need something, I'd be happy to at least try to assist you.  I'm sure I'll pick things up pretty quickly, and will be more equipped to actually help out, but until then, I look forward to getting to know you all, and having further interactions with the surprisingly-friendly staff.

Pleasant regards,
Llama'sNeckTie

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
