a-sassy-black-lady : as an atheist (I'm saying I'm one so I am being transparent) I believe if you are living in a country getting heat, power and so on, on the government's and tax payers dime you should pay the taxes. Perhaps the Churches shouldn't pay as much as I am fully aware Churches use a lot of that money for charity and helping those who really need it which I believe is a good thing. But it doesn't seem fair that anyone can be tax exempt for the notion that they are a religious building, by that logic a comic book store with a Statue of Yoda could claim Tax exemption for the religion of Jedism (and yes that's a real thing.) Although that would be boss to have an entire church devoted to star wars...and they declare a holy war on the church of Star Trek LOL.

greatmaningrey : For me it would be Zatch bell, but more precisely the manga, you see I have depression and as you might guess I was suicidal but there was an important scene that helped me forge ahead even today. One character Sherry was born into a Rich Family, you know the kind, the one where your parents will force lesson upon lesson upon lesson to make sure you become the best man or woman to run the family. Sherry suffered, many days and nights without rest having to learn many arts...and her mother in frustration told her when she finally collapsed, "I wish you were never born."

It brought her to the edge she jumped off a bridge into a river...however a girl by the name of Koko rescued her from the river and told her these words, "It doesn't matter how dark a tunnel you are going into, there will always be a light at the end. Keep going and find that light."

Those words stuck with me through out my childhood and into my adulthood. Every time I felt sad or feeling close to that point, I remember those words and I feel much more secure.

I suppose I could also mention how I enjoyed the Zatch and how he wanted to become a Kind King, one who can make sure everyone of his friends can live a happy life, or how awesome Brago is, or how many times I've laughed at the duo of Iron Man Fagore and Kanchome but really after that first part there is no point. Check it out its a good anime and manga.

You...make pretty much a good point when it comes to Toonami, hate to say it but its an obsolete programming block, its still a good one in my opinion but the fact is that it can't keep itself alive. I suppose using it to show case different animes for people to check out and think, "Hmm I'd like to see more" could help in that regards but thats about it....man I feel old.

I'd like to throw my hate into the ring, how about Rurouni Kenshin, looking back its dub wasn't half bad, the voice acting was really good (Steven Blum as the terrifying villain Shishio was a real treat for the ears) and while I admit the fact they called the Katana a "Japanese sword" despite the fact that the setting was Feudal Japan during the Mejii era it was a pretty faithful dub by Media Blasters sometimes keeping the full Japanese Names for many attacks and so on, and as a child watching this on Toonami it was like magic seeing the swordplay and animation. Perhaps this is a bit well known for the list I feel as though people don't talk about this anime all that often any more, pushed aside for the Evangelion or Triguns of yester-years.

If I were to suggest something look up the anime ending theme Heart of the Sword, its a theme that speaks with an anime lover like me, I put it up to the level of awesome of Soul Eater's Resonate.

Thanks for a heads up, didn't even know about this but hey now I know and now I know not to check it out, I did enjoy the anime (love that opening theme song such an awesome tune.) thought one question. Do they have a certain top hat wearing weirdo who keeps calling people a fool?

When it comes to Yugioh, I think of two things, 1 the fate of the world resting on a card game is really silly, but hey I can buy it because they do such a good job when it comes to setting up the pieces you don't care that they could have solved a lot of problems using a gun or not dueling, and 2, every new season seems to try and over take the previous one.

So tell me what do you think is the best season of Yugioh, when it comes to my opinion I believe Zexal is the best, I love Yuma being an idiot to dueling and you can watch as he grows in skill and as a character going from really goofy to serious when its time to be serious, I loved the Xyz's rules and the creative monsters they formed, the villains were very much a treat to watch in my opinion, I love Vector and what they did for the dub, the way he would just mock and torment Yuma was very entertaining and made me want to just go in there and punch him in the face, If there is one thing I like its a villain who both makes us hate his guts and at the same time make us laugh (the Handsome Jack effect.)

When it comes to the decks in Zexal I also enjoyed how creative the decks can get...although I have to question what the card creator was smoking when he made a tomato deck, and even IRL I use a Gadogo number summoner because of how much I enjoy the set Yuma uses.

So yeah let me know what you think is the best, doesn't matter who is right, so long as we enjoy throwing down, getting our decks set, or just plain dueling or revving it up. I think we can agree Yugioh is an entertaining series .

a-sassy-black-lady : Yes, yes it is, you are cutting off a piece off a boys penis (without his consent mind you.) I don't really need to add much to this. In my opinion we need to ban both male and female circumcision as its mutilation on both sides.

I was thinking to myself one day, "Wow I have a lot of bookmarks for all these Roms" man oh man I wish I could have a way to save that list of games on the site, wouldn't be hard just press a button on the Rom page and boom its on your list, and perhaps we can add incentives to level up by making it the higher your level the more games you can save on that list. And people can see what else is on this list of games, you can see what games the people are playing maybe see if you want to play em. This is just my idea maybe its here and I didn't notice like an idiot or maybe someone else already asked, I just want to offer this idea because hey, if I didn't, well no one would know, am I right?

darthyoda : I'm a man who loves RPG's, that's my bread and butter of gaming, Japanese old school of Dragon Quest to the Open Worlds of the Elder Scroll, and of course the classic Pokémon, I live for RPGs. Course I also consider Minecraft an RPG of sorts, granted a more unorthodox one, that game sucked so many hours out of me and I'm even doing a lets play of modded Minecraft.

As for what game brought me here...Pokemon, more precisely the rom hacks of Pokémon, see I'm not good with computer's so changing the rom to have the rom hack was a challenge for me, but here I don't have that problem, so it really helps me out

Sup, names Bren, Bren Tenkage, I'm a youtuber and a guy who enjoys lets playing, thanks to this site I was able to get access to a lot of material, and if you are into let's play maybe you'd like to check me out. But that's not all I can do. I sometimes do interviews with other youtubers, open up blind bags, I have some nice holiday videos coming up and much much more (not really much more LOL.)

I'm a gamer and darn proud of it, my let's playing style, ok I admit maybe I'm not the best but hey I have a following and the fact I do surprises me sometime, but hey if you want something different go for it.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCS4TIxF53eNeWgiz2F221dA

As for me personally, I'm autistic, so yeah bit crazy but that seems to work for youtubers, all I want to do is entertain people, makes me feel good bout my self, almost as good as when I play games . Anyway I'm sure you want to go check out some better made posts, so I won't hold ya up too much .

Looking back at this game I had to work hard to go back to the 10 year old mindset, a child whose hand held experience was simple, but here is the problem, the game itself, not the concept or what it was, just isn't as playable.

Don't get me wrong, I believe at the time the game was great, the fact you could play as if you were Ash Ketchum was a great selling point, with the little pikachu sprite following you around, getting more and more attached to you and of course seeing Jesse and James and Meowth (that's right) in sprite form was also a treat. However.

The game mechanics are far outdated, and only hard core fans could slog through the outdated controls and concepts. No abilities, no defining natures, hell no separate bags to keep items in, maybe its just the fact I'm spoiled by the newer Gen (and excited for the newest upcoming game)

Graphics: Ok looking at the sprites and the areas, ok its simple and basic at times and pretty detailed spites when it comes to the Pokémon , which I must say, was a great improvement from Red and Blue, seriously compare the two sets of sprites and its like night and day, although I do miss the Gene Simmons Golbat, that was pretty cool. Pretty much for the time the graphics are good, it is a product of the time I can't argue with that one, and seeing the old Celadon City does bring back some good memories.

Sound: Now when it comes to the sound I got to say the music still holds up, from the classic battle theme to the gym leader fight, and that nice tune from Celadon City's game corner (although the one from Gold and Silver is far better I will admit) the Pokémon sound effects are decent as well and all and all its a good experience...also hearing the anime cry of "PIKACHU" when you send out Pikachu is always a nice treat.

Addictiveness: Ok why a 4, well the reasoning is the fact well....its outdated, no reason to replay this cept for pure nostalgia, yeah its fun to go around catching Pokémon, but I can do it with Leaf Green or Fire Red, or perhaps a fun rom hack, again product of the times and not a problem on the game itself. Its a good game and it can be fun. But now a days the addictiveness is kinda lost thanks to the fact there are new games to play.

Story: The Story is basic, pretty much the story is to get you from point A to Point B, it is there but there are no real subtle things, ok the twist that the Boss of Team Rocket is the final Gym Leader, yeah that blew my mind as a kid but really its a simple story easy to follow and not get lost in, neither good nor bad.

Depth: Ok as far as the limitations of the time, what it can offer for now, its pretty deep, at least 6 hours worth of gameplay if you are pretty quick, more if you are putting more effort to get what you want and grind, then to find and catch all the Pokémon even more time. For a handheld the depth is pretty high, then again pretty much all main Pokémon games share this trait, for a handheld game they have a lot of depth.

Difficulty: Ok this depends on the age, if you are a little kid, its sometimes a challenge, but if you watched the show you had the guide and knew the type advantages and what most Pokémon did with signature attacks. As an adult the rules are simple to understand and learn (heck me I'm more of a casual so I don't optimize as often as say the pro battlers. ) When it comes to this game, its really simple, if you can't beat a gym, get a better Pokémon or grind your current team, no troubles really.

Overall: I gave this an 8 because for the time it was a really good game, now a days its an old relic, but in my opinion I think its still a gem if you love old GBC games. Really I wish they would remake this game, its a real gem and I always hoped they would give this game the remake treatment, we can only hope .

When it comes to the Megaman Battle Network Games something to keep in mind is that this can arguably called the first real game, the first game was a bit of a mess with lack of features and the environments within the net being literally the same design. This is the game that started the trends that stuck throughout the entire series and made it a classic on the GBA.

My thoughts on my ratings however.

Graphics: I gave it a 8, mostly because everything but the NPC sprites look good, the NPC's (most notably a little boy who I swear looked like what would happen if Kermit the Frog had a love child with a human) just don't look as good as the main cast. However the chip design, enemy design and the places you go do have a lot of detail to them (check out Dex's room, has two GBA, you might not even notice that unless you randomly pressed A on the desk)

Sound: 8 as well, because the soundtrack is good (I love that opening and will always listen to it as I load up the game) to be honest though it does get a little grating hearing the same sounds and music, but it at least isn't too much that it ruins the experience, slight annoyance at best.

Addictiveness: Nothing is as awesome as pulling out an advance program on a bunch of virus's you could sneeze on and they would die horribly. Honestly the virus busting is a lot of fun, and while this game isn't as fun as the later installments it does a good job at what it does and while not my first choice I would keep coming back to this (heck doing a let's plays because I felt nostalgic)

Story: Let me put it this way without any spoilers, beware of who you trust. The plot twists here are good, the villains are memorable including the bad ass himself Bass (or Forte if you wish) Although I will have to point out something, this is a rated E game but I've seen guys swear, a little girl tell our main hero he missed out seeing her naked (rescuing her from a gas problem, its early on you will understand) and a guy getting blown up in a subway, no I'm not kidding bout that last part, he is told he is useless and then is blown up with a suite case bomb. Talk bout getting crap past the radar.

Depth: Gotta say its pretty deep, though not as deep as the others it does pack in enough side quests and extra bosses to make it worth scouring the net for.

Difficulty: I gave it a 6 because well....its varies, the battles themselves are more on luck of the draw (but you can set the deck) and timing, if you are good at timing this would be lower but new comers to this game might find themselves having trouble. And the puzzles at times can be hard to figure out or the answer isn't as obvious as you might thing. Having a walk through can help you if you are stuck in the story but at least by pressing the left shoulder button (on a GBA or if you use a controller and set it for that) Megaman (or Lan in the net) will mention what you need to do, so you can help yourself out

Overall: I gave it a 9 because it is a classic, a great game with great characters and story, and I gotta say, enjoying replaying it.
