I guess I can see why its popular...well, why Edward is popular. I didn't read the book, but I thought the movie was terrible-very hard to watch. It was creepy and unsettling, and I didn't think the two had very good chemistry either. And why do girls fall for these mysterious, creepy types anyway? pisses me off.

I don't agree that a mass murderer can be forgiven and a gay person can not be forgiven. That is not a Biblical concept and those who buy into it are not representing Christ.

Also IBOCK, you mentioned many examples of so called Christians doing evil things. I don't even know where to begin. Christians are imperfect just like everyone else. We are in now way above others, and everyone is capable of evil.

Also, true Christianity is not about following any set of rules; it's about a relationship with Christ. Christ came and confronted the religious leaders of his day about their laws. They felt so threatened by Jesus, that they had him killed (and broke several of their own laws in doing so).

I agree that Christians have done horrible things, and that devoting one's life to following rules doesn't make sense. However, I feel you are misinformed about the heart of Christianity.

I'm an engineer and not a climatologist (is that a word?), but I do feel I am fairly informed on this issue because I attended a forum in which I saw "An Inconvenient Truth" and talked with three researchers who were part of the studies Al Gore used. I am also a conservative Christian and understand the skeptical arguments as well (read articles, etc.)
What I do know for sure:
1. The Bible does not explicitly say the earth will burn up
2. The earth is hotter than it has been in a long time (a few thousand years minimum, maybe much longer).
3. Al Gore's simulation of the earth flooding is nonsense and is not backed by the science community
4. C02 levels and high temps are related, but CO2 levels always rise AFTER temps have gone up
What I think:
I'm not convinced either way, that's for sure. Remember, there was a global cooling fad in the 1970s, but that doesn't mean humans aren't causing global warming either.

I Thought about doing this awhile ago, until I read what some users had to say about it. People said it took too long to accumulate money and their accounts were canceled for no reason. Again I haven't used it, but that's what I read.

I'm new, so take my opinion for what its worth. I think making people be active on the boards to download ROMS is a really bad idea. If it were set up that way, I would have left and got my ROMS elsewhere, and never joined the forums. Traffic would go down and so would the value of the advertising here. It seems like the whole thing blows up if you force people to join.

I think college is worth it as long as one is motivated to learn. When I graduate, I will be an engineer making $50-60K a year and will be able to pay off my loans in a relatively short period of time. That money can be made without college, but not easily (especially in this economy). I would have to admit there are a lot of worthless undergraduate degrees that proably aren't worth it.

Hello all, I recently discovered this terrific website.
I am a mechanical engineering student during the school year and an amusement park ride operator in the summer.
My favorite video game series are: F-Zero, Donkey Kong Country, Mega Man, Metroid, and Mario platformers/kart/sports games.
