Apology: I am now stuck in renfair mode, those who know me know what that means.


Huzzah! Rejoice one and all, for I come bearing great news, or at least it seems in my own opinion. I have at last had the opportunity to visit the Garden of Pan in Long Beach. It was a most spectacular sight. The paintings on the wall and the decor really add to the ambiance of the place, as my cousin Pockets can back my word on this. While I have only tried two of their smoothies, they were delicious and I want to go back and taste more. Great little place for any pagan or fantasy lover or anyone who wants to try a new atmosphere.

The college I attend (same as Elara and Pockets) has a pagan club. They are holding a mayday fair on the fourth. Elara, my boyfriend and I will be readers there and there will also be dancing and music and all sorts of stuff on campus. Seems like it's going to be a lot of fun. Does anyone know of other places that hold tings like this open to the public?

Well, so far it looks like Beltane shall be celebrated with a trip to Ren Fair... we so need to get in on a May Pole dance!

From what I have read/seen, Druids and Wiccans follow the same calender as far as sabbats are concerned, with the season changes being the lesser 4 of the 8 on the Wheel. Beltane (along with Imbolc, Lughnasdah, and Samhain) are the major 4. Double check with your info to make sure, but I'm pretty sure about this.

AH! My book! I wondered where that went. But yes.

Also, wanted to mention this cute little book we carry at the bookstore where I work that is good to teach children the beginings of herbalism.

The books is called My Nana's Remedies. It's such a cute book, bilingual at that. It's from the point of view of a little girl and she talk about how in different situations he granmother uses different herbs and such to cure diferent things. Then at the end there is a small index about basic herbs. I actually want to get that book.

Very hard for me to say what my favorite animal is, but the closest thing would have to be tigers. There is just something about them that always grabs my attention, especially white tigers. Absolutly breath taking.

*WhiteRose sleeps in a little later than expected, but not enough to keep the entire group waiting. Anybody here work with herbs? Either using them as incense, teas, making oils or anthing along the lines of that. Aside from teas at home, really haven't had a chance to work on them, though I would love to. Great book for herb magic is one my Scott Cunningham called "The Complete Book of Incense, Oils & Brews". It's a really good book with all sorts of recepies for all sorts of occasion you can think of.

Same goes for me, the more I get to know an animal, the stronger the connection gets. I kinda have weka connections with most animals and trees, but I have to work on them to make is stronger, usually by talking to the creature/plant. Then there is the little ghost girl in my house who I still need to find out who she is.

I've always been intrigued by Buddhism. Probably because in many respects it's much like Druidry. However, I was not aware of the classifications. I'm not quite sure what you mean by that. Can you explain that a little better and give some examples? Please?

I Remember when I found the first one. I sent it to Elara. We both found it hilarious.

I thought it would be kinda of cool to kinda put together spells that we would like to chair with the rest of us. Sort of like an online books of shadows so to speak. About the only limits here is I don't want any negative spells or love spells. To clarify on the love spells, I mean spells to force a specific person to "fall in love" with you. Just very unatural to me. Aside from that, most are welcome. I'm still looking around for one to post up.

*Sighs* Sadly I join you ladies in my limit. Because of that, I generally completly forget the days and they pass without me realizing it, except for having prophetic dreams usually. I really need to keep an eye on the days. Maybe we can plan like an online celebreation or something.
