Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all!

I also would like to commend the variation in the holiday theme this year for the site but find the green a bit much for the text boxes. The background with the ornaments looks great, though!

All right, I'm all for this system, David. Sounds promising. Despite my pure time presence with this site, I don't think I've done much for content contribution so my levels are lacking. So I'll just stick with two votes:

geeogree : Ever since my earlier days with this site his username was one I'd see and it would often equate to sensible posts, upholding the rules, and just being a genuine guy. Plus, he was on my side in an ancient 8-year-old "debate" thread I had with another user about .999 repeating being equal to 1.

zanderlex : The most common name to see around here lately. He's especially active in the Vizzed Market forums and is constantly either giving something away or offering a fair price on someone else's thread. I'd say we've enough evidence to say he's trustworthy and a good representative for the site.

'Tis a sad day indeed when Rooftop Run receives less than an average rating. Thought I had some great songs lol

Congrats to the top ranks

I don't want one of the games but I saw this online recently so have to share this epic joke:

More like all of them, to be honest. The PC/Console version's soundtrack is vastly superior quality-wise, but the 3DS has its merits because it's essentially a completely different game. Most, if not all, of the levels and boss fights are different. I didn't spend as much time with the 3DS version but was mainly thinking of Tropical Resort when I requested its soundtrack. Can't believe I didn't think of it until after I played almost the whole thing and made submissions the other day lol. I just have too much history with listening to that OST so it felt natural. Feel free to just not count those for me

Awesome, thank you! I didn't want to say this in the submission thread as to not blatantly give away some of my song choices, but I just noticed after going through the soundtrack and it finally hit me: The Sonic Generations soundtrack you uploaded is for Consoles/PC, not the 3DS version. There were a few different stages in the handheld's rendition. I feel like I'm cheating now lol. Should I remove those entries?

All right, guess I'll give it a shot:

First:

Third (Same franchise as above):

Fourth (Same company):

Side note/question: Is it legal to vote for your own submission during the stream, or should I get that out of the way now like last time?

Well after breaching 26 and finally needing my own insurance, I'm becoming increasingly annoyed with subscription-styled payments lol. I donated the flat $25 since that's monetarily equivalent to a year of being a Patron at the base tier. We'll have to revisit if I'm still broke next year and able to do more then lol. It's a work in progress

YES! I love the 3DS! But now that I'm forced to actually look at my collection I don't have much lol. Think I lost a lot to trade-ins a while back.

Anyway, is the games list/playlist for 3DS games in that link all the soundtracks you have so far? If so, I must request these 3:
-Fire Emblem: Fates
-The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D
-Sonic Generations

I think that should provide a good mix and that they'd all definitely be worth adding. If, for some reason, one of those is an impossible request then my backup would be Fire Emblem: Echoes - Shadows of Valentia.

Also, aside from my trade-in of Generations a while back, I own all of my requested games. How does one actually go about ripping the soundtrack from the game itself? (it's legal, right?) Curious if there's anything I can do to help. Thanks!

EDIT: The 5 per company means only 5 from Nintendo, right? But Sonic and Bravely would still count as SEGA, Square, respectively? Just want to be sure. Hard to say who owns what with everything and its parent franchise appearing in Smash soon

If only I were as familiar with the DS as the 3DS, I could've had a full 10-song submission lol. Not a bad score for only 4 songs. I missed the live stream but saw the whole thing shortly after. Great stream.

But I am a bit disappointed that my lowest-scoring submission was my most replayed song lately -- Mechanical Kingdom. Guess not everyone's digging the harp and violin

tRIUNE :
No, actually, I didn't know about the SEGA one. Is it going to be a mini Dreamcast or a Genesis/Master System?

That one I may be more interested in for the collector's aspect. I don't think I'll be seeing the NES one I have do much other than collect dust but the SNES actually has quite a few games I haven't played yet.

If the PS1 ends up with a decent list I may pick that up instead of upcoming FF releases on the Switch.

As others have said Odyssey is a great experience, with TONS of post-game content -- if you'll still be interested. Personally, I have so many other games I haven't played yet that I decided to trade it in after finishing the main campaign. Not like me, since I love going for 100% completion, but I think it kind of gets on the tedious side after the main story. I'd recommend a break before going for the collection. (I only traded it cause Gamestop was offering an insane $48 and I paid $50 for it! Can always just buy it back without a loss at that rate lol)

If you're into Fire Emblem at all, I found I enjoyed Warriors way more than I thought I would. The Dynasty Warriors-type game didn't look appealing to me but there were enough FE mechanics to keep me around and I really enjoyed it. The special edition is out there at some places still for cheaper now, too, and well-worth it.

They also came out with Runner 3 (if you liked the Bit.Trip series's Runner games at all) and Sonic Mania Plus. Also great portable editions for your collection.

Tbh I'm not sure about anything newer than that as I've been replaying Radiant Dawn on the Wii and my Switch is collecting some dust lol. I do have Valkyria Chronicles 4 pre-ordered, though.

So I just found out Sony will be releasing a PS1 mini console, presumably as a counter to Nintendo's releases of the NES and SNES Classic consoles. It claims it will have 20 games, but only a few are currently known (Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3 and Wild Arms).

What games do you hope to see on it to make this worthwhile? Do you think this will be as (seemingly) successful as Nintendo's Classic consoles?

Personally, I don't have much experience with Playstation, so I'm not sure if I'd be too interested in this. I've never played FF7, but it's released in other platforms. Overall this will come out to $5 a game, which is just as good as Nintendo's pricing on their mini NES. It's a decent deal, but is it worth it? And it is a risky move for them not to reveal the entire list of games up front?

Do you have any kind of account with GameStop? I've preordered quite a few times from them myself, but I'm not sure if I've ever done it without a PowerUP card. If they didn't take your name, I'd assume you have an account and they used your phone number. Otherwise, I'm not sure. Are you there often enough for them to recognize you? Definitely hold onto your receipt until it comes out, just in case. And if you don't have an account, do you remember them asking for your number anyway? Maybe they took some info into the system.

But anyway, usually you just show up when the item should've arrived, say you've preordered it, and you either pay the balance then or (if you've already paid in full) just pick it up. They should have it set aside for you. In a perfect world you'd get an email letting you know the item's in, but that's never happened for me lol

Huh, and here I thought I knew my way around the internet by now. Never heard of those sites before -- looks interesting. But I've noticed video game music is becoming more popular among the general audiences. CDs are more often being included in special editions (I bought Fire Emblem Warriors mainly for the CDs lol), and orchestral concerts are on the rise (my favorite). Hopefully as more people search for such things they'll continue to find Vizzed. You've set up a pretty great way to listen to these soundtracks, in my opinion.

Off-topic: Is there anything wrong with the "Donate" link? I'm getting a strange privacy error from Chrome. Or would you prefer if I became a Patron?

(Also, my apologies if the sandwich-posting rule is still in effect.)

That's amazing, thanks! If my tag just so happens to say "online" like 24/7 now, you'll know what I'm doing. I still try to prioritize the music room here over YouTube when possible.

May I inquire how exactly you add a soundtrack? As in, is it costing you and what's the source? Not sure why I never thought of this before now.

Been a while since I've frequented at this point. But the music shall bring me back! lol

I believe it to be of utmost importance that you add the Radiant Historia soundtrack. If you could get your hands on the Perfect Chronology soundtrack for the 3DS instead, there're some extra tracks. But the original music is all the same. I didn't even know about this game until the Perfect Chronology came out in February and it instantly became one of my favorites. And the music is on par for such a title.

Thanks!
