Recently someone asked how to break and ISO into multiple parts (Like the ones found on the PS1 page here are Get-Your-Rom.com) So I've decided to post a short how-to guide so that anyone who wants can share their favorite ISO's.

Ok for this you will need two things:
1. An ISO (OR any format Image file)
2.WinRAR installed onto your computer

Step 1: Right Click the Image File (ISO) and select "Add to Archive" A new Window should appear. This window is know as the "Archive name and parameters" window.

Step 2: At of top of this window, under the "General" tab there is a name for the Archive. Enter the name here or leave it as-is (It defaults to the file name +.rar)

Step 3: Under the "General" Tab in the bottom left of the window there is a "Split to volumes, bytes" parameter box.
This is where you enter the desired file size. You can choose from the preset ones or type your own. (You can simply type 50mb for 50 megabytes)

Step 4: Select "OK" WinRaR will now split the file into X many parts each of the size you requested.

Thats all, it's that simple.

Note: This can be done using the Trial Version of winRAR. So there is no need to buy anything to split a large file into smaller ones.

You can rip any PS1 or PS@ file into an ISO. However not all ISO ripping software can do so because some of the discs are copy protected and some of the programs (mainly the free ones) don't let you rip a copy protected CD. (This is to keep themselves out of costly legal battles)

For PS1 games this isn't much of an issue anymore and most generic ISO software can rip a 100% copy of a PS1 game.
PS2 games are usually on some kind of DVD disk and can be much harder to rip.

However there are software developers who have already won these battles and let you rip any CD to an Exact ISO. The most popular and one you have probably heard of is Nero. However Nero can be expensive (Assuming you buy it and don't download a cracked trial version off bittorrent or ares something noone here would ever do )

Another great one is Alchol 120%. This is great ISO making software and has preconfigured settings for both PS1 and PS2 disks, making ripping them very, very easy. (Agian this is not free) But if you are interested there is a full 30 day trial version available from their website.

In the past I have used this(Alchol 120%) to rip my own PS1 and PS2 games for back-up/emulation reason and it never failed.

There are many programs that can do what alchol does so just google it, but I recomend checking out Nero, Alchol, or even Clone-CD.

It sounds to me to be a problem with your emulator and/or system. What emulator are you using? I've found that pSX Emulator works fine with both FFVII and FFVIII. Try downloading the newest version (1.13) at the link below.

If it still doesn't work with then I think the problem might be your system. What are the specs of your PC? It could be a problem with your video card. Try making sure you have the newest drivers and also update Direct X (Helps sometimes)

As I suspected it an ECM file, not an EMU file. You could have saved me the download and just answered my question the first time

Anyway. ECM is another type of compression for CD images.

It can be bit annoying to use but eventually you will get it. I had to rename the file to get it to work(file name seems to require no spaces) After you un-ecm it youll have a working image.

As for Disc 3 Part 3. It still isnt working. I hope someone can re-upload it soon!

What game is it? Can you please copy and paste the full file name. Are you sure its an ".emu" and not an ".ecm" ?

I was able to download everything except Disc 3 Part 3. This one is still saying "File not Found" the rest are OK

I click them and nothing happens, then after a while it loads a page the says file not found. Some of them dont do anything but disc 3 part 3 says "File not Found" when I click "Download" at the bottom of the page
