I don't play too many modern games, but I would have to say that as a kid the ending in Shadowgate was kind of creepy.  I think the combination of the eery music and the picture of the grim reaper went pretty well together.  What added to the scary factor for me too was that I was 4 at the time I played that game.  Then again I remember that whole game being kind of creepy in general.

My earliest memories of music are of my sweet collection of mini records with kid songs.  I played puff the magic dragon to death, but as for actual music I would sneak from my bedroom after my parents had sent me to bed and sit on the stairs listening to the love songs my parents would play as they talked about their day.  I distinctly remember Anita Baker's songs and to this day I enjoy listening to them with my wife. 

Then again, I also remember my older sister rocking out to Debbie Gibson and "The Wild Thing"   I guess you've got to take the good with the bad.

I would have to say the best moment for me on Vizzed to this point would be the obvious of rediscovering the games I remember from my childhood that I thought I'd never play again.  The most surprising part has been the community of users that are on the site.  People are very welcoming and I'm not usually the type that bothers to post on sites, but this site has some refreshingly positive people to where it's been a real pleasure to post comments.

This is true especially with those that we see in our everyday lives.  I myself have had problems with family members and though I have forgiven them I don't wish to be around them.  Sometimes in these types of situations where you just can't see eye to eye you have to come to a mutual understanding. 

The way I've always looked at it is if I have to see the person everyday and be around them anyway why stress yourself out by keeping tension between you.  Certain personality types just don't jive, but if everyone makes the effort to at the very least tolerate one another then we will all be much better off.

I think this level of understanding comes with age.  If you are in your late teens early twenties and have come to this conclusion already about the relationships in your life then you are mature beyond your years.  When I was younger I too would get caught up in trying to get even with a person that had wronged me or go out of my way to give someone a hard time if I felt they had slighted me, but when you get older and more patient you start to realize that acting this way isn't worth the effort or the time.

I would go to Ireland.  From what I've seen there are a lot of beautiful landscapes there.  Also a friend of mine told me that he had fun when he went there. He went to one town where the women spoke in a deep voice and the men had a high pitched voice. 

I'd have to bring the munchkins to Disney world first though as soon as they're old enough to enjoy it and remember it.  My wife and I went for the first time when we were in our 20s since our families never had the money for us to go as kids and we had fun even as adults.  We made a promise to one another that our kids would have that memory.

I am working on how I manage my time.  I would like to exercise more often and go out running however my job takes most of my time and energy to where whatever I have left I just want to use to spend time with my children.  I will be switching to a new position at work shortly and I'll see if that restores some of the balance in my daily life. 

We had a particularly productive day at work so at the end of the day I rounded up the group at the time clock for a quick meeting.  With a totally straight face I asked them all if they were Scottish.  After letting that hang for a few seconds amid confused looks I said because you kilt it.  

5 years can drastically change the way you see things and plan for your future let alone the 30 or so years I'd have until I reached retirement age, but as of right now I'd have to say that my plan is to have a farm that my grandchildren could come to and pick fresh vegetables from my garden.  I remember this was one of my fondest memories of my pa was visiting him on his farm and he would pull us around on his tractor and we would pick fresh vegetables from his garden to eat at supper.  I remember it was simple and good, and I've always felt that that's the way life should be so I'd want it to be that way someday when I'm old.

The 3 things I'd like people to notice would be:

1. That I listen more than I speak.  I never learned anything new through hearing myself talk.

2. I am a devout family man that puts my family's happiness before my own.  Them being happy is what brings me joy anyhow.

3. I am highly competitive and work hard to be the leader that my team deserves.  When I ask someone to do something it's an expectation that I'd have for myself and then some.

My family and I had just moved down to Texas this past year, and while my wife and I saved for about 6 months prior to the move we were almost completely wiped out financially.  I found myself in a position where we were having to afford the mortgage on the house that we left behind and paying rent along with all the normal bills at my new residence in Texas. 

We finally sold the house and were starting to gain a foothold on our finances when out of the blue my son was playing at a local park and he broke his arm on a slide.  The worst part was that it happened in the evening and not knowing the severity of the injury my wife and I decided that we would take him down to the emergency room. 

After having already been financially burdened to the point we had almost no money left I wasn't sure what we were going to do.  On top of everything else my wife had become pregnant.  The pregnancy was something we had tried for for the past 2 years and was a miracle in and of itself, and of course these things often happen when you aren't prepared for it even if you've planned for it. 

I was already working at my new job around 70 hours a week.  I wasn't sure where I would even find the time to get a 2nd job to give our finances a boost.  I did what any good husband would do I worked as hard as I could at my job and assured my wife that we would be alright somehow and to pray that things would work out. 

About a month went by and our house had already been sold for almost 2 months at that point.  We had cleared what we needed to pay at the closing table and everything had already been finalized as far as the money that we needed to pay on the remainder of our mortgage.  We looked in the mailbox and found a check from the mortgage company for 3k dollars.  This was how much the emergency room visit for my son's broken arm had come to.  My wife and I called the mortgage company to make sure that the check was legit and that everything was on the up and up and they assured us that the check was real.  They said that we would have to cash it at their bank and everything went through without a hitch. 

I knew right then that god had a hand in looking out for our family.  I wrote this post with the child (9 days old) my wife was pregnant with sleeping in my lap.  I guess I'd have no choice but to believe in the miracles that god performs for us.

I went with Gogeta.  Although to the previous post's point a Vegeto would be more ruthless.  Goku never gives up so I have to figure that he'd find a way to win in a battle.

The game that comes to mind for me is Odyssey: The Legend of Nemesis for the Mac.  Not sure if it's necessarily unpopular as it still has a small fan base that enjoys the game on Mac emulators and the like, but I don't think many have heard of the game.  I know for me this game took up a good portion of my childhood gaming. 

It was an RPG with an open world concept.  The NPCs all had their own daily routines and you could fulfill the story and quests when you wanted to.  One of the nicest touches in the game was the fact that the music played in game was set to classical piano pieces.  

I would have to say that I also prefer hot foods.  Cold foods tend to leave me feeling un satiated.  However I will say that when properly mixed cold and hot food together can be the best.  For my money I love a hot brownie sundae with a scoop of cold vanilla ice cream.
