Ahhah, typing with a sliced index finger kinda hurts. I must be a masochist, or something.

...Er, g'day. I am quite new here, not only to this here board, but also to the emulated gaming realm. I like to consider myself a generalized gamer; I play console, PC, and hand held games, though I will admit that I have not touched a hand held platform in possibly two years, and I play games on my computer more than on my TV-based consoles. Since my television recently kicked it, I finally decided I ought to experiment and see what emulated games had to offer me.

My bio has a couple little tidbits about me, though I suppose to save some clicking and loading times, I will also mention them here.

My profile will say that I'm male; either this is a careless mistake on my part, or one of those occasional incompatibility issues with Opera popped up while I was preparing to dive upon the forums. I am indeed female, though even I'll admit that from time to time I certainly don't sound like it. My birthdate is also listed wrongly, and this could also be a careless mistake--I'm quite prone to these, actually--or I input the date using the wrong digit format, because that 12 really should be an 02.

I'm a little obsessive compulsive; I'll point out something about my own efforts that isn't right, and then explain the crap out of it, like I did above, for example. I'll willingly offer others to inflict bodily harm on me on the numerous occasions that I'll say or do something kind of stupid or ridiculous, which I'm sure we'll see at the end of this post.

Overall, I'm an artist. Writing and drawing are pretty much my life, and though I've been having some trouble with both of late, I would like to hope that they will remain integral parts of my being come the future. I probably seem a bit verbose. ._.; Frighteningly enough, I used to be wordier, back before my vocabulary started to slip out my ear. I digress, however, as that's not what I'm here for. The arts are my passion, and while many would disagree, I see games as precisely that--an assortment of art forms woven into a single medium.

And now that I've been yammering this text field to death, as well as the eyes of anyone still with me, I'm going to stop now. n_n; Not only is this post already kind of large for an introduction, but I forgot what else I was going to say. ...Save for that I have no honest clue how active I might be here. Either way, eh, sorry for talking your eyes out; feel free to give me a good wallop in the face with a frying pan. 8D

EDIT: *giggle* "Indrotuction"? My fingers like to be dyslexic, too.

I think I like how organized and visually friendly this site is. ._. I haven't seen many other rom sites, but some of them are pretty difficult to navigate.

1.--
Hilariously, I discovered the link to this site after googling for rom resources and finding a Yahoo! answers page that linked it in the best answer.

2.--
So far, I've only just dove nose-first into the emulated gaming scene, so I've been frequenting this place since about two or three this morning, but I've been spending all day here. ;

3.--
None. I haven't bothered trying to find any others of yet.

4.--
The only thing that needs any improvement that I can immediately think of is the libraries for some of the later systems, but you folks are already working on expanding them, so it's just a matter of waiting.

5.--
Uhh... A lot. ._.;; Mostly from the GBA section, but I've only just started digging into the PlayStation library to see what's there.

Alright, can do. Thanks. I've only just started taking advantage of the emulators that Ubuntu provides, so I'm sure it'll be awhile before I make it through even the first disc. Meanwhile I'll be sure to keep an eye out here.

Nope. ._. No good. It just continues to ask for the password until I give up and cancel the extraction.

I'm going to apologize in advance if there's already a thread about this here, but I did a quick scan of the board and checked the ones that seemed relevant.

I've been trying to get my hands on the LOD ISOs for probably about half the day now, and primarily because I've stumbled into quite the roadblock. The disc 3 .rar files are password protected, and I've been hunting everywhere for what that password might be to no avail.

Help?
