...I can't really say I'm surprised to find there's no topic about this here, but I would like to hope that someone here has heard of Mushi-Shi. It isn't televised beyond Asia as far as I know, but it's been widely released on DVD by now. The anime series is based off of the manga of the same title by Yuki Urushibara.
And since I'm just babbling mindlessly already, Mushi-Shi. Thoughts? How many of you have heard of it/seen it? And since I'm just babbling mindlessly already, Mushi-Shi. Thoughts? How many of you have heard of it/seen it? ____________________ |

Dracula at the end of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was pretty easy if you had the Crisseagrim. : | I think I killed him in about five minutes flat. I got hit a couple of times, mainly because I sucked at keeping track of what that hellbeast form was doing, but the fight was still effortless. ____________________ |

I love... Cappuccino Dream, which was one of Friendly's ice cream shoppe flavors that was discontinued years ago. It makes me sad; I remember whole years of eating the stuff while staying with my grandparents. You can still get it at their restaurants, but you have to put it together as a custom sundae now. It's coffee ice cream with swiss chocolate and marshmallow toppings.

My first PlayStation game was Crash Bandicoot 2. It was a long time ago that we got that system for Christmas, but I still clearly remember our first games. I had Crash Bandicoot 2, which I loved to death and would play again today if my stupid TV worked, my brother got Final Fantasy VIII, and my sister had gotten Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee.
I can't actually remember what my first GBA game was; it's highly likely that I wouldn't even remember it if I looked at it because the house probably ate it. If I had to guess, though, it was probably... Golden Sun. If I still used the handhelds, I would probably play through this again, despite how frustrating later parts of the game were. Crash Bandicoot 2: 4 out of 5 (Sometimes the controls got a little buggy and we'd get killed by things we didn't touch, but that was probably as frustrating as trying to get all the gems, oh man. My favorite quirk of the game was the little baby polar bear that barked like a dog. You could get a bunch of free lives off of him if you jumped just right on his head in the second floor of the warp rooms.) Golden Sun: 4 out of 5 (The Djinn system was very interesting. I was boring and gave everyone single element Djinn until I needed to resurrect somebody. <.<; THEN I mixed it up, but only temporarily. I got easily confused in some of the dungeons, but that didn't drive me nuts quite like endgame did. I hated that dragon. =_=) I can't actually remember what my first GBA game was; it's highly likely that I wouldn't even remember it if I looked at it because the house probably ate it. 'Kay. So. I found about this little gem in the making a couple of days ago. Because I read a ridiculous amount of gaming webcomics, one of them had a comic related to this: Project TRICO Leaked Test Footage
This is the next project by Team Ico, who, for those of you who may or may not have known, were responsible for Ico and Shadow of the Colossus. I'd like to know what others' thoughts are on this. Keep in mind that this footage is a year or so old, so a number of concepts could have already changed. My online handle has been with me for a long time. Probably since about 2000 or 2001. It was originally the name of the first fully original character I had ever made to role-play with on Yahoo (yes, I was that much of a dork, and still am, though not on Yahoo), and after using her for awhile, eventually she became my alter-ego and it stuck. I use the name Kaidona for just about everything (save the free MMOs, for some reason), unless I manage to hit the few places where someone else has already stolen my name. > : | Then I use the name of another character, or just slap in Kai-chan's family name, Fegkari.
Her given name was conceived by mixing up syllables into something I like, but 'fegkari' is Greek. It's a romanized version of Φεγγάρι (I am fully aware of the double-gamma, I'd have to ask whoever wrote the translating scr The nickname Kai-chan is somewhat of a given. It was coined back when I abused Japanese honorifics, and while I have pretty much stopped using them altogether, -chan just fits for Kaidona, so she's the only one that still has one. ._. Other nicknames include Kai, Kai-Kai, and Kado. Most people just call me Kai. Her given name was conceived by mixing up syllables into something I like, but 'fegkari' is Greek. I hope they fix it too. D: Battle.net's been like this for upwards of two years now, and it's terrible. I'm pretty sure they've been ignoring all it this time because they'd rather focus all their maintenance energy on WoW. -.-; I'm not particularly fond of that thing; I see it as a terrible bastardization of the RTS it's spawned from.
I have a druid that's only into act II on the server; I ought to pick him back up sometime. Either that, or make a new character, since by now I'm more calculated with my character growth. ._. I love a wide range of musical genres. Were I to try and list them, it would be easier for me to list those that I know I don't like, which currently stands at most, if not all, rap, most hip-hop (*shudder* it's deviated terrifyingly far from its roots to me), most country, various forms of American folk, aaand... that seems to be about it, so far.
I voted rock, however, because my primary love is metal, with classical, and then instrumental ambient right behind it. I voted rock, however, because my primary love is metal, with classical, and then instrumental ambient right behind it. ____________________ |

I love, love, love this game series. A lot of people get bored with playing games like these so much, but I still play all of them to this day. Out of the two that are out, though, I'll admit that I prefer the first one. It set the atmosphere for the series, and the levels you went through changed every time you started a new game. The quests get mixed around, too. The next time you play through the first one, what quests you get will vary, if even only a little. But enough about that little gem, this is about Lord of Destruction. I have an account on the US East server of battle.net, though I've been afflicted with the same problem as many other members of the service. I can't join any games, and no one can join any of mine. It's very, very frustrating when you're trying to play a game with half of your family and no one can get in any of each other's games. ._. Either way, my account on there is Kaidona as well. I play StarCraft on it, too. A lot of people get bored with playing games like these so much, but I still play all of them to this day. Okay, so I'm not the only that thinks the way they pronounce Tidus' name is obnoxious. D: I just looked into Birth by Sleep, since I had never heard of it until I touched this thread, and so far what I've been finding for release dates is "To be announced". ._. Apparently it won't even hit Japan until maybe December. I wonder if I should be depressed that half the point of this installment is to tie up loose ends from the very first game, but then I'm not particularly surprised. ____________________ |

I remember finding a collaborative skit between Rowan Atkinson and John Cleese awhile back. Loved it, but I actually found it while hunting for works by John Cleese.
This is it: John Cleese and Rowan Atkinson - Beekeeping I think both of them were excellent in it, though that's all I've seen of Rowan Atkinson, so I have no idea if I like him as a comedian. ._. Some of the others I like include George Carlin (saw him live for his last show, was among one of the first audiences to see it, dammit I miss that bastard), Bob Marley, Demetri Martin (I love nerdy humor), Tommy Tiernan (HE'S SO ANIMATED), and a few others that seem to have slipped my mind. I play it; I discovered it late last year and have been playing it intermittently since. I end up on a lot of impromptu hiatuses and can't stop making characters, so my highest-level one is about 38 on the Sanctuary server. ____________________ |

Thanks. Wouldn't it be great if I did? I can never get the serious stuff done, but get me started on something moderately goofy and it'll probably be finished within the day that I started it. Collaborative works are also likely to be finished, though probably not because I finish them. ._.;
Thinking of goofy and collab, I have this silly little thing here that I did with a friend a couple years ago.
Mine are the three simpler, and slightly cleaner ones. It needs a little context, which hopefully I can offer without writing a whole page of mindless blabber. ._.; Context: The second fellow on the left is a human. The two all the way on the right are extremely powerful individuals, and all kinds of arcane terror happens when one is sober (the one on the left), or the other is entirely off-his-arse drunk (the one on the right). At the moment everyone is sober. Thinking of goofy and collab, I have this silly little thing here that I did with a friend a couple years ago.

This is actually moderately old. It's a short (very short) piece I did that was originally intended to be in two parts, but, I ah... got stuck, like I seem to have a knack for doing, and only have part one finished. Despite this, the first part works well enough standalone, and I'll point out right now that I rarely write in the first person perspective, so this is a bit of a deviation from the norm for me. Perhaps, in time, I will pick the project back up, but until then, here's a little bit I feel worthy of sharing.
Feel free to comment, ask questions, or what have you as you will. If I post any others, they also will likely be upwards of a year old due to a terrible case of an all-encompassing art block. __________________ It had been countless millennia since last I saw his face brimming with energy. After I found him, the memory of his features started to fade, until only the countenance of his corpse, frozen in agony and shame, remained. I had succeeded him, and in his absence, began a family, and further developed the kingdom he dreamed of and fought so hard in his life to earn, build, and achieve. Yet, in life after his had ended, I steadily felt a cold and terrible emptiness, which nothing could chase away—not a new partner, not a husband, not even a child, or a prospering empire. I was distressed so constantly that no one ever noticed, and my old comrades from his time had forgotten it was even there. No comfort came in realizing his dream. No relief took in maintaining and furthering that dream. No solace found me in death. While I, too, was claimed by Sacred Hell, I never saw more than a glimpse of his face in passing while carrying out our duties under Arimos’ order. I was in a constant state of apprehension and disconcertion in those millennia. While my soul retained its memories of life in vivid detail, I noticed that those of the other inhabitants about me lost theirs bit by bit, like the text of an ancient book fading away with increasing age. As I realized it was generally an inevitable occurrence in Sacred Hell, my distress only deeper rooted itself and grew. I was an anomaly there, and I was certain that he was not—our passings continued to involve little more than him catching my eye, and it was then that I realized I had no longer existed to him even before my death. Arimos did not judge harsh upon me. My place in his realm was intended a privileged one; I had done nothing to earn eternity of his tortures. Still, I was torn into agony of my own each time I saw our commander, and there was nothing that could be done—that I would allow be done—to ease the ache that’d swallowed my soul. Order continued in the realm undaunted, and eventually the hurt became a hind-thought as the shock and sting of my revelation lost to an encroaching aloofness. I came to reluctantly accept my lot as it were, and I went numb, becoming distant and reflexive. I stopped reacting to normal occurrences, and I stopped noticing the times I passed him by. Nothing unusual ever happened in Sacred Hell. Feel free to comment, ask questions, or what have you as you will.
