There's a British camp in the middle of Africa, a scout charges back in, a large dust cloud following behind. The man pounds through the gates screaming "The Zulu's are coming, their right behind me." Hearing him, the captain turns and orders the gates be closed. Once closed, he moves closer to the gates and turns to his 2IC "Get me the Indian trackers!" he commands, and, moments later, the 2IC returns with his trackers. 

Turning to the first, he points to the wall on their East side "Get up there, and find out all you can about our enemies" he said, being replied to with a mere nod before the tracker scales the wall to take a look. Upon reaching the top of the wall, he gets shot in the head with an arrow, falling back and tumbling to the ground below.

Turning to the second tracker, the Captain points to the Western wall, giving the same command again. The tracker obediently scales the Western wall and is subsequently shot in the head with a musket. Falling back and landing in a broken heap on the packed earth below, much to the Captains disappointment.

Finally, the Captain turns to the third scout, deciding to let the man work it as he wishes, he asks "How many of them are there?" The tracker nods, seems to think for a moment, then drops to his knees, placing an ear to the ground, he listens for a moment before straightening up to look at the captain "There are around five hundred of them, sir" he says simply, a frown plastered on his face.

Stunned at the tracker's ability, the Captain seems perplexed for a moment before nodding "How are they coming, are they on foot, or are they on horseback?" Placing his ear to the ground once more, the tracker waits a moment before looking up "There's a group of horsemen to the east, and another to the North, the rest are on foot" he says, much to the Captains confusion, and approval.

"Okay, now, how are they armed, bows, muskets, etcetera?" The Captain asks. Again, the tracker puts his ear to the floor, closing his eyes a moment, giving the impression that he's listening, before opening them and listening a moment longer. Slowly, he stands "They all have their hatchets and tomahawks, the horsemen all have musket,  the rest have bows." He informs the soldiers around him, surprise, fear and confusion all appearing on the British faces around him.

His curiosity getting the better of him, the Captain turns to the tracker once more "How can you tell all that, just by putting your ear to the floor?" he asks him, expecting a long, informative explanation. The tracker grins and folds his hands behind his back "Well, sir, the thing is, when I put my ear to the ground, and I mean, really tight against the floor..." he begins, seeing the soldiers all lean in slightly to hear what he's about to say.

Giving them another few seconds of silence, he chuckles. "I can see under the bleeding gate" he says.

Aye, there's only so much time you can put into a game before you look at the elapsed time and the words "Ah, crud x00 hours already?" sadly... I hit that point every 4-5 hours these days, that's why my Rom collection here on Vizzed is so large already, I don't get bored, per sae, I just feel the need for a change of scenery.

As for the collection, I didn't say it mattered whether or not I bought or inherrited them, I was merely pointing out HOW I managed to acquire so much treasure, I say treasure because, give it another 20 years, when I'm 40, or something, and a lot of these games will be classed as antiques, everything'll be digital by that point, so, cartridges, cassettes, disks, it'll all become something for collectors, and, since my collection can only grow... I'll be a pretty avid one at that, heh.

Okay, so, after about an hour, I've made it to...

EVERY time I'm about to pass between the pipes, they move, and I mean, EVERY time, not the best game I've ever played, but, not bad for a hack of a pretty newish game, just, might wanna fix the detection and possibly make the pipes change AFTER passing through them, because frankly, the way it's set now, is driving me to the point of hurling my computer across the room... And there's only ever been 1 game to ever do that to me before, funnily enough, the original Flappy Birds >.>

Brigand : Haha, thank you, it's not that I haven't finished a story line, I've just not ground the entire game to dust, I used to be a major completionist, still am at times, for example, the Ninja-Theory prequel to the Devil May Cry series, I bought that game on pre-order, and didn't put the disk back in the box until I'd earned EVERY achievement, including the Vergil DLC stuff.

As for my collection of consoles and games, it's amazing what 2 generations of gamers will amass, I'm not going to lie and say I bought each and every last part of said collection, but, due to the unspoken law of passing everything down, I have the second largest collection out of everyone I've physically met, and I know a LOT of hardcore gamers >.>

Davideo7 : Well, I'll have a route around, try to dig up the spares for those games, even cannibalize some cases for those that don't have them, though most of them do. And, I'll see what else I can come up with, I know I have a few games for consoles that aren't on the RGR, such as the Acorn Electron, but, I no longer have the actual console to help you create the emulator if you don't already have something.

I'll let you know what I find, and, once I get some money to ship (Should be a week tomorrow, since it'll be my birthday, but, don't know just yet), I'll arrange something, sound like a plan?

Haha, yeah, I've already played a bunch of games I'd never even heard of, let alone had the chance to play, so, the site's benefited me already.

As for adding you as a friend, I'll take you up on that offer, never know when I may need help within a game or something, and I'm never one to shy away from asking for help in general, so it's good to know that anyone is open for questioning. And, thanks for the welcome.

The wolf is, in truth, Kain from Altered Beast, as you  pull back the slide/bolt of your gun, he rises onto his hinds and launches a huge ball of flames which engulf you and any close by.

Hm... I can see this working out quite nicely, and, I'm aware that there are a LOT of games already on the site, but, here's a quick list, I haven't gone through the entire catalogue here, to find them, so, if they're already on the emulator, don't worry about giving an estimation.

Also, there may be a lot more than this, this is all just off the top of my head.

Nes: All games are loose, no manuals, I do have the old plastic sleeves for them, so it's not all bad. A few of them may have issues with loading, but, that could just be my NES.

Aaaaaaaaand, that's all of them that I can remember having duplicates of, this is just so I have an idea of what to expect if I ever manage to find the spare copies of them all, there are more, but without spending a day rifling through 1000+ titles, I couldn't tell you what ALL my available games are.

Well, without dragging a bunch of vacuum sealed boxes from out of my attic, I'll never get ALL of my games listed in the collection... That would literally take me days, specially with the Commodore and Acorn stuff, since with the Acorn I think I've got ALL the collection tapes, and a few that never came with cases and/or labelled cassettes, so I'd have to make the darn machine work, heh.

But, I'm already planning on spending a weekend taking stock of all my games anyway, so, may as well kill two birds with one stone... Soon.

Ah, yeah, I noticed that function last night, and I've already made a start on building that collection up, only two games on there so far, but it's a start, isn't it?

Also, I forgot to mention all my pre-8-bit consoles in my intro post, but if you think Acorn Electron and Commodore 64, you're in the right general bracket, I'm sure I still have my dad's old Grandstand too... Y'know, that console with only one game... PONG!

50K huh... Hmm, I'm sure that once I master some of the games here, I'll be entering contests from time to time, or, just become super active on the boards, both idea's work, I suppose.

Besides, I'm a little focussed on beating Minish Cap, I played it a few years ago, and I spent forever looking for it. So, gonna get that done, first... And then, I shall look for more games to play, hehe.   

Well, I can help you there.

When you first start, go back into Jiji's house, talk to either Koromon or the black digimon, and you'll get a bunch of items. Leave, go right, then up to the top of the area, and talk to the Digimon that's stood next to the farm patch with the meat in it, and you'll get your daily meat.

From there, go to the training camp, and train at the rock push for the first day, feeding your digimon, going to the bathroom and resting when needed. And save every 3-4 training sessions by going to Jiji's house and activating the Digivice in the bottom left corner.

Day 2, get your free meat and go to the top left of the training camp, and do the classroom for the day, same as above with feeding, toiletting and resting. Saving every 3-4 sessions.

Day 3, free meat, then go into the camp, then down into the forest, defeat Agumon, and recruit him, then, go down and left, deeper into the forest, down again, and then you have two options, you can go left, into the Drimogemon mines, or, head right, and recruit Palmon.

This should take up the first three days, I normally get Tyrannomon (Starting with Agumon) Or Drimogemon (With Gabumon) but there's a chance to get anything, really.

Another method, is to spend all three days training at the Classroom.

However, later on in the game, Numemon (The Green Pudding) is needed, as it's the ONLY digimon that can become Monzaemon, that yellow teddybear, which is crazy powerful, but that's not for a lOOOOOOONG time.

Also, instead of doing either of those fights on Day 3, if you run right, past Palmon. Until you reach Kunemon's nest, and go ALL the way to the right, then down, and find Coela Cape, leave that area at the top, and wait until evening, then, when the clock as at it's right-most point, go back down to the cape and follow the shore, you'll see a shadow in the water, wait for it to pop up, talk to Coelamon, and you'll jump over a row of them. If you're quick, when you end up on the next island, go left, skipping any fights, picking up all the items on the way, you'll come across a bride.

Cross the Bridge, then go down, all the way down, back to Coela Cape, and the shadow should be there again, providing it's still the evening, talk to him once more, and you'll recruit him.

Agumon opens the Item bank.
Drimogemon allows you to access a side-quest in which you need to drag dirt OUT of the mines, then return to another Drimogemon for money and training points, finishing this (Takes around 2-3 days to complete fully. And you can only drag dirt if the Drimogemon has a pile of it behind him.) will give you access to the Gear Savannah, another area to explore.
Palmon upgrades the Meat Farm, giving you 3 Big meat, as opposed the Regular, small meat you got before.
Coelamon opens an item shop for you to spend your money on healing items and, if needed, more food.

Anyways, hope that helps you avoid the greed blob in the future... Like I said, I've played these games to death, yet never finished any of them, my copy of Digimon Word 1 no longer works, I rented Digmon World 2 and 2003 is a game I can only play for so long before I crave some good old fashioned FF.

And, Now I'm turning this into a help thread, that was rather derailing, my bad.
