zanderlex : Let's not get ahead of ourselves. lol I do have a lot on my plate towards the end of the month but it's been a really cold few weeks where I'm at so I've been online even more than usual. I was actually trying for CP, then I realized I was getting farther ahead in actions. :p

zanderlex : I think maybe. I was surprised to get it honestly. But I think I'm kind of getting the hang of things. We'll see what happens next I guess.

Darthdaishi : You won't have to wait a lot longer for photos I don't think. As of now it's beginning it's "approach" and will soon be able to produce images that rival the Hubble Telescope. It really is a once-an-a-lifetime event, it will come within 6,000 miles of the planet. After travelling a few billion. Pretty impressive engineering. (for humans) :p

It may happen on a limited scale in our lifetimes, but there are a lot of logistics to overcome. For one thing, living in low gravity is detrimental to your health and potentially fatal. Astronauts who stay in space for extended periods suffer when they return to the planet because human physiology isn't designed for that. This would also happen if you spent an extended period of time in a lower gravity environment(ie-the Moon, Mars) There are a ton of bad effects that go beyond simple muscle atrophy and include a compromised immune system. Another big obstacle is radiation. Outside of the Earth's protective belts spacecraft get bombarded with high-energy particles. The Moon or Mars afford no such protection as they do not possess a spinning core of molten iron that produces a magnetic shield like Earth does. The Apollo astronauts were lucky because they could have been fried by a random solar flare and there were near-misses while they were out there. The first thing I think we need is an orbital platform for launching because we use SO MUCH rocket fuel to lift-off from Earth. Someday we will though, if humans can ever stop wasting so many resources fighting over land.

On the brighter side, in July the New Horizons probe does it's fly-by of Pluto. THAT is exciting. I was just a kid when Voyager 2 did it's tour of the gas giants and in a few short months we'll have actual close-up photos of the 9th(yes, 9th) planet and it's moons.

MCJunglekitty- about the Moon, among other things, there's not enough gravity to hold an atmosphere there, and it's really cold.

When was the contest supposed to end? Everything I ever saw said that screenshots had to be taken before 12/1/2014. When did it get extended?

I didn't realize this ended the 28th! I only want to submit one song, "Back to Shalla-Bal" by Joe Satriani off his "Flying in a Blue Dream" release. I only hope someone hears and likes it and checks out more of his stuff. He's a legend, and it's not even his best work IMO. Marvel fans may get the Silver Surfer reference in the title. Oh yeah, the song is featured on the menu screen from Formula 1. I just recorded the sound-check.               https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RAQ--geZznE

I'm not a huge reggae fan, but Bob Marley seems a safe choice. His 1980 album "Uprising" is a masterpiece from start to finish. The opening track "Coming in from the Cold" sets the tune for an excellent listening experience. Thoughtful lyrics delivered from the soul backed by masterful reggae tunes and beats roll your emotions until the closing "Redemption Song" provides the perfect end to your journey in the world seen through Bob's eyes. It's very difficult to highlight any one song off of the album.  I would recommend any.

Davideo7 : Thanks to both you and sonikku for being understanding. I'm ok with a split I guess. It was really close anyways. If you could just send me via Amazon that would work out great if possible. I hope there's no hard feelings truly.
