Dunno if I should be posting on a thread this old, but since other people might also be looking for suggestions when they come here, I'll post some...

For Mega Drive: Decap Attack, Alien Soldier, Altered Beast, Comix Zone, Splatter House 1, 2 and 3, Golden Axe 1, 2 and 3, Revenge of the Shinobi, Shinobi 3 and also the Alex Kidd games for both Mega Drive and Master System.

As for SNES: X-Men Mutant Apocalypse, War of the gems, Maximum Carnage, Spider-man and Venon: Separation Anxiety, Alien VS Predator, Knights of The Round, TMNT: Turtles in Time, Megaman X, X-2 and X-3...

For NES I would say Ghouls'n'Ghosts (there's an improved SNES version too), Battletoads (which also has an improved Mega Drive version) and all the Ninja Gaiden games (who also, have a SNES version with some improvements). These are freaking hard though...

tRIUNE : Maybe I'm pushing or being too much of a pessimist, but you can always let the game window opened while you aren't actually playing. The time would keep going while you do something else. And there's most likely a cheat for money too.

I guess one alternative for this issue would be having to play the game with the same restrictions of playing Time Trials and Speed Runs, but even then it's still possible to cheat. I guess competitions don't work so well for games that feature in-game saving.

I just wanted to make sure people wouldn't waste lots of time and effort, while someone could just cheat and get all pokemons in 1 hour or so...

I don't like the idea of ending other people expectations, but I'll only do that just so people that try to win legit won't waste their time for nothing. 

The thing is, you can actually cheat on this competition. Here's the problem: You can have access to the rom and save files of the game on the RGR plugin folder. You just have to use an emulator version with all features, then use gameshark codes. After you get all the pokemons in the game, you simply have to move the cheated save file to the RGR plugin folder and overwrite it. After that, you simply open the vizzed game page, start the plugin and load the cheated save game. Then just take a screenshot of your Trainer Profile and voila, you just cheated your way through the competition. Sorry about that, It's a shame to see a Pokemon competition going to waste, but I guess it can't be helped...

I wouldn't even bother having to turn everything on every time, that's what I already do with Zsnes and it doesn't really bothers me.

So I've noticed the configs on most emulators aren't available making it so that I can't access settings that allow tweaks such as screen filters, v-sync, etc... I was wondering if by any chances there's some way to do it . Mostly with the Visual Boy Advance, but I would like to know if I can do it with Gens too.

I've tried pressing Alt + O which normally opens the options on VBA but it didn't worked. I've also tried to change the .ini settings of VBA on the RGR plugin folder, but to no avail. I haven't tried my luck with Gens yet. I've been able to change filters and some other tweaks on the Zsnes, since all it's menus are available by pressing esc, but the other emulators have most menus locked.

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
