I have cried a few times while watching anime.
First time was when I was watching the first episode of Kino's Journey. While I would say what happened in that final episode, Kino's Journey is a anime I would say needs to be seen for it to have full effect. Next up I cried a lot while watching Kanon 2006 and Clannad. Yes I will admit it right here on Vizzed I cried for a lot of episodes. The final one I cried for was an anime called Sword Art Online Spoiler:
I'm using Spoilers because I think I might drop a few spoilers during this but I want to explain what made me cry as most people might think that SAO isn't a sad anime. For me there is a very personal reason why I cried during it and what SAO meant to me. While the first 3 anime I mentioned are very good I recommend them all, and they did have some sad moments, SAO for me I was able to relate to in a weird way. Why's that, well you see when I first watched SAO I was going through a very bad spot of depression. I had been fighting it for about 9-10 years now and while it got better, it was at it's worse when I decided to watch the dub for SAO. The plot of SAO is that people get trapped in a virtual reality video game and the only way to leave it is if someone beats all 100 floors. Also basically you die when you are killed, meaning if you die in the game, you are dead IRL. This may seem weird but to me I was able to connect that to what I was going through. The video game was like my depression, if I died in the video game the depression won and well, I'd be dead. Also each floor had these boss fights, and each was very difficult meaning you could not clear it by yourself. You had to fight the bosses with multiple people. Each boss to me could represent every time I went though a extremely bad time and I couldn't get though it by myself. I always had to have friends help me fight that inner demon. Also beating the final boss and freeing everyone in the game, to me that's like me one day in the future beating depression and freeing myself from it (and I'm crying again). I know I still will need a lot of help from my friends but I always keep fighting for them. So those are the reasons and the anime's that made me cry. Dream team huh. Sounds like a lot of fun I'll sit for a spell or two and talk about what my dream team is and why I'd pick that team.
1) Typhlosion. Oh hey it's not Charizard. Now before you start a riot let me explain. Now a lot of people love Charizard because it seems a lot of people who played Pokémon from Gen 1 picked the Charmander line as there starter. Now for me I never got to play Gen 1 of Pokémon, my first generation was Gen 2. In my first play through I picked Cyndaquil and trained it all the way to a Typhlosion. I had a lot more time to fall in love with Gen 2's starter then Gen 1's. So that's my reason. 2) Swampert. Oh hey more starter Pokémon. My reason this time isn't much, I went from Gen 2 to Gen 3 and picked Mudkip (I liked Mudkip's before it was cool). Also Swampert was my Gen 3 starter and the first Pokémon that I raised by myself to level 100. That was my proudest moment and if I had a dream team of Pokémon IRL, I'd pick Swampert happily. 3) Nidoking. Ok, even I'm a little surprized that I picked this one and I'm the one behind this keyboard making this dream team of mine. You see I've always loved how Nidoking looked and really that's about it for that reason... ok ok there is more. I've used Nidoking about 3 times in my play though of Pokémon, and each time I used it I had a lot of fun with it, also Nidoking helped bail me out during a gym battle so I feel it earned a spot on my dream team. 4) Garchomp. Why Garchomp you ask. Simple, he's my favorite dragon Pokémon. I love how he looks, that whole land-shark thing is awesome in my opinion, and Garchomp was the first Dragon Pokémon I used. Every time I've had the option to get one I have, and that still hasn't changed. 5) Sylveon. Ok for the last reason, this one and the next one I won't be writing much as Garchomp is just one of my favorite Pokémon and the next two I haven't been able to use much but I really hope I can in the future. Sylveon, one of the newest Pokémon and the first of the Fairy Pokémon we got to see, instantly made me go "I want one!" when I first saw it. Something about how it looks, it's just so majestic, also I totally called that Sylveon was going to be a new type. 6) Braviary. First off, it can carry a car while flying, hell ya I'd want something like that on my dream team. When it came out Braviary swooped in and became one of my fav Flying Pokémon, and I have "Braved" many adventures with it by my side. So that's my list. Honorable Mentions (Or maybe this is my storage box) Joltion, Blastoise, Dodrio, Ampharos, Umbreon, Scizor, Kingdra, Houndoom, Sceptile, Blaziken, Gardevoir, Flygon, Absol, Metagross, Torterra, Starapor, Luxray, Magmortar, Gallade, Gliscor, Yanmega, Leafeon, Glaceon, Heatran, Emboar, Gigalith, Excadrill, Garbodor, Chandelure, Vanilluxe, Haxorus, Volcarona, Greninja, Gogoat, Aegislash, 1) Typhlosion. I am greatmaningrey (you can call me GMG or grey for short, it's what my friends do) and I bid you all a kind hello. I am a gamer and I love the classics. I've played games from classic Mario to classic Sonic and the first game I ever played was Pokémon Crystal. Besides video games I also love music and am a musician myself. Back to video games, out of all the video games I play the game I love the most are the Pokémon games. If you have any questions about Pokémon or just want to talk about it give me a shout. That really sums up everything about me. I can't wait to chat with you guys and finding out things about classic video games that I didn't know. Until then -------------------- |
