Honestly I don't really care if the graphics are good or not. I stand by my opinion that graphics DO NOT make the game. I mean come on, just look at the lego people in FF7, heralded as possibly the greatest game of all time.

On top of that I honestly think Squenix has been going a little crazy with the art design. Everything you see is so overly detailed, which I admit some people may like, but it's really not for me. I like well thought out simpler designs rather than poorly thought complex ones. I really couldn't care less if an airship in the back round has 400 finely detailed plates that make up the hull.

Give me the good old days when Final Fantasy was about good storytelling, not how pretty it looks.

That certainly is interesting... But I honestly think it takes some of the fun out of the game. I for one actually enjoyed chopping moblins apart for enough rupees to buy that next item.
