I don't see the point in gender segregation in education, it's like sheltering them from something that's natural (being around the opposite gender), though it could be noted that same-sex schools do have a high homosexuality level with curious teens (in my opinion). -------------------- |

Queen; Freddie Mercury. I grew up with a few Queen songs, but it wasn't until 2006 (aged 15) when I discovered Queen TWICE and the second time was when I knew about them - Previously I heard Bohemian Rhapsody whilst going home from school but didn't know what the song was, then I accidentally heard it again and it went from there.
I can go on and on about Queen, and Freddie Mercury, but I'll leave that for another time I can go on and on about Queen, and Freddie Mercury, but I'll leave that for another time -------------------- |

You can't measure the past for the current times, just look at Liverpool F.C. and Brazil as prime examples! It took how many years for Real Madrid to win the Champions League? It's taken how many SERIOUS attempts by Liverpool to win the Premier League? (Last season though, that was just heartache); It took how many games before a team exposed Brazil for the pile of crap they are? But for the sake of the thread; Current times would say Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Manchester City are the best teams in the world; but then we have to look at other leagues and countries - there is no true way to prove who's the best, not even the World Club Cup can prove that as one match isn't as good as a league season. And for banter; Real Madrid were only successful because no other team could afford the big players. They've got skillful players in every position but that doesn't make them the best. I'd say, much to my hearts content, that Manchester United are the best team in history - at least recent history - given what they've achieved, and Sir Alex Ferguson in general. Liverpool F.C. - Born and bred a Kopite, though I don't go to the matches because it's too expensive D:
Other than Liverpool FC; Salford City will be a team I'm gonna follow from next season, as I want to see what the old-guard of Manchester United can do with the club! Another team I follow is Guernsey F.C. - They're a Channel Island team that play in English leagues (a few leagues below the Football League) and have LIVE text/tweet commentary for every match; Their fans are great, their players enjoy themselves, and they didn't complain when they had to play around 26 matches in 42 days due to a fixture pile-up because of Winter AND their wonderful cup run that nearly took them to Wembley! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21799015 -Guernsey F.C.'s fixture pile-up I also semi-support Walton Hall Park F.C., mainly because I play for them >.> Well, I'm their reserve goalkeeper, served for four years, and despite being partially blind (lazy left eye) I'm still in the team and used as a last-sub forward during friendlies or when we're winning by a considerable margin; or one time I was the only sub on the bench, we only had 12 players turn up, including the manager, and the player/manager broke his arm after a few minutes... I hit the post in the last few minutes of the match, it was very sad times ;-; Other than Liverpool FC; Salford City will be a team I'm gonna follow from next season, as I want to see what the old-guard of Manchester United can do with the club! I'm not surprised that Germany won the final, they looked like they deserved it throughout the competition, but Messi getting the Golden Boot really angered me because he didn't deserve it - He was shut down more often than a Windows Vista computer (no hate to Vista, I actually like it).
Overall the tournament was exciting until we hit the quarter-finals, which were a borefest for most of the matches; The Semi-Final was all about Brazil 1-7 Germany, that's it. Brazil got destroyed more times than a fox in the depths of FA (Vizzed to those who get the bad joke). The Final was rather boring too, only Goatze's goal was the highlight in my opinion and I'm glad that he scored too - I didn't want to see the final won on penalties, it's a sad way to end an amazing tournament with a roulette of shots. Most of the group stage matches were sublime, opening up with a Brazilian own-goal just for Brazil to, undeservingly, win the match. Netherlands v Spain was the biggest match of the group stages, in terms of shock, and the Spanish collapse wasn't expected - Even my non-football friend, who I was playing pool with at the time, understood what the result meant and applauded every goal for the skill - even the shot against the bar! Having seen some of the biggest teams collapse at the first hurdle, especially England, proves that anything can happen; England were woeful, Rooney has proven (again) why he shouldn't be picked for England, even Gerrard wasn't up to his high standard (this coming from a Liverpool fan). Italy had bitten the dust, didn't show why they're a big team anymore - they're past it. Portugal, with their Ronaldo, proved why they're just a weaker version of Argentina and will never amount to any great success if they rely on Ronaldo alone. Surprise packages were plentiful; Costa Rica, USA, Switzerland, Mexico, Colombia mainly. I would of loved to see Costa Rica get into the semi's, but they got out of "the group of death; Italy, Uruguay, England" is just an achievement on its own and anything after that is a big bonus. USA and Tim Howard, and the rest of the squad, have shown why America needs to take football seriously - They've got the players to go far, who knows what they could do in 2018 Switzerland provided some great grit and determination, just imagine if they got to the Quarter-Finals over Argentina? Mexico and Colombia, they've got higher expectations for the next World Cup. In all; The 2014 FIFA World Cup has been amazing to watch, one of the most memorable World Cups since 1994, even with some controversies like Suarez and diving (not together, but it's likely too Brazil brought the World Cup to it's spiritual home, even though they got humiliated at the end of it, the fans, players, staff, everyone need to be proud of themselves for showing the talent and showcasing a wonder few weeks - They've got the Olympics in two years time, high expectations to say the least! Sleipnir Browser. I'm gonna be trying different browsers out during the summer to see what the competition is like outside of the big four - Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Google Chrome - and see what could be the possible breakthrough browsers for the coming year.
That and I'm bored of Google Chrome That and I'm bored of Google Chrome -------------------- |

All the hate for Internet Explore and all because of v7, v8 and maybe v9 - Nobody wants to give it a second-chance with v10 and v11, and, from experience of using v10 for a year, I've found no major problems with it; It's more secure, it does what you want it to do, and it's simple to use.
Now saying that, I'm currently using Google Chrome because it's faster for things I WANT to do, and when I load up Internet Explorer it does feel clunky and slow (It can be fast when it's loaded up). I've used a variety of browsers in my time; Internet Explorer, SlimBrowser, Netscape, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, MSN Explorer; and not once have I fully hated a browser, maybe disliked but that's about it. I feel that Google Chrome is one of the best browsers that's currently available to the masses, second would be a fight between Internet Explorer and Firefox (if they've fixed their memory leak problem) but I've not used Firefox in several years (not since pre-2009, maybe in 2007). I'd tell people to give every browser a chance, even for a week, and see if their opinion has changed - I done this with Internet Explorer 10, on a whim, and I was pleasantly surprised with how smooth it felt compared to v8 (that last one I used, v7 was the last one I actively used). I've yet to do Firefox a test run, but that'll come eventually. I mix both my internet life and real life together, which is furries/Yu-Gi-Oh! (internet life) and football/Yu-Gi-Oh!/Cycling/furries (real life), and I've not really cared to what people think about what I do with my life.
The way I see it: Whatever happens on the internet shouldn't affect your real life credibility, unless it's really heinous/illegal, and real life should affect internet life. I enjoy mixing both "lives" and the 'pick n mix' lifestyle I have :3 It's only recently, in the past few years, that I've been more open about myself, in terms of internet life in real life, and I've been happier knowing that nobody really cares. I've done online dating, quite a few times, and I've always found that it doesn't work for me - bar one relationship which was just online, never affected real life. While I don't like online relationships, I know many people who've made them work, dating each other for several years, seeing each other at various points in the year, and eventually moving in with each other and living happily together.
The only time I fully discourage online relationships is when it either stretches legal countries (16 is the age of consent in the UK, for example); Both people are a huge distance apart, many even oceans away, and are still in education and/or haven't got the means to see their partner for a long time (several years). I've seen many "kids" (teens) get into relationships, usually cross-continent/country (if American) and whine/moan about not being able to see their partner, amongst other things. I usually tell them to keep their chin up and keep communications going, focus on education first, and then, when it's possible, plan to see them when you're both at an age where it's not just 2x 14-16 year olds (or something like that). I sound rather arrogant about this but I've seen many people get depressed because of distance, especially at a young age. I don't know, I'm probably an old head on a young body when it comes to this things. A boring anti-climax for a semi-final, compared to the first one, but another match goes to extra time and penalties. I wanted the Netherlands to win, but Argentina looked really strong at penalties but they'll have to do the job in 90 minutes against Germany, who look to prove why they're the best.
Argentina though; If they win the final, Brazil will never recover from this - One of their greatest rivals winning the World Cup in their country. Brazil, on the other hand, still have "the Commiseration Cup" to play for - but I'd doubt it'll do them, or their fans, any satisfaction. Just look at the history of music; We've gone from the "classical" of pure instrumental music, to two-minute "pop" songs, to swing and Big Band, to Rock 'n' Roll, the Beatles, Psychedelic/Prog/Glam rock, Metal, Boybands, Synth, etc etc...Imagine what the people of Mozart's era would say to music of, lets say, Metallica? What if the The Big Bopper was still alive, the thoughts he'd have on pop music of today. Let's not forget about Freddie Mercury, amongst others who died before their time, and their reactions to the music of today.
Music has changed so much with each decade, we'll never know what 2040's will bring us - but we can only assume it'll turn more computer-made that will take the fame while live instruments will be set aside for cover/tribute bands. But to answer the main question: If Justin Bieber, One Direction, and Rebecca Black can be considered music then Dubstep is music. I watched the match hoping for some end-to-end action, I disappointed by 50% - It was all one-way traffic in the first half, especially in the six minutes of madness that topped the six minutes of madness that I last witnessed in 2005 (Liverpool v AC Milan, Champions League Final). I knew once the third goal went in that Brazil would have a tough fight to get anything, and I knew once half-time rolled around that it'd be the end of the massacre. Oscar getting a consolation goal didn't do anything for the match itself, but credit to him for getting a goal instead of giving up - unlike the Brazilian defence, especially David Luiz and Maicon. But I do wonder what the result would of been if Neymar and Thiago Silva was playing. Either way, Brazil will have a huge deconstruction and reconstruction of the squad - just like in 1950, after Brazil lost the final, in the World Cup they hosted, to Uruguay. Really looking forward to the Netherlands v Argentina now, and hoping the Netherlands win!
