DMP1991 : I’m sure it’s not all in your head… It’s funny how you start thinking of something that you remember bits and pieces of from your youth and you can’t remember focal points of and it drives you crazy trying to figure it out. We’ve all been there at one time or another. I became curious myself and I was able to pull up this link via Wikipedia that lists PBS Children’s programming.

If it was on PBS I’m sure it would be one of the programs that are in the list. Hope this helps http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PBS_Kids It only goes back as far as 1993 but I am thinking that there were probably some programs that were from years before that probably went through reincarnations to update the program's content.

~sakura~ : My thoughts and prayers are with you as you battle this monster. Stay strong…. I’m in your corner… you can win this battle… Odds are meant to be beaten; I’ve had my share of lengthy hospital stays in my life as a child and was told as a child that I would never walk. I can say proudly that I beat those odds. I have a relative that is currently battling cancer and has beaten some odds of her own. I know what it feels like to have doctors tell you what you can and cannot do and to feel over matched and, although it is a rough road even the best most educated doctors can be proven wrong. My heart goes out to you and your family keep fighting you can do it…

I’m not sure what the name of the show was but it does seem like one of those shows that one would see on PBS during the day. I know that there were a couple of shows like that back then that I would flip past that were on PBS.

My best guess would be to do a Wikipedia search on PBS programming. Sorry I couldn’t be more of a help. If it were a question that was about the 80s I would likely be more helpful.

If it eventually makes progress as far as what it’s said to be intended to do than I am all for it… I just hope that eventually with all the technology available that there will actually cures to diseases. That would truly be progress…

If the new healthcare plan at the end of the day is nothing more than another form of grandstanding between two political parties sadly it will be regression from where we are currently.

It would be nice if the new healthcare plan opened the door for a program similar to Canada’s national health insurance so every citizen can get adequate care regardless of income level.

I have a relative that is currently battling Breast cancer so this is something that truly hits home for me. I am in favor of anyone or any company doing what ever they can to contribute to research efforts that will hopefully one day cure disease. KFC has always been a favorite eatery of mine it’s nice to see more and more corporations get behind a cause like this.

MegaHarv : I agree with you… Like I said I believe it all boils down to what an individual child needs to comprehend better. I think it needs to be thought out more before anyone can say anything for or against technology or hand writing.

I am a writer so I can certainly see both sides of the argument here. One thing that bothers me about some of the studies some research groups conduct about learning is that it seems to focus less on what children actually know and more on basing the studies conducted on generalizations.

I have been told that I look like Jason Alexander… I guess this is because I started losing my hair early but I have also been told that I look like Jack Nicholson from time to time. Personally, I buy the Alexander comparison more than the Nicholson though I am a big Nicholson fan.

If it is compatible I would be open to buying one… I have had some rough experiences over the years buying controllers for systems that supposedly had many features primarily Turbo and such.

So I guess some of the companies that manufactured those controllers didn’t take compatibility into account. But I would be open to buying one.

I accept friend requests… I think any time you can make a friend it makes life a little better and a little easier to cope with when situations arise because those friends that you come across are good to look to for support and advice…

It’s just my opinion of course. I guess some people might feel differently…

I think just about everyone has something they wish they could do over… I don’t think anyone’s had the so called “Perfect” life. Everyone has their struggles whether they be big or small. It is normal to want go back and do things differently.

I’ve always found that it is the struggles in life that in the long run matures you and makes you a better person and over time you discover without those struggles you wouldn’t be the person you are.

I guess it would depend on the relationship… If you’ve known the person for a long period of time and had a friendship prior to dating it’s certainly normal but if it is a relationship that started out by dating a month or so, it might be jumping the gun a bit. It is better to get to know someone first and make sure the relationship is going to last. Best of luck.

It depends on the child… I think technology is here to stay and that if it helps a child progress better by using a computer if they have problems hand writing there shouldn’t be a problem in utilizing a computer if it helps the child comprehend better.

I don’t think kids necessarily lose their skills by not hand writing on a regular basis but I think there needs to be more taken into account before one can say this is better over the other. As I said I think it all boils down to what an individual child needs and not an overall group of kids.

I have watched The Simpsons since the beginning and have seen virtually every episode… I do have a couple of favorites. One of them was when Homer became a boxer and the episode turned into kind of a spoof of the Tyson McNeeley fight when Moe rescued Homer from Drederick Tatum.

The Flaming Moes episode was also very funny… The spoof that they did of The Godfather would round out my top three but there are so many of them that one can pick.

I don’t really have a pizza place that I would consider the be all end all but anything that claims to be NY style pizza and is legitimate can rarely do wrong through it can be expensive at times but it is worth it for the quality if you find a good pizza place.

It is good to set goals for yourself; I wish you the best in reaching your goals. I don’t know much about how video games are made but if you have the background and the determination go for it… It may not always be easy but believe me when you get to a place where you feel satisfied in what you have accomplished that is something that will always be for you and no one can say you didn’t earn it at that point.

Best of luck…

I love Law & Order… I think the series is iconic and unique in the sense that it never gets stale and their good about establishing new characters though I will say it hasn’t been quite the same since Jerry Orbach left the show and died soon after. The spin offs aren’t bad either but NBC really needs to show the Law & Order franchise more respect than it has recently or it may be time for L&O to go to TNT beyond syndication with new shows.

I have DirecTV so I really don’t stay with one particular channel but I will say if I’m not recording stuff off of my DVR I spend a lot of time either browsing the movie channels or watching the Regional sports channels. I am a New Yorker so I do watch the NY sports channels regularly.

I just wish they’d lower the prices on some of the sports packages.

For me I have several that I like but only one favorite… George Carlin… Carlin was head and shoulders above the rest. If you are familiar with his material he used to talk frequently about the infrastructure of the US clasping. It is kind of ironic that two years after he died most of the stuff Carlin predicted has started to happen.

Lewis Black I think will be the one to pick up where Carlin left off… I also like Richard Pryor among others but Carlin is my all time favorite no contest...

Well if this means the last movie you’ve seen in a theatre… for me that would be 2012. I thought it was a good movie considering that most movies with the hype and build like 2012 had usually ends up being kind of a let down. 2012 wasn’t…

I would go to the movies more often if I could afford it… I still need to see a movie with all that new 3D technology so I can see what the fuss is all about before I decide to save up for a new television. The last time I saw a 3D movie was in the 80s and it really wasn’t all it was cracked up to be back then so I am curious to see what advancements have been made with the new technology.
