Intro to the review!
Alright everyone this is my fourth review of video games and this one is an arcade of my childhood (mainly during middle school). Okay, picture back in 2008, I'm in 8th grade and it's almost the end of the school year (May), I'm bored since we have just finished all the major tests so I decide to check out some arcade games. It was then I stumbled upon this game. And I absolutely loved it. Years later I'm now in college, I have this account, and I decided to get this game. And I have to say...I can't believe I used to love this. I still do but I see some flaws that I couldn't see years ago.

Graphics- 9
The game still looks nice from when I remembered it. The ship design is cool, the level design is not as breathtaking as it used to be but I still liked it, and the bosses are still quite huge. Overall, the graphics have grown attacked to the past and I've started to notice it nowadays.

Sound- 8
Out of all the things I also tend to remember is the sound. The sound is still pretty nice and I still enjoy hearing the explosions as I crush my enemies under my foot! The music is also nice, being able to fit the settings of each levels relatively well (at least to me, I don't know about you) And the boss themes does start to get a little grating to my ears as there are only 3 themes (the other one being the final boss theme of course). Other than those problems, I don't see much wrong with the sound quality of the games.

Addictiveness- 9
This is just from my personal perspective but I loved playing this game and I will pop it in from time to time, mainly when I have nothing to do after finishing my assignments. It's still damn good fun every time though. So take it from me when I say this game is still a fun game to try.

Story -
...You're joking right? You want to know if an arcade shooter has a story? Fine! Uh....the story has something to do with Nostradamus' prediction of " a great leader would come from the sky to rebirth an old ruler over a lost province on Earth" coming true in July of 1999. Only problem is that his prediction didn't take into account an alien invasion originating from Saturn! And now it's time to fight them back with our own technology that we somehow got in 1999 and win back out planet (I didn't make this up)! Yeah, your average story in shooters in the arcades.

Depth- 8
I feel like I'm being a little nice when it comes to depths in shmups. This game is not long (it's actually 9 stages long) like other arcade games so the game makes up for it in difficulty.

Difficulty- 8
I'm going to say this right now, this game is still very tough. However, the difficulty of the game depends on what player you are. For player one, you have the ability to shoot behind you and your shot power is average. However, if you're player 2, you gain the huge advantage of a full frontal assault with a pretty noticeable increase in power compared to player one. Which in this reviewer's opinion is quite a balancing issue.

The final verdict- 8.4
Overall Nostradamus has held up pretty well throughout my childhood and it still is a good fun time to play for me, now as for what I'd say to you the reader, I'd say that you play it and judge it for yourself. It's fun, it's challenging, and it looks and sounds nice for an arcade game from 1993. FACE (the company that made the game) did a very good job with this game and personally I'm very impressed with it.

Pros & Cons
+ This game is very fun and can eat your quarters if you're not careful
+ Graphics are nice and colorful
+The Challenge is indeed there so make sure you do not get overwhelmed by enemies or you will be sorry.
- The music (specifically the boss themes) can get a little annoying after a while of listening to them
- The balancing issue with the 2 player ships are quite noticeable being that player 2's ship is more powerful than player 1's.

DARKANINE : 1999 was once the LONGEST creepypasta I read. And then I read Godzilla NES. And now I want a romhack of the NES game with the creepypasta elements, from "RUN" to the final battle against Red (the monster not the Pokemon trainer).

Is anybody planning on reading some creepy pastas during this month or doing anything that relates to a bit of horror?

Mega Mewtwo X : In order to write 1000 words in a review, I'd need to have a LOT to say about a game. If I start to review games on the PS1 or the Saturn then I'll figure something out.

Mega Mewtwo X : If a trusted member thinks this is a good review then I really did a good job with this. Thanks for the criticism. I'll try to put in more work with my next review (I'm hoping to review DoDonPachi later on this week). I'll take your suggestions into consideration.

Singelli : Yeah, the "fan service" ending was a bit of an Easter egg in Strikers 1945. You need to get all gold medals and beat the game with one continue. Pain in the ass to be honest. The flaws I can see personally is that unlike the amount of shooters I've played, this game is rather tame and short (especially after playing the original DoDonPachi which I need to review after finally beating it). I should have added it to the review. Then again, this was my third review, so the more I learn.

greenluigi : Remind me, why do people hate Unova? It did so many things right! Hidden abilities, the Chandelure line (at least to me), a huge post game, the best move tutors, and you get the opportunity to fight every gym leader and champion in BW2!

relinquish022 : Now that's what I call a fangasm. I'm also pretty excited for Hellsing Ultimate. Especially the last 2 episodes finally getting dubbed next month. Even though I've already seen all ten, I'm still excited to see how the dub will take the ending.

Alright anime fans, bring out your inner harem fan and answer my question: What is your one of your favorite harem anime? Let me start with mine, one of my personal favorites is Highschool DxD. Good fan service, likable girls, a not dense harem MC, good story, and now there's a third season in the works!

Okay so this review has been coming for a while for me. I just didn't have the time to do it, today I'm going to review Strikers 1945: a game within World War II...with an interesting twist.

Graphics: 10
I got to admit, the game looks very good, and the plane designs are very nice to look at. And the bosses are quite large in size compared to you and your trusty WW2 plane so it seems a bit intimidating. And the designs of the pilots (and one guy depending on what plane you choose but I'm not telling which plane it is!) are pretty nice.

Sound: 8
Unfortunately unlike the other games I've reviewed, not many songs stands out to me except for the final boss theme mainly, which is a damn shame since the soundtrack is alright. Of course being the first game in the series, the soundtrack doesn't sound as good as other games so I suppose I can consider that.

Addictiveness: 8
This is still a fun game when you get past the flaws and nit picking you might see or have. And I suppose you will keep coming back to try to get all the gold medals for a little treat at the end which I will mention in the next part of this little review.

Story: -
I have no idea why you're here if you're looking for a shooter with a decent story. May I direct you to the 3-D R-Type games, Thunder Force 3-6 (5 I might later review), or Einhander if you want a shooter with a story.

Depth: 9
I suppose this is a pretty interesting shmup. However it's no Darius mind you (why am I comparing different franchises?) With 8 stages and two loops it might keep you busy or eat your quarters depending on how good of a player you are. Which you need to be a good player to get a good ending (depending on your definition of good).

Difficulty: 8
This game isn't too hard, but the most determined players will want to try to 1CC the game if they want to get the "best ending" and or if you have the pride enough to go through both loops of the game. Of course the game does get harder within the second half of the game so trying to 1CC the game would be a little tough.

Overall Rating: 8.6
Overall, Strikers 1945 is a nice game with the core texture of a shooter and your stereotypical World War II shooter with the twist of battle ships, blimps, bomber planes transforming into mechs and then aliens! Aliens everywhere! To an ending depending on how you do would reveal that the pilots...are fairly attractive women (and one dude), and if you especially do well (meaning don't use a continue and get all the gold medals), you get what I call the "fanservice ending", which is technically the best ending of the game (I mean, if you're into that stuff). Something that Psikyo is pretty known for other than the shooters and the infamous "second loops". If that's not your thing, the game was also ported to the Saturn and the PlayStation. The fanservice endings were of course censored in the PlayStation version as well as having a lot better details in the games (including the pilots). I personally recommend this game if you're into this game. And I suppose other games I can recommend is 1942, 1943 The Battle of Midway, and...pretty much any other "normal" 1940s shooter.

One of my favorite series is a pretty underrated series known as the Rayforce series. Favorite of the games is Raystorm easily. First game I've played in the series and since I've played all 3 I can easily say that one wins by a landslide.

Review for E.T.
Holy crap this is the biggest thing I've ever seen. This is widely considered to be the WORST game in existence. I thought to myself, "oh please it can't be that bad." I was wrong. It IS that bad. If not worse!

Graphics: 2
I know this is an Atari 2600 and it is a primitive console but even that can pull off some nice looks but this...this is just disgraceful! It almost made my eyes want to vomit blood just by looking at it. And E.T doesn't even look like E.T, even if it's an Atari console!!!

Sound: 1
I wish I could rate this lower, I really wish I can rate this lower, but I can't. This has to be the worst sounding game I've ever played! The theme does not translate well into an Atari console. There isn't even any music other than the sounds of footsteps or falling! The sound can cause ear aches it's that annoying!

Addictiveness: 1
It's addictive all right...addictive to see how many things these people did wrong with this game! I mean, it's amazing how virtually unplayable this game is. I can't even call it a game! Sometimes I think the CIA uses this to torment terrorists! It's that bad.

Story: -
WHAT STORY?!

Depth: 2

I'm not even sure I can even say anything about the depth except, wow there is pretty much nothing to do and I feel like you can die pretty damn easily.

Difficulty: 5

This game is hard alright...hard to control, hard to imagine why would anyone create this monstrosity, hard to believe you are even playing it other than you heard everyone saying that it's the worst game ever and you should play other games that will torture you (in a good way) like a majority of bullet hell games, Contra, Metroid, heck, even SUPERMAN 64 is better than this!

Overall: 2.2

This is easily the worst game I've ever played. I'm not exaggerating either. It's ugly, it's sound is annoying, it's unplayable, it's disgusting to the soul, and it's amazing that the game industry even survived after this thing contributed to the collapse of 1983! I'm glad to have been born in the 90s so I wouldn't have to see the gaming industry (or Gamindustri in Hyperdimension Neptunia) fall apart. See?! This game is so bad I've thought of other more better games than this travesty. Why did I even play this again?! They should have given the customers refunds and apologies for letting kids in the 80s buy this. And the biggest problem I have is this could've had the potential to either be as bright and shiny as the movie or even outshine it! After all, this was released when the hype of the movie was huge. I've seen the movie as a kid and I completely understand where these people are coming from when they say it's one of the greatest movies of all time (it's no Citizen Kane according to others but whatever). What matters is this game really is the Citizen Kane of bad games. Why am I even comparing a good movie to this?! Just...don't play this game. It's for your health and overall sanity.

I heard of that theory before. And to me that is one of the weirdest theories I've ever heard. But then again I've heard of weirder theories. Then again I've read some of the theories as to why Brock left Ivy.

I guess I'm very good at G-Darius. I managed to get through the hardest route (Omicron) without using a continue and it took a lot of practice.
