Hello, bloodyclaws here again, and I'm going to review the third version of the generation 2's gold & silver: POKEMON CRYSTAL! Like most third versions like yellow, emerald, and platinum, it is almost the same as the first 2, but with modified graphics maybe sound, or the may add a new legendary. But let's get down to business Graphics 10 What opening is better than the graphics of this game? Hands up? No? See? Nothing can top the beauty of suicune's silhouette, But not just Suicune was there, but the unown. The colours were smartly placed depending on the mood and climate. Sound: Overall good, a bit unoriginal, and a little bit choppy. Addictiveness: More than I expected: 16 badges, elite four, crime stopping 6 or 7 rival battles, elite four, rematches, and the ultimate trainer red. I'm listing Trainers you have to defeat. It's remake was good too! 16 badges, elite four and rematch 16 gym rematches, 7 rival battles, rematches with other trainers, and red. 10/10, hands-down. Story: The suicune and Ho-oh story was good, but if it weren't for team rocket's lack of appearances, than I'd give it a ten. Depth; Gotta catch em all. That's all I have to say. Difficulty: Actually, I thought they didn't put as much effort for the kanto gyms, and elite four surprisingly easy to defeat, going no more than level 50. Hey, Bloodyclaws here again, and I'm going to review this game. Let's start off with Graphics. 9. How many of us like NES? I sure do. But compared to genesis, NES is a small small world. Genesis was one of the best consoles when it comes to graphics. Just look at sonic. Look at the shine and shade. That's how great it is. It also has a bit of 3D effect on it. Very great. But the Genesis has competition. SNES. What do you think is better, I won't force you to a certain side. But overall, the graphics are great, they even put some effort on the background! Sound. 10. A very nostalgic stack of music. We all know green hill zone, but how many of you remember sonic the hedgehog two boss music? Pretty original, wouldn't you agree. Not a lot of lag to mess up the game, so overall, the sound is great. Addictiveness. 7. You'll lose many times. Trust me. You only have 3 rings between each turns. You want to beat all 18 bosses. You want to find out what all the bosses are. I do to. Even though I beat the game. So in addictiveness, I give 7. Not too many reasons huh? That's why I chose 7. Depth: 8 Not a big game, but it will take a while. Not that long, about half an hour, depending on how good you are. I don't know how many of you beat it, but it was hard, wasn't it? Well, make it all worthwhile. Difficulty: 9. All of them are basically uncontrollably hard. You will rage. Even though if you beat the game, you'll see expectations are strict. 20 minutes is a C for you. More than 35 minutes, probably an E. The hardest are labyrinth boss, Casino night and the last. You have to go through lots of frustration I tell you. Overall 8.8 I have not much to say to you, but I hope it's enough info for you to have a good impression of this game. Play the game! Have fun! But for now, Goodbye! Graphics. 9. How many of us like NES? I sure do. But compared to genesis, NES is a small small world. Genesis was one of the best consoles when it comes to graphics. Hello, Bloodyclaws here. I would like to make a review for this game pokemon emerald. First I'd like to start off with graphics. Graphics were really beautiful, and the pokemon sprites looked very similar to the official drawings. The graphics are unmatched to most other pokemon games on the GBA. Sound. 7. The sound was generally great, but could get a little bit repetitive. But that is all I would like to say. Addictiveness. 9. Listen, you may be saying POKEMON SUCKS. But when you play, it's a good experience, regardless of being a kid playing black and white, or a 20 year old that used to play Pokemon red and blue. First: you have to fill out the story. Generally simple, but as the story goes by, you can catch many legendary and non-Hoenn Pokemon. Then, when you are done, GOTTA CATCH EM ALL! I beat the elite four with Sceptile, Swellow, Azumarill, Aggron, Metang, and Rayquaza. It was pretty hard, but if you don't want to catch em all, there is always the confusing battle frontier. Story 10. The story was really great! I love the idea of having to face two enemies. Magma and Aqua, but they end of causing apocalyptic disaster, and send in a superior pokemon to fix it. Really great gyms: Roxanne with Geodude and Nosepass, Brawly with Meditite Makuhita and Machop, Wattson with Voltorb, Electrike, Manectric, and Magneton, Flannery with Slugma, Numel, Torkoal and Camerupt, Norman with Vigoroth, Spinda, Linoone and Slaking, Winona with Swablu, Pelipper, Altaria, Skarmory, and Tropius, Tate and Liza with Solrock, Lunatone, Xatu, Claydol and Slowpoke, and Juan with Luvdisc, Sealeo, Kingdra, Whiscash, and Crawdaunt. Many great combinations. BUT the elite four had Sidney with Shiftry, Cacturne, Crawdaunt, Mightyena, and Absol. Pheobe had 2 Dusclops and Bannetes, and Sableye, Glacia had 2 Glalies and Sealeos and Walrein, Drake had Shelgon, Altaria, Kingdra, Flygon, and Salamence. And Wallace with Whiscash, Milotic, Gyarados, Ludicolo (lol) Wailord and Tentacruel. But Steven from Ruby and Sapphire was much better with Claydol, Skarmory, Aggron, Armaldo, Cradily, and the pseudo legendary metagross! It was all great. I'm serious. Depth. 9. It was a game with a large variety of pokemon, towns, items, and routes. About 30 routes. The game expands from bustling cities like Slateport, to the quiet town where you come from: Littleroot. From the always storming desert where you can raise Baltoys, Sandshrews and Trapinches, to the iciest paths with Spheals and rare snorunts, there are quaint forests with wurmples, rustling grass with oddish, Dark caves with Zubats and Sableyes, Dewford beach with makuhita, and the Lavaridge volcano with slugma and numel. A lot to explore huh? DON'T FORGET THE BATTLE FRONTIER. I'm impressed. There is even safari zones with foreign pokemon from Johto like Girafarig, Natu, Mareep, Wobbuffet, and Heracross. There are many eggs to hatch, 2 evil organizations to topple, and 2 rivals: Brendan/May and Wally. Wally had Ralts, but now in the end with Gardevoir Delcatty and Altaria. Difficulty. 7. I had to admit, it was quite hard. If you weren't prepared for the first battle with May, well, that's the end of you! Catching Rayquaza was hard with no master ball, as expected for most legendary pokemon, battles with your opponent having full restores was purely annoying, especially against flannery for me, as I had Grovyle at the time. But having Treecko was most unfortunate because Wingull was also flying type, like if you chose Bulbasaur for fire red, and Blue had a Gyarados that was flying, were kind of in the same situation as THAT. Then you would have ANOTHER opponent you are weak to if you're with Treecko. TROPIUS. It's a flying banana tree fused with a dinosaur! Who thought of that! I like it personally, but the it was ridiculous and priceless. Mudkip choosers too. Tropius is your second problem other than Grovyle. Just like Torchic choosers, your rival not only has marshtomp, but also Ludicolo. I underestimated it. It's absolute ridiculous appearance caught me off guard, it also doesn't know water gun. Yes. The most basic water move of all time. She might stop trying to battle you before even Level forty, but the elite four was a complete money consumer. STOCK UP ON FULL REVIVES, STOCK UP ON FULL RESTORES, STOCK UP ON ELIXIRS, STOCK UP ON STEROIDS! That's what you'd need. Forget about the steroids. Overall 9.1. There may be upsides and downsides to this game, but the most important thing is have fun. Don't be afraid to take risks with this game. MAKE A CASCOON, SILCOON, MAGIKARP, FEEBAS, GO AGAINST A SALAMENCE! Do what you WANT. I would highly recommend this game to all gamers out there, from playing pokemon Fire red to the spin- off gamers like pinball and snap. PLAY IT. Goodbye, I'll see you in my next post. Sound. 7. The sound was generally great, but could get a little bit repetitive. But that is all I would like to say. Addictiveness. 9. Listen, you may be saying POKEMON SUCKS. YO! I'm Bloodyclaws ! I want to become a video game maker. But first, someone needs to teach me to make a hacked pokemon game. Yes, I like pokemon. I have about 200 new ideas about them. I planned a new region called Tevohna. With 9. 9 gyms. That's a bit more than normal of 8. Starters are a squirrel called Terrodent -Treeruil-Leafmunk. You should know the type. An armadillo called Lavadillo-Magburrow-Burndonaut, and a hippopotamus called Hippond-Rivotamus-Brutide. The generic bird is Aerojay-Robiswift-Machrobin. The common electric type is a porcupine called zaphog-Voltpine-Electropine. Ghost is Polteriject-Furniterror-Hauntiture. Normal is Foxound-Screechox. Poison is Acigator or Mambcid. Ice is Frozefur ( Rabbit) Fighting is Nunterux, rock Oredon, Dark, Werevulf, Steel Bladitel ( OP Hybrid of Darmanitan, Bastiodon, Garchomp) Dragon Drammer, Psychic Psydna Bug, Herrini ( Pre-evolved Heracross) Ground, Ardig. Returning Pokemon include Geodude, Onix, Zubat, Magikarp, Feebas, Larvesta, Pawniard, Abra, Gastly, Scyther, Heracross, Pinsir, Lucario, and Aerodactyl. So you see I like pokemon. Other things I like are Mine craft, Roblox, Sonic, Elder scrolls, Angry birds, MMORPG games but I'm not a nerd, food that goes good with Dr. Pepper, swimming, Roller coasters, chocolate, cotton candy, the beach, "Creepy pastas" (Try Lost silver or Lavender town syndrome SERIOUSLY!). My pet peeve is global warming and screamers. If you don't know what a screamer is, watch Ghost caught on tape. I like anime like Dragonball/ Dragonball Z even though TO MY OPINION wasn't as great after cell, Dragonball GT wasn't canon because Akira Toriyama didn't make that, so there's no manga, Pokemon, and One piece. I don't watch fillers like Warship island, Post Alabasta, Goat island, Rainbow mist, and Spa island. Watch one piece I'm serious. I think Vizzed is a great website, but it would be great if they had Sega CD and Saturn on the website. So that's a bit about myself. GOODBYE I"LL BE POSTING MORE FORUMS -------------------- |
