My sister only told me about 20 minutes ago. As soon as I poked my head online, news of his suicide went EVERYWHERE! It's amazing to see how beloved Robin Williams was, and upsetting he committed suicide. I heard he was going to do a Mrs. Doubtfire 2 movie, which normally I'd be apprehensive of, but if Robin Williams was involved, I figured it wouldn't suffer too poorly from sequelitis.

Part of me wants to go back a marathon through all his best movies now.

Happy birthday tRIUNE! I know we don't exactly know each other on a personable level, but I notice a lot of the hard work you put in for us here at vizzed (can't imagine how much more you do). Thanks for all the hard work, and hope today is a great day for you!

I feel like I've had to change all my passwords multiple times already, and wondering if there's a point by now. Feels like every time I change passwords on everything, another leak is revealed! Wonder if it's just going to not matter if they already got my information.

Irritated about that nondisclosure agreement too; I get that the companies are worried about being attacked by worried people... but those people HAVE a right to be worried! They have a right to know what happened to their personal info, even if it means revealing their companies' vulnerability! IT'S THEIR FAULT!

Forgive my repeating if any, please, as I skimmed the replies (just throwing in my two cents).

I believe marijuana should be 100% legalized for medical use, no questions.

Marijuana for recreational I would be fine with if it is regulated just the same as alcohol and cigarettes.

In a way, marijuana is the combination of alcohol and cigarettes; the former alters your state of mind, and the latter pollutes your lungs while relaxing you (from my understanding of why people smoke, anyway). Therefore, why not treat marijuana like the two? Put an age limitation on it (probably 21, due to its mind-altering properties), and make driving under the influence of marijuana just as bad as driving under the influence of alcohol. All the police would need is a test (which exists, as parole officers have such tests for drug criminals). Any other alcohol related crimes (public drunkenness for example) can be tacked onto the smoking of marijuana.

I'm not too strongly for the legalization of weed for recreational use, but I don't see it as big of an issue as many are making it out to be.

I've been playing the game for awhile now, but recently (within the last week), I have been unable to play the game.

Originally, I got an error message : Error: Failed to download server file version info

After a quick search, I found other people suffered from this error in the past, and followed some steps to try and resolve it. These included reinstalling the vizzed plug in (the one I had already downloaded previously), restarting my computer, deleting my ROMs (but not saves) of the game in the downloads and roms folder. That's when I got the new error:

Error: Failed to download game ROM file.

I did another search, but there wasn't any new help to be given to me. Some say an antivirus could be blocking me, but that would only make sense if ALL games had this problems. (It is ONLY this game)

Later I found a notebook document "VerifiedDownloadedZips" I tried deleting Rocket Science from that list in efforts to get another download to work but that did nothing.

Some help would be appreciated. I'm using firefox, and it has been working fine since I first arrived at Vizzed.

Afraid I cannot take credit about the advice of writing 8 hours a day. At best, I may have said write a little more if you enjoy it, but I cannot remember whether I said that to you or not.

Still, I'm glad you found something you seem to enjoy! It really IS a great feeling when you get writing projects done, even if the process can be exhausting. I've been writing a lot more lately myself, and although while I'm writing I can get stressed out, the feeling of once you are done is just amazing!

The revision process can be tedious at times. Even worse, after submitting the writing, you take a final look through and OH GOSH! There is a typo on page 8! Yes, it makes sense, but it looks so off! :X

Starting to believe 'won't kill' should be a given, heh

I would not:
-kill or harm myself or others, both person or animal, which does include infecting one with a disease (Plants and insects are a different story)
-embarrass someone else for the money (unless they are in on it too and agree to it)
-do anything that has to do with bugs for the most part (There may be very few circumstances where I might, but have to be something I'm comfortable with)
-emotionally hurt a stranger or someone I care about (including pets)
-eat a type of meat that I find disgusting (weak stomach, physically incapable)
-do anything that has a fair chance of doing anything I've listed.
-do anything that has to deal with me being out in the ocean (personal fear)

Hmm, think that covers it quite broadly. Oddly enough, I'd be willing to do some illegal things depending what they are and the punishment is for them. As long as I am able to enjoy the money without having serious regrets, I think I'd be fine.

It depends to what end the cloning of the animal will be done.

If used for food, I would only be okay with it IF they labeled meat that was made with cloned animals. Just like the GMOs, consumers have a right to know what's been done to goods they may purchase.

My biggest concern may be if people start cloning, say, their dead or dying pets. It... really begins to cross the line there as it begs the question of if it really is the same pet anymore... Also, it creeps me out.

Mind, science has not come far enough for this level of cloning, but I think if it will benefit us more, then it's okay. Just not to go crazy with it, or past animals; human cloning is a huge can of worms!

Eirinn :

I so agree with you on the Like abuse. Personally, I think  Like or Dislike should both be equal in terms of using them. I've noticed some users, if they even get one dislike on their post, a flood of friends just pop in and like it up! That or only able to like or dislike one particular user once a day in addition to the current mechanics...

I agree a change should be made in general, thing, but your way unfortunately is a bit too much work for staff to handle. Basically asking for Karma Police.

Surprisingly enough, Internet Explorer was not the worst browser I experienced... Sort of.

Back in late 90s/early 2000, we had a family computer with two choices of browser: Internet Explorer and Netscape. Internet Explorer sucked a LOT while Netscape was our savior! For awhile anyway.

I was looking around and noticed that Internet Explorer has an update like... two builds ahead of the one we were using. We did not get automatic updates then, or if we did, my parents ignored them, I assume. I updated Internet Explorer and then suddenly, it became the best dang browser ever for us! Netscape, meanwhile, was lagging behind, so I looked for an update for it. Nope, no updates available. Well, screw you Netscape, we were an IE family!

I remember hearing about firefox back then (maybe a year or two later) but because it sounded like a virus to me, I didn't touch it. Also, the computer eventually just died because my parents and sister totally downloaded things willy nilly and didn't know how to take care of a computer. (Meanwhile, they were blaming me cause I couldn't possibly know what I'm doing with a computer since I was the youngest). We later each got a computer for ourselves. Guess who's computer lasted the longest?

I decided to use Firefox on my new computer and have used it since. Internet Explorer had way too many pop ups, then (and I assume, now). I disabled IE on my computers (you can't really get rid of it, but minimize it popping up on you), never tried Chrome, but I have no interest in it, and Parents have Safari on their Mac which... I just find frustrating. I'd call Opera pretty lame also, only because the original Wii used it as a browser, and it crashed a lot. Might have been cause it was on the Wii though.

Overall, Netscape was the worst, but they aren't really around anymore. IE technically was worse at ONE POINT, but they managed to evolve into something better while Netscape kind of just died in a fire.

Dragon Quest 4 for the Nintendo DS. I have replayed that game a bunch of times in different challenge modes, and I'm sure I could continuously play it forming different sorts of challenges to help me stay sane.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf for the 3DS. It's an open-ended game that never ends, has Internet connection so I can interact with people, and even have a bunch of artificial animals to chat with. Though, considering I have it on the 3DS brings up the question if I can use the other apps on the system, or if it only lets me use things pertaining to the game (friend codes, the online adapter thing, stuff like that).

My last game depends if I can have this: An "In The Groove" machine with the ability to upload new step files on it at any time I want (would require Internet access to sites). Would be great to keep self exercised and burn off some energy if I begin to rage at a game or something.

The ITG machine does seem to be asking a bit too much out of such a simple question though. So I'd probably go with whatever the latest Tetris is with online capabilities, since that game can go on forever and always poses a challenge.

I've had some bad teachers over the year, both in public school times and even college!

Ins first grade, I had a teacher who just did not like boys or tomboyish girls. She did not state this outright, she just made it evident when controlling her class. The girly girls that had pretty hair would be treated like princesses, barely punished when they did something wrong ("Now go think about what you done!"), while the guys or tomboyish girls would receive harsher punishments (usually chewed out in front of everyone).

There was one incident that still pisses me off to this day. We had a coat rack in the room that couldn't fit everyone's stuff very well, so coats and book bags would often spill out or fall to the floor. My parents were concerned because my new coat was getting stepped on and really dirty so they spoke to the teacher, who said she'd handle it.

She accomplished this by in the middle of a lesson, demanding to know who was stepping on my coat. There really wasn't any one person's fault in this, everyone ended up stepping on each others' stuff at some point, either by accident or apathy to other people's stuff. I had a hard time speaking with her, because I wasn't used to being put on the spot, but managed to say, "Well... everyone..." She then went around asking everyone if they did, which of course, said no. The teacher then said, "See? They said they didn't, so who did?" I think I meekly said "everyone" again, but she dismissed it and insisted that I must have been the one who stepped on my own coat. I kept denying it but she said it was the only logical explanation, which I ended up giving in. She made a call to my parents, saying I confessed to it.

Later, my dad asked me what happened, and I told him everything, how she wouldn't believe me and that everyone just happens to step on each others coat, so there was no one person. He believed me, as did mom when he told her. They ended up getting me a new coat, which I just felt bad about.

This was a teacher I couldn't argue with really, as I had not quite found my voice yet. I don't recall getting into a HUGE argument with a teacher, as I didn't like confrontation, but I did have a minor rant on one in high school. She had used the phrase, "You can't have your cake and eat it too!" on me about something, and I just flipped out. "THEN WHY HAVE THE DAMN CAKE?!"

I didn't get in trouble for that, nor was the teacher a bad one, but I just find that phrase asinine.

There are other awful teachers I've had but none as memorable as the one above. That one I believe cause me some anger issues.

I been watching this for awhile now. My friend told me about it quite some time ago now, and I been loving it! The best moments have been when Legends of the Hidden Temple comes on and everyone is cheering for different teams! To a lesser extent, guts invokes a similar feeling, but Legends having a lower success rate gets more people pumped it seems.

Also love criticizing some of the worse shows on there along with people, or poor plot lines of old episodes, haha! Amazing to find things you didn't understand when you were younger!

To a lesser extent, guts invokes a similar feeling, but Legends having a lower success rate gets more people pumped it seems.

Also love criticizing some of the worse shows on there along with people, or poor plot lines of old episodes, haha! Amazing to find things you didn't understand when you were younger!

I use to do Yoga every day to keep myself flexible due to my work being physically intensive. This was done on WiiFit, funny enough, but it provided enough stretches for me to loosen up. Unfortunately. That 30 minutes of doing poses just felt like it kept eating up my time, and I so I stopped.

However, while I am at work, I do some stretches before starting, in which I incorporate a few Yoga poses to get a good full body stretch. Overall, I do believe it has helped prevent some injuries for me! Still, I partly wish that I could get back into a set rhythm of thirty minutes a day of Yoga again. Not only did it limber me up, but there was a part of me that felt really good doing it.

Steal my money, and you are gone. If I can not trust you, it is no longer a friendship.

I might give second chances to closer friends depending what they stole and how much. Money, I'd call them out on it and basically say they got to earn my trust back or it's goodbye forever. They don't want to put up with the effort? Nice knowing you, thief.

Funny enough, steal a french fry, and I'll get pissed and refused to eat with you anymore (germaphobic, and most of my friends are slobs).

Since you are talking of Melee, I'd remove wave-dashing. It was a bug that was meant to be removed, just found really late in development.

Without it, I could actually enjoy playing melee with my friends again; though I'm not sure how happy they would be.

I was surprised at the ending of How I Met Your Mother, but not really disappointed.

They had it planned since season 2 that Ted would end up with Robin, and the whole show kept giving hints of it. They even foreshadowed the mother's death a few times (though, mostly in the last season) which I found impressive.

I do not believe Ted harbored feelings for Robin when he found Tracy, but when she died, he just felt lonely. He waited 6 years before thinking about asking Robin out again, and not before asking his kids (admittedly, in a VERY roundabout way).

As for how Robin and Ted are together, they were at different points in their lives when they were together. Robin was still trying to be happy with her career, Ted wanted kids, marriage, lovey dovey stuff. Robin couldn't put up with that while finding career happiness. As we find out later, Robin has her dream job, seems to not be traveling all the time, and judging on the many dogs she has once again, is looking for love. Ted HAD his happy marriage, kids, lot of lovey dovey stuff, but after tragedy struck, he felt lonely again.

This sort of thing can be relatable to real life, such as when a divorced/widowed people find each other. For widow(er)s, they may always love their late spouse, but they can still feel a desire for companionship. For all we know, Ted and Robin may have become a couple once more simply for that. There are old feelings, yes, but they still were always friends.

Admittedly, I was hoping that Robin and Barney would work out, and in that regard I was disappointed, but I did enjoy the whole journey throughout the show. The characters were all interesting, the plots were hilarious, and I can't say I regret watching the show since it provided me with a lot of laughs. I can understand feeling disappointed about the ending, but to say you feel the show wasted your time?

Did you laugh?
Were there more episodes you liked than disliked?

I suppose I should not be surprised though, as I recall many people hating on Lost after its ending as well (though it also garnered hate from taking too long) while I enjoyed the show as a whole still.

I'll leave this message with probably one of my favorite scenes of the series that had me busting a gut every time I see it. Mind, the clip cuts out the best part, but sets it up well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Ytqb6sE

Funny thing is, I really liked Suarez in the past. I thought his play in the last world cup where he hand-balled the ball deliberately inside the goal area was a brilliant gambit that paid off. I honestly thought he was essentially just sacrificing himself for the good of the team (which, again it worked!). Sure people hated that he did it, but it's not like he 'got away with it' as he was punished via the red card.

Then I started watching games he was in. Racist comments? Maybe it was a misunderstanding...
Didn't shake hands with the guy whom he made racist comments to? I watched a slow mo video that showed the guy pulling away when Suarez offered it, so Suarez moved on.
Then he was constantly getting in trouble which sounded like he had anger issues. I followed him on facebook, and it felt like every few weeks, I heard he was apologizing for something. It got annoying so I stopped following him, and figured... well I can like him as a player and not a person, right?

Biting though? Seriously? It's getting hard to think much of you, Suarez. And to think I was going to spend a lot of money on an official jersey of yours!

Allow us to delete our own screenshots in Retro Game Room. I can understand not wanting to allow it for already submitted screenshots, but allowing it for  the unsubmitted screenshots would be great.

I'm doing a documented nuzlocke run of a pokemon game in the retro game room, and taken a LOT of screenshots. The screenshot window uploader thing now lags terribly trying to load all those screenshots at once, even on my fast computer. Being able to delete old ones would be a godsend! I usually upload the ones I use to photobucket to ease strain of vizzed, so there is no reason for me to hold onto the older ones.

If not possible, a secondary request would be to separate the screenshots in the uploader by pages to ease up on load time. 10 or 20 screenshots per page would be nice (or even making it adjustable how much loads per page)!

I'm very picky, but would love to play in a Mario Party or Tiny Toons Wacky sports (snes or genesis, both are fun) tournament.

I do have a question, however... I never played on netplay, despite my access. Are computer controllers supported on net play (like, as long as I have it set up on my end), or is it key board only?
