arnold874 : The games that are going to be played on the tournament won't require the Netplay Item in order to be played, at least while the tournament lasts. 

Anyone can join, you just gotta be sure that you don't have lag problems and that you can also play all the games on the list without problems. After you've made sure that those requirements have been met, you don't have to worry about having the Netplay Item. You'll be fine as long as you have a partner that also meet the same requirements.

Hmm. I suppose the character I identify most with is Fou-Lu, from Breath of Fire IV. I used to have a similar attitude with people, not to mention I still have a similar way to see people and the world itself, which is on a pessimistic perspective. Not to mention Breath of Fire IV is one of my favorite games too.

I'd also say another character that I identify myself with would be Lelouch, from Code Geass. The way he chooses to deal with the situations and the choices he does are something I really could see myself doing. Also, the way he sees people also used to be and still is somewhat similar to mine, to some extent.

One thing to notice is that when asking questions, in English you invert the verb to be, "It is" becomes "Is it". We don't have that in portuguese. In compensation, All verbs have different conjugations for each one of the subjects at hand, unlike English.

It feels awkward to try to teach while I write those stuff, but I guess it's a good enough start...

I see no need to apologizing, at least not to me. As geeo said, everyone is selfish so you don't need to feel sorry for it. It's a part of everyone, just to different extents, it is still a part of everyone nevertheless, either good or bad person.

Also, seeing as how you brought up the topic of Depression, I'd like to give my 2 cents. For years now, I've been suffering from depression and other disorders that I don't think are necessary mentioning. I take medications for all that. What I've learnt from experience is, You shouldn't let depression take over like that, you need to take the control of your life and the decisions you make, you can't think of depression as something that "take over" otherwise you're giving up to it already. I've learn't to look on depression as a hindrance, an obstacle, that's there to get in my way and try to make me fail, just like a lot of things in life do. I haven't got over my own depression, but this has helped keeping me alive many times when suicide seemed to make sense. I would also like to say that when I chose to accept help from a Psychologist and Psychiatrist, by accepting I had a problem that I wasn't being able to take care of, things became somewhat easier to handle. I had a problem in accepting that because of my ego, I didn't want to accept I had problems I couldn't take care of by myself, plus deep inside me, I would look at that as accepting I was crazy, which was a stereotype that was a reflex of living alongside people that think like that for too long. Until I realized that the current situation I was and the decisions I was making, weren't doing me any good, in fact, only the opposite. By then, I got a diagnosis for some things I wouldn't expect, but also started a treatment that still goes on, I also started taking medications to help on it. For me, those have helped a lot, many times, without the bad consequences my past choices used to bring.

I won't go rambling my own problems any longer, nor will I try to determine reasons for your depression, or say that you are just like me or anything like that, I just wanted to share a bit of how I handle my own depression, hoping that it can help you somehow. 

I also won't dwell into religion here, but if it helps you, it's a good thing, just don't let despair take over your decisions regarding that subject, is all I would like to say. Despair isn't good in any circumstance.

I honestly hope for the best man.

Davideo7 : Really? I've got 123 Screenshots, all of which were categorized, so many are worth 1.5 or 2, and yet I don't have enough to qualify to 100??? That's a shock, honestly.

I'm not in a hurry for the item though, I have time to take more screenshots from other games. I just would never think having 123 categorized screenshots would be seen as not enough for the Beta Tester Ticket, I think.

Oh well, I still plan to take screenshots from lots of PSX titles regardless of this offer, so I guess I'll be back once I reach 200 screenshots or so, I guess.

I'm used to work as IT, so I can help you with that, but first, I'd like to ask some questions.

What's the use you intend to have for it? internet, casual gaming? Hardcore gaming? Video recording, streaming?

How much money do you want to spend? to recommend parts, I'll need to have a price as a parameter. This way I can try to find the best cost-benefit.

Also, when it comes to OS, Windows 7 Home and Ultimate don't really make a difference for a casual user, so you should consider the cost to install the OS, which is pretty high if you want the original. Unless you know someone who can format your computer and install Win7 Ultimate for free using probably non-orthodox methods. (That might also possibly bring you trouble in the future aka "This copy of the Windows Isn't Original").

What an interesting question. I do believe the human being is naturally violent, since the nature has for a lot of time required actions that could be seen as violent, in order for many species to survive, including ours.

But as for that being the key for a sort of progress, evolution or advancement of any sorts, It depends. Yes, it can help to reach those goals, but that doesn't means it is the key. The idea of an holocaust is totally comprehensible if you take violence as the key for progress though, you'd simply be removing the obstacles for progress by killing them. That would be a way to increase the quantity of individuals on our species that are apparently more capable than others and that might contribute to our society. But we live in a society where ethics and moral are always present, so that's out of question. What are the criteria for deciding who's qualified or not? Hitlers ideals were completely fine for some people, but we all know that in fact, the majority didn't agree with his ideals. As a consequence, those that disagreed with those ideals would see the world as a better place without them. But if the majority of people actually agreed with those ideals, and they became a reality, wouldn't it be the same? If the majority thinks it's correct, they'll probably be satisfied with it. Even with that, there's always a parcel of people that are not satisfied with something. The criteria for deciding what's best or not for the world will always vary, since we all share different ideals and concepts of what's right and what's wrong. If you eliminate the ones you deem unworthy, or that simply disagree with your ideas of right and wrong, you will be simply trying to model the world to fit your desires, this doesn't mean you'll be making a better society even though in your perspective it would. If the majority agrees with you though, it's possible that you are, but there will always be someone to disagree at some point, since we are all different from each other.

So yeah, considering the society we live in, I don't see that as the key for progress. It's still a factor that can have a lot of influence, but not the key.

I would say Sonic the Hedgehog 2. The versus mode is great for competitions in my opinion.

Also, Genesis Netplay doesn't usually have problems, like SNES and N64 does for some users.

Definitely gonna participate on this one. I live in Brazil, but I can play all of these games without lag nor any other problems. I've played with people from Europe, US and Canada without problems most of the times.

I don't have a partner yet, but before I get onto that, I have to gather that 10k viz, doing some PSX videos seems like a good idea. I'll be sending the Viz to you as soon as I get it, but you can already count me in.
