Hi there, and welcome to the forums. You have a pretty good taste in games! I used to play Team Fortress 2 myself... I'm glad you're enjoying yourself so far and lovin' the community.

Since you're a Nintendo gamer, what's your favorite series so far in the Nintendo franchise? (you can include third-party titles)

Hmmm... Where to begin... I've got an archetype list of students throughout my years of education.

Middle School was rumor spreaders. If one kid ended up seeing something and interpreting it the wrong way, you better believe the next kid would know about it in under an hour. I've had acquaintances that would literally tell me a personal incident involving another student that they ended up in fights the next day.

High school was the drama queens. The ones that must outwardly and exasperatedly voice their disagreements... in the middle of class. This not only costed time in some of my important classes, but I was stuck with the same amount of people in all my math classes throughout my four years that I ended up with Cs. Not necessarily because of not studying for tests--oh how I wish that were the case. But because I could never squeeze a question in class without sudden interruptions because of their outbursts. (By the by, the teacher rarely punished for this, so that only encouraged them to continue.)

Nowadays, I just have to worry about people that "work" loudly. Rather, I can hear music coming from their computers a whole lot, and that's fairly distracting in a work lab. Most of that is caught right away, but it still occasionally happens. There's also the matter of what I said above about drama queens, but the main difference is that there's response from the teachers so I hardly need to worry over that. Ahem, then there's the partners you are assigned that don't show up the follow days to discuss about your presentations, but I won't go further into that.

PacmanandMariofan and Yunimori:

Ah, thank you both so much! Yes, the times certainly have changed (especially considering I haven't been on since '13). With new emulators, topics on the forums and a slightly different layout to boot. Enough that I almost can't keep track of 'em all... haha.

I wonder what else has changed...?

Not sure if anyone remembers me, considering I joined up quite a while ago and only contributed to a few forum posts. But I'm hoping I can be a bit more active this time around. Maybe even make some new friends, seeing as I hardly talked the last time.

As a fair summary...

Over-ear headphones: Comfortable for under an hour's worth of use. Anything over that can easily result in headaches, some severe depending the volume of music for a duration of time. Then again, I guess the comfort of these things also depend on how their made.(Seeing as some headphones' material is as hard as heck when putting over your ear.) It's harder to break though, depending on the brand, so that's a plus.

Earbuds: Very small, usually affordable, all the more easier to break. They are still rather comfortable enough and slip easily into your ear. Sometimes, depending on the form, it slips out just as easily as it does in.Twisting around the middle and bottom part of the cord can be an issue too. This usually leads to the sound-coming-out-of-one-side issue.

In-ear headphones: Can vary on comfort. Also pretty affordable Sometimes they fit perfectly, sometimes not, I find the rubber tipped ones do quite nicely, and sometimes come with extra pairs of different sizes you can swap out. Like earbuds, they suffer the same problem of falling out AND being just as susceptible to damage.

Unfortunately... I haven't been to church as of late so I can't say the answer surely enough. ^^;;

However, as a child, my Baptist church never did mention much on terms of sexuality as far as I know.

I go to Catholic school however, so what is taught is that homosexuality isn't quite right. Homosexuality doesn't really start as a child (which I find is true because as child you tend to do things you don't even perceive of today). It's not genetically done either because studies haven't really proven that yet either, which is also true at the moment. It can also develop due to personal instances such as rape, or what they're not or today's society with a person's actions being considered effeminate for a man or masculine for a woman to make a person THINK they're homosexual. At the time of a teenager is when a person REALLY struggles to find what defines them, and think that their sexuality does it. And really, sexuality doesn't. At the time, teens have blossoming feelings that cannot be fully understood till reaching adulthood.

What I'm about to say is how I see things.

I do believe that homosexuality should be accepted in any circumstance because as long as they love the other (rather than infatuate), treat that person with kindness and integrity of another, I do think they're living God's way. I do however sorta disagree with people admitting to being gay at a young age because they may be not fully understanding what is sexuality and WON'T quite realize who or what they're attracted to until older. Sometimes, it could be the case admiration of that other person (which IS infatuation), but you don't know at the time because attraction (of any type) is rather blind. It's especially blind as a teenager because you're still developing.

I'm a tad bit surprised some people haven't experienced this before. But then again... it may depend on the teacher or class that you're in. It doesn't have to be so much as receive punishment because everyone else did something, it's sometimes ONE person or a few people to get everyone punished.

It's not the best method of punishment for two reasons.

One, everyone not involved would later hate that particular teacher/class/school.
Two, it can breed hatred toward the person or party responsible. (Let's face it, no one wishes to tell the faculty because of fear of being a tattler, or "sticking up for your friends".)

Ahh... the topic of morality. It's actually a topic I can speak of all day. A person's morals IS based off of how they learn from others as well as their perspective of the world.

I honestly can't agree with today's society and it's influence on others today. And really the lessons all begin at home before one goes to school. Religion can have some basis on it, which can effect on how they act, but I think it's really starting with the parents of the person. The young instinctively listens to one that is older. There IS the case where the child breaks the cycle, but that can be ultimately by how that person is influenced outside the home.

Quite honestly, today's society can be so... self-absorbed that the young eventually learn that and... continues that cycle. I may actually add that today's youth aren't quite as they used to be. (I shouldn't be saying this at 18, it makes me feel so dang old... XD)

For instance, I was rather hungry and wanted to go to McDonald's. I decided to go inside rather than wait in the long line of people in the drive-through. Not knowing there'd be someone else to go in right after me, I only opened the door wide enough to let myself in when all of the sudden, a girl younger than me (not by much though, maybe a couple of years) just moved in front of me from out of nowhere with the most bland use of a "thank you" I've ever heard. If I knew she WAS behind me, I would have politely held the door open. However, just cutting in front of someone RIGHT as they were walking in is very rude. The "thank you" wasn't in the least genuine either, so that really made it a lot worse.

Normally, I wouldn't sweat the small stuff, but... I just find it rather disgusting. And all the times I've held the door open for someone, they made that genuine thank you. But... that's for people of my age group and older, from personal experience.

Meh.

Drugs are drugs.

To be honest, anything can be too much for a person. I don't completely support drugs because of my natural disgust for the smell of those things. And trust me, some can REALLY smell after a smoke, so you can tell rather a person's been doing anything like that or not.
Alcohol also is considered a drug in cases where it can change a person's judgement and it's still legal, same for cigarettes.

Stuff that was once prescription sometimes also become public after a while, but drug stores have limitations on them. I suppose alcohol and cigarettes/cigars too. (Correct me if I'm wrong.)

I'm completely neutral on the matter. I wouldn't know about something I'm never gonna try unless it's prescription and I absolutely need it.

If it was legalized, I'd laugh at how high the prices and taxes will be. And dare I say it'll be... stupid high? They'll pretty much be at the same height as cigarettes after a while. Maybe that'll keep some people away from that stuff for good like it's changed some smokers.

The only thing that I'm afraid it won't stop however is the possible chance of someone selling it to children (or teens for that matter), or people who develop an addiction to these things because of how bad their life is. Then again, it's already happening now for the stuff that's already legal out there... But I'm afraid that's another case for another time...

I suppose it depends on what type of relationship you have with the person in the first place. Otherwise, it's not really weird at all. I'd say it'd be somewhat odd if you didn't associate a little out of your age group every once in a while. As long as there isn't any trouble because of that association, then there should not be much to worry over it.

I have friends of many ages, shapes and sizes and still talk with them all the same.

Ooooh. So the way this all works is VCS being on one month and then Tour de Vizzed being on the month AFTER that...

Well, I better see the differences between the two. I actually want to make some type of effort for my first try with these. I know they're both about posting, so a bit of that counts.

Ooo... Nice choices everyone. I'll add each respectfully to the list. Although it's much preferred if you suggest games that I can have easier access to, mostly games I can find here. But I'll still give 'em a try in the future when I have the money for them.

Thus far from here:

===========
Games/Game series haven't played:
Final Fantasy
Fire Emblem (Fire Emblem 7 [GBA], Path of Radiance [GC])
Bionic Joe (Nes)
Command Conquer (N64)
===========

Games/Game series have played/in process of playing:
Super Mario Bros. 2
Chrono Trigger

Ok! That's the kind of reply I was looking for, really. Delving a little bit more into what brought about the doubts in the first place.

Now we're actually getting somewhere!~

I think the answer lies into figuring out what you're asking/looking for. That's usually how to start research about anything.

Once you get that down, the next thing is figuring out where to search. It's one thing to go to church and so on to find religious answers, but it's another to have an openness or tolerance for it.

From what I've seen, most people have usually been in your position because of the same reason. Being cynical and being skeptical are two different things. And I think you're just a bit skeptical.

So, what rests is that you finding a starting ground again. Every question can have an answer, sometimes multiple ones. All questions are meant to be asked, so don't be so doubtful that they shouldn't be asked, every human conscious deserves to ask and answer questions and ponder about them. Don't dwell upon them, ok?~

I'd say guilty. For one thing, a neighborhood watchman isn't supposed to be armed in the first place, nor should they shoot. They are to alert the neighbors as well as the police. That is all. A racial thing or not, that shouldn't have happened, and is a shame that a person would do that. Especially seeing as the young teen wasn't armed with anything. Just a bag of skittles.

It may have very well have been for a good deed. Unfortunately, the person has not been fully aware of the consequences that follow having a gun in the first place. Honestly, that why I'd say you need to read the rules on these things. If he's aware of the "stand your ground" rule, he should know this.

So, I'll post with the best me I can.

Well, thing is... And this is why debates like this tend to be inconclusive with results is that all this is dependent on the person's mind and what they perceive as evidence and truth.

Reason why I'm Christian is that I have the mind that wants to learn more of the divine entity. I want to learn more about what it means to be "enlightened". I've been dragged to church and such when I was a child, but yes, no one told me I had to believe it. I want to believe it myself, so I'm currently on the journey of figuring out what I believe it takes to be truly "enlightened" as a way of also being happy. Am I happy at the moment? Yeah, I'd like to say I am. My mind is open to anything so I have the mindset to believe things in the Bible but also listen to what others have to say and have the notion to give judgement based on my ideals that have been developed based on what I know/perceive to be right or wrong.

Conclusion? You only believe based on how the mind goes. So what would be evidence to some will not be evidence to all.

You said you were ONCE Christian, so that means you ONCE had the process of mind to believe the Bible as evidence. Since you're no longer Christian, you don't believe it anymore, as you said. So what do you consider to be evidence or concrete proof?

In some cases, the matters may not BE concrete, which I think is another point as to why these debates also don't go very far.

Would it be possible that I can join? It's a little late (ok, VERY late) and all, I know, but it's worth a try in participation. ^^;

I don't expect to win, but, it's all the fun of it, right? Especially if everyone else is doing it and all...

So, gotcha, no spammy posts and so on... by that you mean under 60/70 words?

Even if I'm not allowed in, I'd still be on the lookout for who's winning and rooting for everyone.~

Hello there, it's very nice to meet you.~ As everyone said, welcome to Vizzed as well as the Vizzed board. You needn't to worry about being a great Vizzed person, you're very well on your way. If you have any questions feel free to ask anyone around, they're very nice and responsive here.

Tell us a little about yourself. Any games you like? Or maybe some activities you like to do?
