A second Super Mario Galaxy game! I was very excited when I heard news that this came out. When I played it I had a lot of fun. I thought it was even better than the first game. However, there are a few people that think that the first game was better. After I heard this I went back to play the original game again and even watched a few videos. Ever since then I've been unsure of which game I like ether even though I was never able to complete the first game. I'll probably figure it out sooner or later, just not right now. The graphics in this game are good. I don't think I would say they are as good as the last game though. I'm not saying the graphics are bad, all I'm saying is that the first game started out a little better when it came to graphics. One thing that looks good in my opinion is in Yoshi Star Galaxy. When you use the launch star after eating the giant plant, the volcano explodes. I think it looks pretty amazing since you're flying through the sky and then something explodes behind you like you're in the movies. Later on the graphics do get better. As an example, the background in Chompworks Galaxy looks very good while your flying in. All the colors mixed in looks amazing and what you would expect out of a game like this. I think the sound in this game is alright. I've listened to some of the music. Right now I like the music in Beat Block Galaxy is pretty good. I don't think it's as good as Gusty Garden Galaxy or Buoy Base Galaxy from the first game. However, one that might come close in my opinion is Fleet Glide Galaxy. It sounds very inspirational. It has that tune that you will remember when you need to. Another song I heard and thought wasn't that bad was the music for Freezy Flake Galaxy. This song sounds like you are taking a walk in the snow. It's kind of slow, kind of simple, but I think it's a good song. The last song I will talk about is Spin-Dig Galaxy. I think it sounds pretty good. In my opinion it sounds a little bit like party music. It's not as slow as Freezy Flake Galaxy. I think that it's a good song. A lot of the music in this game is very good. I find this game pretty addicting. They added more to this game which makes people like me want to play it more. The biggest thing they added was Yoshi. Yoshi made me want to play every single day. They added new power-ups such as the rock mushroom. This game wasn't as difficult as the first game which I don't really know if it makes it more addicting or less addicting. But there were a lot of Galaxies to go through and a lot more things to use. I think this game is more addicting than the first. The story in this game is not all that different. But, this game acts as if the first one never existed. With that said, I will now tell you the story. The beginning says that every century, stardust falls on the Mushroom Kingdom. Peach sends a letter to Mario asking if he would like to share some cake with Peach while they watch the stars. On his way to the castle, Mario finds a peculiar, white star lying on the ground. The star jumps up and decides to stay with Mario, so he buried himself under his cap. Mario felt power surge through him and he learned the spin ability. Mario continues on to the castle. But when he gets there, he finds an unpleasant surprise. Bowser has become huge and captured the princess once again. After a quick face to face chat with Bowser himself he flies away and disappears. Some yellow stars call out to Mario from the castle. Mario heads over there to see what they want. The white star pops out of his cap and the other stars recognize him and yell "OH! Master Luma!' The yellow Lumas are talking about getting thrown overboard and other things you don't know too much about. But then they start talking about things you do know, like saving the princess. So to help out, one of the Lumas transforms into a launch star so that you can get your journey started. This game is pretty big. It's pretty much the same as the last game, but it has Yoshi and new power-ups too. It has 120 stars to collect. But this time there's 120 more green stars to collect. They added Yoshi to this game, Yoshi is used to eat things and get them out of your way. He also has his very own power-ups. The blimp pepper allows you to rise up for a short time since Yoshi is inflated like a balloon. The dash pepper is used for Yoshi to run up walls since he runs really fast when he eats this. The light berry is used for Yoshi to light up the matter so you can use it like a pathway. The rock mushroom is used for Mario to form into a rock and destroy everything in his way when you shake the Wii Remote. Everything else is pretty much the same as in the original game. I found this game to be easier than the last one. This was not as challenging as the last. They still had the Purple coin Comet from the last game that I couldn't complete, but it was easier in this game even though they had Cosmic Clones which are copies of Mario that spawn repeatedly and follow his every move. This game was not as difficult as the last. The bosses were easier, the stars were easier to find. It was a bit challenging trying to find all the green stars but I did it! This game is definitely easier than the last one. After writing this review, I think I like Super Mario Galaxy 2 better. I just think it was a lot more fun and it was a really great game to play. I love this game. The graphics the sound, everything. I think it's better than the first. The graphics in this game are good. I don't think I would say they are as good as the last game though. Super Mario Galaxy was the first game I had for my Wii. I got this game for my birthday along with my Wii. It was a very fun but difficult game. There was a lot to do this game and I liked it a lot. I think the graphics in this game are amazing. You're traveling through space so obviously Nintendo used the Wii to it's best potential. You get to travel to a lot of different planets and the designs you see is amazing. One thing I can definitely say looks really cool is the star bits raining down onto the planets. I also like the design for the black holes that you get sucked into when you die. The sound in this game is good. The music for Gusty Garden is a really good one from what I've heard. I like it, but I feel that it's not the best music. It is still good, but I really like the music for a purple comet. I find it good because it makes me feel like I'm actually running around space somehow. I had to listen to this song a hundred times trying to collect the purple coins in Toy Time Galaxy. Another one that I heard and thought was really good was the Buoy Base Galaxy music. It makes me feel inspired. There's a lot of good music in Super Mario Galaxy. This game is not super addicting, but it is hard to stop playing. This is an adventure type game and it's really long. I don't exactly like these types of games. However, I found this game really fun. Sometimes the difficulty gets to you and you get so aggravated that you just stop playing. Sometimes I just don't want to play this game though. I will play this game a lot though when I'm on a roll and I get a lot done. Otherwise I find this game easy to walk away from. This game has a bigger story than usual. The Star Festival has come to the Mushroom Kingdom. The Star Festival occurs every one hundred years. So the princess sends Mario a letter inviting him to the Star Festival, saying she has something to give him. So Mario makes his way to the castle. Of course, Bowser has to interfere and take the whole castle off the ground (just like in Paper Mario). Mario is standing on the bridge of the castle. Then Kamek comes and knocks him off with his magic. Instead of falling back down to earth, Mario lands on another planet and he meets bunnies. The bunnies say they want to play hide and seek with him. After finding the bunnies, you are introduced to Rosalina who tells you all about what has just happened. She also gives you a Luma who gives you the power to spin so you can attack and travel. Then you must collect power stars and grand stars to power the observatory and save you special one. This game is big. There are 120 stars to collect. Some are very difficult, making this game take longer to complete. You get to discover new galaxies and there is so much to it that I actually don't know what to say. There are new power-ups you get to use. It's all different so there's a lot more to it than normal. This game is difficult. There were two stars I was never able to get. One was a hidden star in some galaxy in the Engine Room. The other was the purple comet in Toy Time Galaxy. Luigi's Purple Coins was the mission that had to ask someone for help. I was never able to complete this mission. You had to long jump across rotating platforms, I always missed a few coins and had to jump back hopefully landing on and running off the rotating platform. I never did it once. Then there's a few points where you have to jump off to get about six coins and then spin and go back onto the same platform you jumped off of. This is why I was never able to do this mission. It was so hard. Before I end this review, I'm making my own category titled game play and controls. I'm doing this because a lot of the comments I get say I don't talk enough about how the game works and stuff. So here it is for you guys. This game used a lot of each thing for the Wii. It was one of the first games for the Wii so it used the nunchuck and the motion sensor bar. They made it work so that if you shake the Wii Remote, Mario will spin and it would break open boxes and stuff. I think that it worked really well like that. Also, they used the motion sensor bar a lot. When you point at the screen, a star is there. It collects star bits without you even needing to walk up to them. Then they had things called pull stars. When you have your pointer on the pull star and you press A, Mario will get pulled up to the star. Also, they use the motion sensor bar so you can point the Wii Remote at it and That's all I have to say about Super Mario Galaxy. The first Wii Game I owned and one of the best Wii games I own. I think the graphics in this game are amazing. You're traveling through space so obviously Nintendo used the Wii to it's best potential. Nintendo Land was the third game I bought for the Wii U. It is the best Wii U game we have right now in my opinion. Nintendo Land acts like a place where you get to play games. But these aren't ordinary games, these are games featuring Nintendo characters. Some are puzzle games, some are competitive games and some games you play as a team. I think that the competitive games and team games make it a great party game and family game. I think the graphics in this game are good. There are trophies and such around the plaza that you can touch and they will do things. I think the design for these trophies is really good. Another thing is the attractions, Mario Chase I think has a good course design. I also think that The Legend of Zelda attraction also has really good design. I think the enemies look like yarn in that attraction, I like that. Don't forget the Pikmin attraction, that has good graphics too. I like how they designed the costumes in the game, costumes such as Mario, Luigi, Toad, Olimar, Pikmin and all the other costumes look great. I think the sound is really good in this game. They remixed a lot of songs and they sound really good. You know that song from Super Mario Bros. 3? They remixed it and I liked it a lot. There's also different music for each time of day, morning, evening and night. Not only do I think these look really cool but the music is amazing. Morning just sounds really happy, evening is really calm, night is a remix of morning but it sounds really good. I love the music in this game. This game is really addicting. It sometimes runs out of things to do, but if you have a lot of people playing this game with you, you won't stop playing for a while. The competitive attractions make this game really fun and amazing. I'm always playing Luigi's Ghost Mansion or Mario Chase with my brother. We won't stop playing for a long time or until my brother starts being a sore loser. I wish that they had more competitive attractions sometimes. This game is addicting but I just sometimes think it would be more addicting if they had more attractions. This game has no story. You are in a theme park and you have 12 attractions to choose from. That's it. This game is not that big. It has 12 attractions to choose from and when you play them a certain number of times or complete the game. Then it becomes a star attraction. I think that's it except for the attraction tour. Like I said, I wish this game had more attractions sometimes. This game is not that difficult sometimes. I like to play the competitive attractions a lot. When there are three other players in Luigi's Ghost Mansion it is hard for the one player. It's the same for Mario Chase but not for Animal Crossing. I find it easy as both types of players in Animal Crossing Sweet Day. But there are some things I find really difficult and that's Donkey Kongs Crash Course. It's really fun but it's hard sometimes. That's the end of my review. So there's my opinion on Nintendo Land, it's a really fun party and family game. I've dreamed at night for a game like this and one came out. I think the graphics in this game are good. There are trophies and such around the plaza that you can touch and they will do things. I think the design for these trophies is really good. This game is one of my favorites of all time! I seriously want my whole life to be like this game. It's a fun and thrilling game about soccer. My favorite sport recreated in my favorite way! This is my review for Mario Strikers Charged. The graphics in this game are really good. I think the design for character and sidekick outfits are great, but what I really like is the art for each captains special shot. I can see burn marks on the ground after an explosion and things all around that look really good. Sounds in this game are also good. There are sounds for the ball bouncing on metal ground, background music for special captain shots, sounds for evading (Wii remote D-pad), and tons of other sounds like people getting electrocuted. The music though, I think that it's mainly rock music, it plays for the opening scene and sudden death. I haven't noticed any other kinds of music besides character This game is really addicting. I've played this game for three hours once. It's just so thrilling especially in striker cup. There's always so much going on. I don't know what Nintendo did but whatever they did you will never put down the controller. This game doesn't really have a story. You're just climbing up the ranks to be the ultimate soccer player. Doesn't really sound too thrilling but trust me it is awesome! This game doesn't have that much to do. It has missions which you will get a cheat for if you complete it (there is one for every character). It has a mode where you can play with the AI or someone else and you can use the cheats in your game (some of them are really annoying). Then of course it has a story mode where you become the ultimate soccer player. Then it has a mode where you can play with people around the world with WIFI. Unfortunately my house has a WIFI error so I was never able to play with anyone. This game is hard. It's easy in the fire cup as long as you set the difficulty to normal (I have never been able to win on expert). The crystal cup can be kind of annoying if you aren't used to the game. However, the striker cup is the hardest thing I have ever had to go through (next to Kaizo Mario World). I only made it to the championship once and I lost horribly. I can't even imagine what it's like on expert. Then in free play mode, you can set the AI to five different difficulty settings. Superstar is the hardest one. I have never scored a single goal when the AI is set to that mode. So usually I let the AI get all the gaols and then at the last few seconds I would switch teams. Then there's the missions. Some of these missions really get on my nerve, such as the last one lucky seven. In this mission you need to win the game and get at least seven goals. I've won before, but I lost because I didn't get seven goals. I could not do it until I watched a video on it. I find this game very difficult. This is my favorite game. If you've played it I'm sure you could say the same thing. By the way, I'm not joking when I say that I want my life to be like this. This game was a game that I started growing up with. I played this game a lot but I was never really as good as my aunt, until now. I really enjoyed playing Super Mario Sunshine. The graphics in Super Mario Sunshine was good, at least I think so. i think the design for FLUDD is cool. I also like that when Mario walks or slides into the goop, the goop gets on him and it looks really cool. I think that the goop itself looks good too. It looks kind of like paint, but at the same time, you know that it's not paint because it's moving. There is one problem that I know about though. If you grab a shine while spraying water, Mario will do his dance and pose. When he's posed, you can see FLUDD acting like he's spraying water and partially going through Mario's head. That's really the only problem I've noticed throughout the game. I like the music in this game. I like the music like Noki Bay. It seems like it describes the scene very well. I also like the music for Delfino Plaza and Ricco Harbor. I also like the sound for spraying water. It sounds like water being shot out of a machine, because that's what it is. I really like the music for Sirena Beach. It seems like a calm song. which would make sense since you're in a hotel by the beach. Then there's Pinna Park. It sounds just like amusement park music, it feels like you're having fun, it has a happy beat, it's the perfect song! I'm likely to play this game for a while once I turn it on. It all depends if I can get any shine sprites. As long as I keep winning I'll keep playing. Somehow it does get boring though. It might be because I like multiplayer games like Mario Kart and want to play that with somebody. I will play this game for two hours though and get a few shine sprites doing that. If it's a really difficult mission then I would play it for a while. The story in this Mario game is slightly different. Mario and friends decide to have a vacation so they head to Isle Delfino for one. But when they arrive, Mario is mistaken as a criminal, so now he has to clean up Isle Delfino and get the shine sprites back. When you finish cleaning up the first mess, Mario meets his new enemy Shadow Mario. Shadow Mario doesn't have too much of an explanation at the beginning of the game, but when you go to Pinna Park you realize that it's not Shadow Mario, it's Bowser Jr. in disguise. Here he tells you the story. He says that his father told him that Peach is his mama and that Mario was trying to take her away. So turns out, Bowser still captures Peach. This game is an adventure game so of course it has a lot in it. This game has 120 shine sprites to find. Some of the shine sprites include mini games, blue coins, even real skill and knowing what you're doing in some of them. This game will take you a while to finish. This game isn't that hard if you know what you're doing. However, it has some really difficult parts such as the battle vs. Phantamanta in Sirena Beach. That one took me forever to do it was almost impossible. The final battle wasn't all that tough, I remember Bowser going down without too much trouble. Other boss fights though (like the ones in Gelato Beach) are insanely difficult so you must be prepared. Not just boss fights are difficult in the game, the giant sand bird is really difficult, I did it when I was 5. Now i try it again, and I get to the seventh coin once out of fifty tries. It was really aggravating. Super Mario Sunshine was a really good game and I know it. It has difficult parts, fun parts, other parts too. Overall, I think it was a great Mario game. Super Smash Bros. was a fighting game for the Nintendo 64. It was a good game because it was addicting and difficult. Super Smash Bros. Melee is a different story, but not in a bad way. It was a good game with loads of new characters with new attacks. So let's brawl! Oh wait, that's the wrong game. The graphics in this game are ok, I just sometimes feel like the characters look a little like a cartoon. They just look too bright. It might just be my TV. After a long look, I do think this game is good on it's 3D effect. I paused and took a good look at Yoshi's Island and it looks good. The area Big Blue looks just a little bit bright on my TV. But in Jungle Japes, I think the look of the water is really outstanding. Plus, if you look in the window you see Cranky Kong doing random things in his cabin. Sound is this game is good. I would say that most of the sound is actually taken from the Nintendo games. But fighting sounds are good. By that I mean the sounds you make when you're hitting someone. Sound really was amazing I guess. The addictiveness of this game is that you will stop playing after a while. I have never played this game for more than an hour and a half. It is an outstanding fighting game, it just doesn't get too addicting unless you're fighting level nine AI, or doing the final challenge. I will not stop trying the final challenge for a while. I even thought I beat it once, but that was a dream. Anyways, this game is addicting, just not addicting to the point where I would play it for 3 hours. There is no story for this game, I do not know what the whole deal is with the giant hand is though. But that's not the point, there is no story for this game. This game has so many unlockable characters and so much to do to get all of them. For the last character you need to complete target smash with every character except for him. The character you unlock by doing this is Mr. game and watch. There are also many trophies to unlock. Trophies are things you collect during your adventure and by using the lottery. There are so many trophies, kirby hat 1-5, kirby ball, blue falcon, and many more. This game is difficult if the AI is on level nine difficulty. But it's not impossible, I have done it before. What is especially hard is the final event. Not only do you fight Master Hand, but you also fight his friend Crazy Hand. It is extremely difficult since it takes a long time to take them out and you're fighting them both at the same time. There is no way that I can figure out how to defeat them. Super Smash Bros. Melee is a great game for multiple people. It's a much better challenge that way. So you should try this game, it's really good. Mario Kart Double Dash, very fitting name for a very good game. Mario Kart Double Dash is a Mario racing game, there was Super Mario Kart and Mario Kart 64. Both were good games but neither were like this. Instead of just one driver, you have a choice of two characters. Each character has it's own special item. Babies usually have the best items but the worst cars, adults such as Mario and Luigi have decent items and decent cars. Other adults such as Bowser and DK have good cars but not very good items. They always do it fair. There are many combinations of characters which will affect your car and special items. Let's get more into it. This games graphics are really good. It's just that sometimes I feel like the characters look like clay or something. This usually happens after the race. Other than the character design being a little weird a have no problem with this game. Item pictures, kart design, course design, it's all perfect. At least to me it is. Sound is good, it really does feel like racing music. Especially Rainbow Road, that one really makes it feel like you're flying above a city on a rainbow! But you can't forget about Sherbet Land! Sherbet Land has great music, it still maintains the fact that you're racing but it also transports you into a different world. It has a really good tune, I love it so much. Addictiveness for this game is unbelievable. My family and I will play this game for 3 hours straight! It gets really competitive and a lot of fun! Playing battle mode and trying to kill each other. If we didn't have important things to do, we would probably play this all night. But it definitely does get boring after a while. It does begin to feel like you're just doing the same thing over and over again. This game has no story. All you're doing is racing, there is no point to this game. There are tons of unlockables such as charcters and other tours. But there's no story, the real story is to have fun. This game has unlockable characters such as Toad and Toadette. There is also an unlockable mirror mode where you do the courses backwards. You unlock this after you complete the all cup tour on 150cc and win. It is very hard I have never even done it before. This game is very difficult if you are racing on 150cc. The level of difficulty is how fast it goes, computer difficulty and player combinations. All in all, that makes it really hard, especially in courses like Rainbow Road and Dino Dino Jungle. I think this is a perfect game, possibly the best Mario Kart game I've ever played. With all the special items and really crazy karts. This game is filled with havoc and that is what makes it so much fun! The music, the courses, everything is amazing! This is mty family's favorite game that they have. This games graphics are really good. It's just that sometimes I feel like the characters look like clay or something. Mario Party 8 was possibly my least favorite in the series of Mario Party. There were still mini games and characters to unlock, but nothing was done as well as the last Mario Party. The mini games were not all that exciting, the board gimmicks were the same in some boards and they got rid of orbs which can be used on spaces. But in Mario Party 8, they The graphics for this game are good, it is a wii game. You can expect something like that I guess. There were no points in the game where I felt like there was something wrong with the graphics. I thought it was really cool that they had a way to show you the movement for how to play the mini games by showing Mario's arms holding a wii remote and moving it to show you how to play. The sound is not bad, I guess it explains what you're doing in some maps. I definitely think the music in DK's Treetop Temple is very explaining that you're in the jungle. However, Shy Guys Perplex Express is one of the few that does not stick out to me as being on a train. I definitely think that other sounds such as character emotions are okay though. The addictiveness of this game is the same as any other. I would play through one game and that would be it. I get bored of this game within the time that I'm playing it. The mini games are not as exciting. Compare Swing Kings to Bubble Brawl in Mario Party 7. In Swing Kings you have to see how many baseballs you can hit while in Bubble Brawl you're fighting for your life inside a bubble. Which do you prefer? In Mario Party 8 my favorite mini game is King of the Thrill, a fighting mini game in Mario Party 8. In Mario Party 7, I can't decide which one is my favorite because there's so many good ones. In story mode, you must defeat every player on every board in a duel to get the ultimate prize. What's that prize? A life time supply of candy. After you defeat the fifth player, the host MC Ballyhoo and his hat Big Top mention another prize, the Star Rod. Bowser swoops in and steals the Star Rod, and brings it up to his warped orbit and you have to chase after him. There, you will battle against Hammer Bro or Blooper. Upon defeating him, you unlock him as a character. When you play again you will fight the other enemy, and once again you will get him as a character. This game does not have much to it actually. It has party mode and two new characters. It does have story mode and a shop where you can buy trophies for a parade. But the boards, I expected a little bit more out of them. The things you can get were not as interesting as they were in Mario Party 7. Again, this is a Mario Party game. I can not put a difficulty on it because it mostly depends on what level the computer players are. The mini games were easy. Well, some of the mini games. But when you get used to it they are really easy. The final battle, is hard to lose because you can press continue and you will come back up and Bowser will gain no health. You can die however many times you want it doesn't matter. You will still defeat Bowser eventually. The difficulty could have been worked on more. Overall, Mario Party 8 was not a bad game. It was just not as good as the other ones. I expected something exciting from a Mario Party game, but it was not exciting. I didn't like this one, but that's just my opinion. Mario Party 7 was a game that had many memorable things to it. With its exciting new mini games and its exclusive 8-player party mode, this was a game to remember. What you may not know about Mario Party 7 is that each board features a different gimmick and actual place in reality. Italy, New York, Egypt, and a few others. The graphics in this game are not too bad. Comparing this to Super Smash Bros. Melee, the graphics are better. The characters look fine but sometimes you think that some things are too bright and others are fine. If you really want to see where graphics stick out to me, look at the details in the mini games. Some really describe where you are. The sound was really amazing it is kind of catchy. The music explained things when you think about it. Maybe it's just me? Character voice was ok. You can tell when they are happy, sad, or even intimidating other players. The sound for me was amazing especially Neon Heights and Pagoda Peak those two really describe where you are. The music helps you figure out what place it is (in reality of course)! The addictiveness of this game is alright. I would sit through a 20 or 25 turn game, but i won't go for an extremely long game unless it's really fun. After I play party cruise I would probably turn the game off. Maybe I would play deluxe cruise, but other than that I would turn it off. The most i would ever play this game is 2 and a half hours. The story isn't all that good, Toadsworth invites the gang on a cruise around the world. The gang decides to go so they hop on the cruise ship and Bowser gets angry because they didn't invite him. So he causes havoc during your party. Every five turns, Bowser will do a random event that could possibly change the game. Kind of exciting I guess, but what did you expect? This game does have quite a bit to it. It has a lot of minigames to get, it offers six party boards. A solo mode which can be played with another human. A deluxe cruise which has to do with 8 players. Three ways to play party mode. Tons of things to buy. Six mini game games in mini game mode (try to say that 3 times fast). That's all it really has to offer, but if you put it together, it is quite a bit for a Mario Party game. I can not put a difficulty on this game, it all depends on what level of difficulty you put the computer players as. I can't beat brutal computers. I have a chance at hard. Normal is not too tough. It's way too easy on weak. Some of the minigames are difficult, but not really difficult to the point where I can't do it. It is definitely a great game, but it's difficulty can not be judged. Mario Party 7 is my favorite in the series, ever since I lost it when I was four years old I wanted it back. I remembered how much fun it was, the colorful minigames, the excitement this game had. That's why I bought it again. It's a fantastic family game, it was truly amazing. Nintendo really raised the bar high on this one. They did a great job.
