Thanks for the constructive criticism, friend. I've added different sections, and color-coded them for convenience. I delved more into the game's internal design, as well as how it compares to it's arcade competitors. Thanks for the suggestion! -------------------- |

I can relate with you, friend. I too, have felt extremely neglected. My Parents really suck. My Mom constantly orders me around, and forces me to find a lasting job, even though they're hard to find. She also said some mean things to me, but I won't go into detail. My Father also sucks. He abandoned my family years ago, to marry another woman and have other kids. I don't really care for him, because he forgot me. It's a sorrowful existence. -------------------- |

Welcome to my world! I'm Ultrajeff, and this is my review for Super Battletoads A.K.A. Battletoads(Arcade). In this game, you play as the meanest, greenest, trail-blazing turbo-tilted toads the universe has ever seen! They are of course Rash, Zitz, and Pimple. Game-play Up to three players can join in on the brutality, as the turbulent toads mash through six levels. You can move in eight directions, and are given two action buttons (Attacking and Jumping). Rash is the shade-wearing "toadally" radical green toad. He has the fastest running speed, and his attacks consist of axes, boots, maces, and claws. Zits is the bluish-green slimy scientist toad. He's a mix between Rash's speed and Pimple's Power, and his repertoire includes drills, cleats, saw blades, and bulldozers. Last but not least, there is Pimple, the big bad brother of all toads! He is both the strongest and slowest toad, and his masonry favors helmets, hammers, anvils, and bullhorns. The three can run, jump, fight, and do all sorts of things! Story:The plot is similar to the previous games, mostly consisting of the Toads' never ending fights with the Dark Queen and her cronies The Summary: She's returned and sent her minions to actively combat you. You have to battle them all, as well as their numerous minions. GraphicsThe game is well-animated, with several animations depicting blood, humor, fear, anger, overconfidence and more . The characters run and fight smoothly, as well as the numerous enemies. Comparison This game is much easier then its warty predecessors. It lacks many of the frantic platforming and racing stages, though this game is not without severe challenge. It offers some variety in comparison to its numerous coin-catching rivals, as not all stages consist of beating every enemy mercilessly. Overall, its more accessible to the average gamer. Level Design The levels mostly consist of beating all the baddies, but like the NES original, has quite a few variations, such as shooting and flying levels. There are also weapons, and you are scored based on how many enemies you have slaughtered. However, the game is very difficult, as enemies could bum-rush you and obstacles can flatten your chances of victory. (I'd strongly recommend a second player and tons of credits). Levels switch between straightforward beating action and being novelty themed (Using jet packs to descend a tunnel, using guns in a shooter-like chaotic level). Music & Sound The game's music is absolutely delightful. It can be inspiring, intense, frantic and awesome. It features music from David Wise, Rare's original and most prominent composer, and he doesn't disappoint. It's definitely worth listening to more than once. In the end, Super Battletoads is a bucket full of fun! Give it a go! Game-play Up to three players can join in on the brutality, as the turbulent toads mash through six levels. Background The last game of its series. I would talk about the original, but since this is far more obscure and under appreciated, I'll discuss this game instead. Originally to be titled "Shinobi Kid", Alex Kidd in Shinobi World is the final Alex Kidd game, and as it is a sendoff, SEGA has put their all in creating perhaps the finest Master System game. The game was released in North America and Europe in late 1990. StoryIt stars Alex Kidd, SEGA's former unofficial kingpin back in the 80's, in a wacky parody of SEGA's classic Shinobi. An evil being kenned as Hanzo the Dark Ninja eludes after 10,000 years of confinement and abducts Alex Kidd's incipient girlfriend from planet Shinobi. After the abduction, Alex encounters the ghost of the archaic warrior who pristinely vanquished the Dark Ninja, who expounds that the Dark Ninja intends to sacrifice Alex's girlfriend to surmount the world. The spirit of the archaic warrior fuses itself with Alex's body, lending Alex his vigor, skills, and valiancy. Music: Not much to say. It's excellent for Sega Master System, and will really catch your attention. Check it out quick! It will not disappoint. Gameplay The game is very short, having only four rounds, each with three stages and a boss battle. Alex has a vast collection of inherited weapons, such as a sword that can destroy enemies and open treasure chests. He also can obtain a powered-up sword and ninja throwing darts, as well as utilize magic to transform into a tornado. Additionally, he can also wall-jump and become a fireball when clinging on to a rope. Locals include a sprawling urban area, a buoyant gleaming harbor, an exotic bamboo garden, and a haunting mansion. The fiendish fools include the fireball samurai Kabuto, a persistent helicopter fleet, the vicious robotic Robster, and your enigmatic ninja adversary Hanzo. The game is stylish, as it offers the very best for its dying system. However, it gets quite difficult gradually. Overall, I would say this game is worth playing immensely. Play it very soon. Because this game feels like the blissful marriage of Zelda game mechanics and depth. It's flawless! (Sort of. I might need to re-evaluate this game.) -------------------- |

Remember these amphibian athletes? Where are they now? They used to be so hot, nowadays they are not. This is the end of their slimy rope. What do you think? Should they gloriously return or fade into nothingness? What is your opinion on these fine games? Share in the comments! -------------------- |

Background: Hello, I'm Ultra Jeff, reviewing a game that needs no introduction... The ocarina of time! What's to say about this game that hasn't been said before? Well, I'll tell you what I think of it. Don't take this the wrong way, this is just how I feel. Graphics. I only think the graphics are decent, really. Hyrule pops with color, and it shows in the vibrant, lush, expansive environments. The characters are simple yet expressive. Everything has that distinct Zelda feel. They were great for N64 standards. Now, while they are well defined, they are only satisfactory to me. Sound: It is quite wonderful. Certain songs like Zelda's Lullaby and the Song of Storms really are just quite memorable and get stuck in your head, having you hum along to them all the time. Story: The plot is actually quite simple yet practical. The game focuses on Link, a Hylian boy without a fairy who must travel the world and discover his destiny. Along the way, he meets wonderful friends, fierce enemies and explores the world like he never thought before. He obviously has to stop Ganon from getting the Tri-force and ruling the world. It is very simple and short, but acceptable for this game in the slightest. Game play: The game revolves around collecting items and fighting rampant monsters, while progressing in the game's story. Navi guides you and informs you about the current situation. You eventually find Epona, and you are able to engage in stylish, convenient horseback riding. Depth & Game Difficulty: The depth is unsatisfactory. You usually go from one location to another, while talking to NPCs, buying items, and traversing dangerous dungeons. While it isn't bad, it certainly isn't anything too amazing. The game isn't too terrible difficult, as enemies are easy to defeat and hints are abundant. It's simple and straightforward. Ocarina of time is truly a decent game, and i don't need to go on forever about what makes it such. It has quite the enormous reputation, though that shouldn't be a factor. I personally don't adore this game, but maybe you might. Play it yourself and see if it's worthy of the moniker of "Best Game". Graphics. I only think the graphics are decent, really. Hello Again! Its been a while since 2012, right? Today, I'm going to talk about one of the best games to ever exist... Chrono Trigger! I don't think it hasn't been already said how good this game is, and my review will definitely show non-rpg players why this game is so great! First, let's talk about the story. Story Its basically about a boy named Chrono, who assembles an ensemble cast of friends to travel back and forward in time to stop a global catastrophe. The first of these is Chrono, a spiky-haired silent boy who travels in time to prevent a terrible fate from plaguing the world. He wields a Katana and uses lightning magic. Next we have his allies, which include Marle, a princess who uses a crossbow, Lucca, a tech-savvy friend who uses a gun and hammer in combat, Frog, a amphibian who wields an ancient sword called Masamune attempting to kill Magus, a futuristic robot named Robo, a prehistoric cave girl named Ayla who is unrivaled in physical combat, and Magus, a lord of the mystics who has a scythe and shadow magic. The story is deep and complex, employing several surprising twists and riddles that will keep you asking for much more. It is really worth looking into. Game-play : The Game is a traditional role-playing game. Players take turns attacking, guarding, using super special abilities and items, as well as team up for devastating attacks. The game's best feature is the ability to travel in time with your time machine. With it, you can travel in time, do side-quests, find your friends, and even achieve multiple endings! Graphics The sprites are vibrant and colorful. Every ounce of detail was implemented almost heavenly. Several animations display fluidity and charm, in an emotional manner. It is very atmospheric. Music This game cannot be mentioned without giving credit to its astounding music! It features the brilliance of musical geniuses such as Yasunori Mitsuda and Nobuo Uematsu. Several songs are catchy and majestic, such as the "Corridors of Time" and many others. It is the pinnacle of digitized music nobility. In the end, Chrono Trigger is absolutely outstanding. It must be seen to be positively believed. Story Its basically about a boy named Chrono, who assembles an ensemble cast of friends to travel back and forward in time to stop a global catastrophe. Background Hi, I'm Ultrajeff. This is my review on Rayman 3. Rayman 3 was made by Ubisoft in 2003. It used to be one of my favorite games growing up.Let's find out why. First of all, Rayman 3 is a 3d platformer. However it focuses on action and puzzles more, an aspect which i liked. It also had a points system, Which can be compared to others on the Rayman Zone website. Story In the game, the plot is about Rayman and Globox Controls "A" is to Jump, "B" is to punch. Gameplay This game is like its valiant console predecessors. It consists of Punching, Jumping, and Flying through several levels. You have several powerups along the way to help you. You must collect 1000 yellow lums and break 50 cages. The game has four hub worlds, with six to nine levels between each one. There are several different level types, such as: Traditional (You scroll from left to right in a traditional retro platforming style), Boss Levels (Which have no lums and are self-explanatory), Water Racing (Levels set in 3d, with no visible cages and several different obstacles), Kart Levels (Also have no cages, a fixed time-limit, three laps, and several challenging obstacles), Bonus Levels (Optional levels with no visible cages, and are for solely lum collecting), and Punch Challenges (A 2d level that requires you to scroll left-to-right horizontally using delicate "Punch Platforms", Balloons, Platforms, and Purple Lums). There are also games for Multiplayer, such as Tag (Where a player must tag another and hide), and Bumper Car (Where two players race along a steep track). Rayman has several interestingly different powers, such as Double Fist (Useful for knocking down large objects), Grappling Fist (This allows extended reach), Wall Scaling (Self-explanatory), and Super Helicopter (Allows flight) to name a few. Lums have different meanings and are quite applicable, Like Yellow (For completing secondary objectives), Red (Refills Health), Green (Which represent level checkpoints), Blue (Which extends flight time), Purple (Which gives more range), and Silver (Which gives extra lives). Check this out if you are a hardcore Rayman fan. Otherwise, this game should at least be played once to see if its right for your tastes. This is Penguin adventure. It is the sequel to the NES game Antarctic Adventure by konami. It was made in 1986. Let's get to the game. In this, you play as Penta. Penta must travel the world to find the golden apple, a special fruit that is the only cure to the disease of Penguette, the penguin princess. In the game, there is a greater variety of stages than the original's. there are many rpg elements present, which is unusual for the time. Unlike the original, there are boss fights, which give tension and thrill you to the core every time it happens. There are items in this game, which will boost your abilities and help you along the way. Mini-games are present, which test your skill and earn you fish, which you need. Level design is fresh in the game, as it features forest, ice, water, snow and even space levels. Shortcuts in the game, put you on a completely different path to finish the game faster. the game also features multiple endings, which will happen depending on your situation. Now... Let's rate the game. Graphics-7 Sound-8 Addictiveness-10 Story-10 Depth-10 Difficulty-5 Overall:10 In my opinion, this game is awesome and really fun to play. If ya haven't played it, you're missing out! Go and play it! You won't be dissapointed. -------------------- |

In case you didn't know, this is splatter house!!! It was a game made in 1988 by namco. It's different in the aspect that it is EXTREMELY Violent and gory for a 16-bit game. But i bet you already know that. Lets get to the game!! You control Rick, a Psycho Student who is trapped in the west mansion. With the help of the terror mask, Rick can use his fists and powers to rampage through the mansion so he can save his girlfriend, Jennifer from an untimely death. There is a lot of references to popular movies (E.g. Friday the 13th). The game plays like a typical 2d beat-em-up. Rick can punch and kick, as well as special moves. He can also attack by jumping, while also having the ability to use weapons placed in the levels. Let's talk about how i rate this game. Graphics-10 (For a 16-bit game in 1988 on an old console, it has the finest graphics around!) Sound-6(It sounds wonderful despite the sound limitations) Addictiveness(I'm not a fan of beat-em-ups, but if you are, and like horror and long experiences, this game is worth your time). Story-7(It has a deeper story than you think, if you want to experience all of the plot's thrills, play the game). Depth-8(The Game is BIG and cannot be completed in one sitting. Play the game to the best of your ability to find all the secrets). Difficulty(If you don't know, this is a hard one. Enemies swarm you. Be prepared at any costs). Overall-9( I recommend this game for anyone who wants a whole lot of gruesome fun! If you're a serious gamer, check this game out. It will give you chills and thrills! Test your skills! -------------------- |

Background: (NOTE: Please forget the old review happened. It was very unprofessional. I wasn't very clear. Read this with an open mind.) This is PAC land. It's not perfect. But, if you give this game a chance, you won't be disappointed. Give it a try and check it out. In this game, you play as PAC-Man, in his first platform game. It came out in 1984. It is one of the first platform games ever. It was also the very first side-scroller to offer parallax scrolling. Game play: You are given two external buttons, one to run, another to jump. You move left to right to avoid obstacles like spurts and quicksand. The game's levels are split into trips. there are many different kinds of trips, such as forest, snow, cave trips and many more. PAC has some weapons to help him, such as the magic boots, which help him jump in midair more than once, Fruits for bonus points and numerous extra lives, Power Pellets to exterminate loathsome ghosts, and abundant Fire hydrants, which hide several secrets depending on the trip, such as temporary invincibility and warps. You are usually given two-to-three rounds, with your high score dependent on clear time and your jumping position at the level's end. Story: This game lacks one. Basically, PAC has to go to Fairyland to return his new friend. He also has to stop the conniving ghosts, who are assaulting anyone on the street's walkway. Rating: Now that i explained that. i will now rate the game. Graphics-7(The game has a lot of charm because it utilizes graphics like never before.(Parallax Scrolling) Sound-5(the game despite being old, has some decent music that isn't too bad) Addictiveness-4 (It isn't very addictive, but it might get more fun to play the more you play it) Story(The story is average at best) Depth-10 (The game scrolling makes it a big game and challenge, so don't beat it in one sitting). Difficulty-6 (the game starts easy, but becomes hard. by the time it does that, you will get use to it. It's simple to understand, but your difficulty will be very control-based.) Overall-8.2 this game might not seem like much, but it is a fun and appealing game that will get you pumped when you play it. If you're a fan of PAC, arcade games, or any type of game, this is a Must!!! What you waiting' for? Go play PAC-land and get your game on!! Even if this game isn't perfect, it can at least call it a game unlike it's NES Counterpart. i prefer this game for any ghost busters fan. -------------------- |
