TBH, you're not gonna expand/replace any of your staff if you've still only got the same old community that only keeps shrinking to pick from. What the sites needs is more promotion, and if I really cared enough to apply myself, it'd be the platform I'd self myself on: expanding the user base. Promote Vizzed to the roof tops and convince people it's worth joining but eh.

And TBH, what the hell is Vizzed anyways other than a family friendly version of what Acmlm Board used to be, an all purpose "post whatever the hell you want" internet forum that actually still exists? Honestly, the only other forums I can find on the internet still around today either have a specific purpose or reason to exist, like say https://shmups.system11.org/ for Arcade Game enthusiasts and a trove of information for maintaining such hardware. Vizzed? IDK, gaming? Retro stuff? In my experience: not really, 'cause if it was, this site is over 90% off topic posting easy. Most actual forums tend to have small communities anyways, and most things with bigger communitys aren't exactly forums, like Reddit. I'm surprised Vizzed got as popular as it did for as long as it did in retrospective. Long rant point not made clear short: I don't even know how I'd promote Vizzed as it is or was to anyone anyways.

I've got a compromise that would work: run a server for both. On the surface it doesn't sound practical, but I got a solution down below, just wanted to get some points out first.


1) I don't think it (overall) will matter what you choose.

We all know it: Vizzed is dead. Not dead dead, but it's dead. And Minecraft isn't exactly the huge powerhouse it was a few years ago, either. Between the declined popularity of both, I don't think a Vizzed Minecraft server would do as well today as it did back in the servers heyday. I don't think which version of Minecraft used to restart the server will impact that. It will still have some impact of course, since there definelty seems to be people (at least me), that won't play if it's bedrock (because Micro$oft loves to force people to do things, instead of giving users a choice), but there are probably people in the opposite camp, so it won't make that big of a deal in the end.


2) I'm going to rant about how much Micro$haft sucks. TL;DR, Windows 10 is bad and you should feel bad for using it. Or just ignore me, probably.

Seriously, *Windows 10?* We go from "runs on every operating system under the sun, so long as it runs java", which meant basically any version of Windows, Mac OSX, or Linux/GNU in the last 15-20 years would work, straight to "You must 'upgrade' to Windows 10, resistance is futile" in one straight shot? They could have at least made run on any version of Windows at least, since that wouldn't be any worse than 90%+ of other games out there, but to force you to lock-in to just one OS it just terrible. It may have literally everything else everyone has been asking for for many years, increased preformance and cross-platform multiplayer, but being forced to one OS kills it for me since I don't like being told what to do with my stuff, for one, and for two, Windows 10 isn't any good. First of all, just about anyone with Win7/8 got nagged to no end to "upgrade" to it, then that nagging windows transitioned into a window telling you that Windows 10 would be installed wiether you like it or not, but only after everyone had been trained to just close it, leaving many people forced with a OS they didn't want. Then add onto it that they added telemetry, just so they could hop on the big data bandwagon and mine user data at the OS level! Privacy is a thing damnit, and I'm not handing it over to M$ any sooner than Facebook or Google. And, a small grievance really, they haven't added or changed anything for the better from Windows 7. It may be better than Windows 8, but if Windows 7 is still a choice, I'd rather that.

All in all, Linux doesn't force nothing on you, and (unless your name is Ubuntu, since they had an incident with the OS search bar) doesn't invade your privacy either. GUI is a moot point, since if you don't like it, you can just get a new desktop environment. I need to stop putting off the move to linux. [/rant]


I think overall, the best solution tho would be to run both, or, just run bedrock, but release the java maps along with enough details about what software you had for the minecraft server (bukkit or psigot, what grief prevention plugin, what shop plugin, and quick of the head info). I know me and my brother loki19 would definitely take the worlds and put them up on a new java server and advertise it here as an unofficial server, so those who can't/won't use bedrock edition can still play on the old "classic" server. That, and people could just have fun with stuff in SP

Java version pls. Using bedrock alienates any PC user who doesn't want to touch Windows 10, me included, and the added console support doesn't really make up for all the Win 7/8/Linux users out there

If you can't bring the server, back up, release the worlds pls. I'd gladly host 'em on an unofficial server.

Abdullahboys : I'll let you know ahead of time that I won't be showing up to any of them, since I'm teamed with you for both matches. I haven't shown up for weeks and already asked for that sweet Dairy Queen but I guess Davideo hasn't noticed yet so

Also, just a note to Davideo, why would I bother playing this week anyways, when the only person I'm paired with is Abdullahboys, the person I have to pass in point to avoid elimination this week, when I can't possibly pass him in points because I would get the same amount of points as him due to this weeks team scoring system? I know it's probably because I haven't shown up in weeks (Didn't you have a system that would auto DQ me after so many DNPs? Hell, loki19 never showed up once and never got DQ'd until he was properly eliminated), but that would make it impossible for me to avoid elimination unless the bois (it's how I read his username ) doesn't show up for both matches, which I don't really count on happening.

Should probably someone else in my place, 'cause one person playing CPUs is kinda lame, and tbh, there is no reason why everyone won't win this week anyways. CPUs are easy to beat, and when there is one person in a match/two people who would mutually benefit from it, just claim to have won and not even bother playing. Not like people have been religiously sending screenshots so
