When I was a kid I used to play this Turn-Based Strategy. I don't remember what it was called. I just know I loved it. I still am a kid (13) but this game was a faint memory. I have long sense sold my Genesis/PS1 in order to buy other games/consoles.

When I did some research I realized this was that game. FINALLY, I can play it.

The graphics are great, but the sound effects are more of iffy. Especially since the battle cinematic music makes me want to take my headset off. Still this is classic game at it's best.

Taking a Turn-Based Strategy game and adding in RPG elements is a perfect fit, one that's been accomplished by many other games such as Final Fantasy Tactics. Still this game stands out to me because I remember so much. The compelling plot kept me hooked, the gameplay was very challenging, and is very challenging right from the start. You're expected to know what you're doing, or download a pdf manual. It's really quite simple and if you've played a game of the genre you'll catch on very quick.

My one big gripe about this game is that it suffers from the problem of 'hero dies you loose'. I get really annoyed by this. Since this is a strategy title, the game is about you're team winning, not one character.

If you like strategy games, or liked this game and wonder if it's worth it to play on vizzed, go play it. Chances are you'll enjoy every minute (unless you're loosing of course )

lol, was it really that good. Usually I get in deft with 4 categories (presentation, audio/video, gameplay, replay value) and make a page long review which takes an hour, and than make a video review too!

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, is without a doubt one of the best Zelda games, and, really games in general out there. Even if you compare this game to modern day titles you won't find a game that is as masterful as this. While it does have some issues, these issues can be easily overlooked when you take the positive things into consideration.

From a graphics standpoint, this game is OK. Textures can be a bit iffy but the character models are really nice. One big issue I have about this game though, is the fact that it has so much areas in the game where the backgrounds are merely 2D images plastered on the wall. This can be a very irritating thing, but everything else looks good, even if it doesn't have all that HD stuff.

The sound in this game is perfect. Sure some sounds are repeated 1 too many times, but they aren't bad sounds. Plus the music will blow you away. And fans of the game will be humming along to their favorite tunes. Even newcomers will be humming along to favorites once they know them in fact...

The story is surprisingly not just the tale of Link saving the princess, it's a bit more in deft than that. Which makes it a story you'll keep playing over and over again. The deft this game has to offer is what you'd expect from Zelda, and that's pretty darn good. The puzzles will challenge you for a long time, and you'll spend awhile figuring out what the best way to kill each enemy is, because most enemies can't be killed via button mashing.

And difficulty? Oh yeah. You're going to wonder what to do and how to get stuff at the first level. This game is tough to start and only gets tougher. Now if you happen to be fortunate enough to grab a N64 controller, than the control scheme is going to be perfect for you, because the original control scheme was just that way. If you have a controller with 2 face buttons, 3 triggers, and two analog sticks (PlayStation 2-3/Xbox 360 controller will work) than you will be able to use a nice control scheme as well. Just think about how you set this up when you do it. One analog stick should be the 'C' buttons, two face buttons should be A and B, Triggers for the Z and R keys, and the left stick for the arrow keys/analog stick. It's a pretty handy control scheme that will make you feel like you can do whatever is possible and aren't restricted by anything. Using the keyboard won't help you though, and keyboard controls are probably tough to handle.

This game does what all games should do, it delivers a fresh experience that only gets better as you progress, and when you fail, you only feel like you failed because of you, not because the game cheated on you.

If you have the hardware requirements and a good enough controller, you owe it to yourself to get this game.
