Review Of The Movie “Milion dolar babyâ€
This movie is about a girl who is nothing, has nothing and lives a life of dreams.
Her name is maggi, and maggi has this dream of becoming a world champ boxing in the female devision.
One day she comes across this gym where there are alot of third ranks boxers, mostly black of skin.
The owner was a boxer himself and his motto is “Tough aint enoughâ€, but then maggie comes along and she wants to train there, but his answer is no.
Maggie is pig headed and stay’s in the gym even after closing time.
The one who cleans it all up (the mess that is) is a boxer who lost his right eye in a Boxing match for the title.
He gives a few pointers to maggie and she is improving, not much but enough to make the owner train her.
She trains her butt of after he and maggie makes a deal of not asking things to him and doing what he say’s.
“Keep training and on day you will be the champ†He say’s.
Finally she comes to the world champ in the UK, billy “the bearâ€,
She come 2 punches away from the title when fate turns against her.
In the final match against the champ she turns her back to her when the bell hits for time out, billy knocks her to the floor in onto a chair where she gets hurt.
Her spinal core hase broke and she cant move from her neck to her feet.
When she come to the hospital the say that she cant be fixed and she will never walk again.
She is now in her hospital bed asking to her trainer to kill her, since she cant breath on her on and needs help with breathing.
Maggie says to her trainer that she has seen the world and that she would rather die with the thought of being somebody then not bein able to do anything at all.
Finaly the trainer shuts all the stuff around her down and gives her a injection of adrenalin and she dies.
That is where the story end in the movie.
But for me the story is only begining since there is a deeper meaning to this movie.
To me it’s “you only live one life, and you better make it a damm good oneâ€.
