TetraDigm :

Name me a single turn-based jRPG that has a leveling system similar to this that came before the DQ games.

Your opinion is all well and good but. . .

to say that this game isn't a pioneer or a classic is wrong. Yes, Western RPGs such as D&D, Ultima, among others, came before this, but Dragon Quest was the one that pioneered the jRPG genre, as DARKANINE pointed out. I agree with most of the points you brought up otherwise, such as being long and tedious, but there is no denying that DQ and its successors (such as Final Fantasy) made jRPGs into what they are today.

While I disagree completely with this review, it is, at the very least, a detailed review of the game. Although, you don't really go into great detail for the story portion, which is probably the biggest portion of the game. You do mention that there is a lack of addictiveness in the game, saying you "will hardly play it for more than a half-hour". I think that hampers your credibility on saying this game is bad seeing as how most games, especially RPG's, take much more than 30 minutes to pick up, since that just barely covers the intro of the game. Keeping in touch with that, nothing in this review leads me to believe you actually beat the game.

There is a surprising amount of depth in this game, as with the BN games, you just have to know the ins-and-outs of it before saying it doesn't. Overall, good review, though I suggest giving the game another chance.

Barathemos : I think that one's on your internet connection / computer, buddy. Games load pretty darn fast for me, even ARC & N64 games load up in about a minute or so. Not even that, sometimes.

This one might come as a bit of a shock to people but I'd end this paranoid delusion that any form of government is out to get every single person ever. Frankly, I'm tired of living in a world where every other post on a news article, even if it has nothing to do with politics or government (a.k.a a heartwarming article about the kindness of, say, a homeless man who helped a drowning dog, etc.), is about The Illuminati, or how our current POTUS has messed things up, or how we should herald the signs that something big is going down. It's annoying. I realize it has been going on for longer than America's been around, conspiracy theories and what-not (heck, America was founded on a conspiracy), but the fact that all of it has been blown way out of proportion by these paranoid delusions is more than enough proof that this clearly needs to stop.

www.emulator-zone.com
From there, download the emulator for the system you want, and then get your rom from either the site provided by Vizzed or through a quick google search. Once the emulator is downloaded, extract it or simply place the files into your flash drive and you're good to go. Don't forget the roms, too. Hope this helps.

Hardly. I get weighed every time I go to the blood bank to donate, which is rare now since I'm in school. Weighing so often if you're not working out or exercising seems kind of pointless, since you're just seeing an increase rather than a decrease (if that's what you're going for), and you're not supposed to weigh yourself more than once a week in the first place.

Home remedies are great, though I don't know of many. One I use that seems to work for dang near everything is tea. Headache? Hot tea. Stomach ache? Iced Tea. Depression? Tea.

Also, hot sauce straight from the bottle is good for stuffy noses or phantom shivers. These are ones I've found on myself and they work for me, so I'm not entirely sure if it'll work for anybody else here. Though I encourage them to try.

I think most have, if not everybody at one point or another.
As for me? Definitely. I still have lingering affection for some of them, one of them I see currently at the college from time to time. It's difficult, as not only is she incredibly gorgeous, I have a girlfriend. Makes my life complicated.

People are important in any situation ever, if not to you, than to someone. Even those we shun, those of the criminal variety, they're important to their family or friends if they have any. There isn't any exception to this rule, period.

Well, comparing ice cream to frozen yogurt in the first place is pretty odd. Yogurt is made much differently than ice cream is, there is a vast amount of differences in ingredients. While both use milk for their base, ice cream has more butterfat, nonfat milk solids, sugar stabilizers, and flavoring agents than yogurt does.

That being said, frozen yogurt is really delicious, though I haven't had the pleasure of having any in a very long time.

As a largely family friendly site (I say largely, because there are those who act not so friendly), it's certainly a very nice site to come to after a hard day of yard work, or homework, or even after school and just browse the forums. I'm going to try to post more in them, because everybody is rather nice since we're all here for the same purpose - to have fun and enjoy life. So, long story short, I come here to unwind, play a game or two for a little while before retiring for the night.

Lots of types I haven't seen for a very long time, hm. . .

Anyhow.

1. Earl Grey
2. Chamomile
3. Green Tea

In that order. I love tea and everything related to it as much as the next person, but those three, as typical and common as they are, haven't been beat in terms of taste or relaxation yet.

Pandas are adorable, but I wouldn't want them anywhere near my house, or my friends, or any future children. Cute, cuddly (looking), but as a whole, far too dangerous for me to enjoy being in their company.

As for Brigand, no species whatsoever should ever become extinct simply because they appear useless. There's a reason they're alive in the first place, and that's to keep the natural system of checks and balances in place.

Not a big fan of creepypastas, especially ones written in the first person, as each detail always comes off as forced. Seems like they're trying to be dark and creepy, but they fall short of actually doing it simply because. . . well, the writing is poor.

That being said, the only one I thoroughly enjoyed was the Majora's Mask BEN creepypasta. Great stuff, there.

There doesn't have to be exact proof. Final Fantasy was arguably the more popular JRPG in the states of course, and especially in its local release it certainly blew up fast simply because Square, at the time, was an established name in computer gaming. Despite that popularity, Dragon Warrior is the inspiration for every JRPG that followed it. It introduced the basic concepts, while FF expanded on them. Regardless of whether or not FF is the father of all RPG's (which I know you said you take back), DW / DQ was the template for everything after.

Also, sorry if I come across as too firm or a bit mean, not my intention I can assure you.

"Yes it's a gameboy game but if you've ever played super Mario land 2 6 golden coins you could tell that konami could of worked harder on this."

Well, let's look at the timeline here:

The Castlevania Adventure was released in 1989, three years after the first Castlevania, and one of the very first games released for the system.

Super Mario Land 2 was released 3 years after TCA, much later into the system's life time, so obviously, there is going to be a vast improvement in quality.

"I guess Dracula and the Belmonts should get out of 8 bit world because it just isn't going to work"

When in the previous sentence you mention that you wish they would have made it more like the NES game? That's 8-bits as well, only difference is this was a monochrome system and portable. As far as the gameplay goes, it's roughly the same as the NES games, just shorter. There isn't much difference in gameplay between them.

Good short review, but maybe touch it up a bit.
