Yeah Seishiro Leonhart beat Super Mario Bros already Seeing what you can accomplish in Mega Man, this should not be very difficult.

lol, thanks madison I was thinking that was it but then again I thought that every Pokemon had a male and female version so I'm guessing some Pokemon are gender specific. Good one bobq.

Congrats winners. I enjoyed reading these quite a bit and the top 3 are all great choices by the Vizzed staff. One question though, why is it surprising that Dam Ditto liked Nidoking as well?

Once I figured out how to get a perfect score it took me approximately 40 games to get it done. I almost gave up so many times. Congrats to mrjiggyfly and theweapon2. It was a fun battle and took me to the very last day to get it done. I'll always consider theweapon2 a better Pacmania player than me because he did get more points than I ever did but unfortunately the score is not acceptable for a high score post because it includes symbols instead of numerical values which is a consequence for reaching a million points.

Got to say level 8 was extremely frustrating at first but once memorized every attempt of this speedrun was a blast. Congrats to Richard geller. I wonder if our times would have been as low without his post driving us to do better. Especially congrats to madison as her time nears world records. I'd love to see that speedrun.

Thanks madison. I see that info now on the bottom left of the reply box. I honestly had no idea what that stuff meant so thanks again as I probably would not have figured it out. Sorry for being so computer illiterate.

Here's my first submission:

Title: Samus Aran - Journal Entry #3412

Ah yes, just another day fighting brain like monsters that enjoy
taking over worlds. According to this one’s dating profile they also
like long walks in secluded hollows below planet surfaces.

I respond to a distress call from the space station only to find everyone
sleeping on the job and the metroid is missing! Maybe I should have come
straight here instead of going to the station’s kitchen first.

Thank God, there you are Mr. Metroid. With some of Ridley’s favorite
dragon treats I was able to procure the metroid larva from his fatherly
like protective grasp.

Now what?!? The whole place is coming down. Crap, I knew I left the
stove on in the station’s kitchen. Time to get out of here but first
I need to stop by the little girl’s room.

Phew! Barely made it. The incendiary nature of the incident will
destroy any evidence... I hope. Lesson learned: They really shouldn’t
use gas stoves in outer space.

Some great submissions already. I wanted to compete as well but cannot seem to paste any of my pictures. When I paste them they just seem to disappear instantly.

Can you still finish the game if you go to world -1? Level 8 is more difficult than I remembered. Had to practice a few things with save states before I could get my first run in.

I believe to get a time under 18 minutes requires a perfect or near perfect game. I died at least 5 times and wasn't good at avoiding coconuts which is essential for not wasting time getting 1ups in the mini game. So congrats rcarter2 and madison for truly impressive feats.

Pretty interesting competition considering the unknown programmed point cap or maybe rcarter2 did know about it as this seems to be one of his specialties. Congrats!

Yeah this is a difficult game alright but with a little strategy and knowledge of the collision detection in particular makes it much more feasible than at first glance. Definitively know your items and realize that you can actually slow down and recover from some pretty precarious situations. Holding down the jump button allows you to jump continuously which you can use to cross some pretty treacherous environments. Save states can help you figure these things out. You can also make maps of areas that give you trouble so you don't necessarily have to memorize all the crazy stuff.

I'm just glad that arcade emulation is here and this game is a major reason why. No port of this game, that I know of, includes the pie factory except the hidden game in DK64 which in my opinion is also the most accurate seeing that the "erratic" barrels can go anywhere and change direction at anytime. However, many obstacles are easier to overcome in the 64 version and a few are actually harder.

One tip I have is that the ball pretty much follows typical billiard physics and thus follows the mathematical laws of geometry. The only exception is when it hits the platform you are holding. The more center the impact is the more it follows real life billiard physics and more off to the side of the platform seem to send the ball in the same direction, hit the platform far left the ball goes left even if the trajectory was moving right before impact. So with this you can control the ball more and aim at the item dispenser or avoid hazards.

Same here madison. Also when a ball hits the item dispenser, when going downwards, and suddenly changes direction gets me often too. However, the worse is when the ball breaks into 3 smaller counterparts. I can barely see those things let alone track them across the screen. As with Aldynes though, difficulty level does not deter me it only serves as motivation.

Congrats rcarter2, Seishiro Leonhart, and nicknacknov3. Definitively takes patience and focus not to mess up the strategy.

Being fast does grant you more bonus points like Donkey Kong. However, the A.I. programming for the Nuts is very reminiscent to the enemies in Wrecking Crew (NES) as you have to avoid them with similar strategies.

Congrats nguyenminhthien86 and moonville79. This was a difficult game mainly because it's long and if you lose focus in the 1st course it's all over.

Actually there is no way to prove that someone did not use the glitch. You can spend some time there and simply move on when you got enough points. The only way to prevent competitions from going awry like this is for video submissions to be analysed or hacked versions of the games that have these glitches removed somehow. Hopefully Hang On is not susceptible to this.

I don't think the hack exists but I question how they are made to begin with. It appears most programs can be manipulated. Does anyone know a programmer hacker? tRIUNE? Anyway I love the idea of not allowing the life containers to re-spawn but people could still get an extra life with 100 rings.  I think maybe that combined with the level's timer not resetting to the last time of the previous checkpoint when you die would do the trick. When the timer's up no matter how many lives you have it's game over and you must continue thus erasing your score.
