Having matched most of the "key" matches of the tournament, when I could, I've been really impressed by several countries who people wouldn't give a hoot about - Costa Rica, Belgium, Switzerland, USA to name a few.
Costa Rica have really impressed me, especially their goalkeeper who I believe is gonna make a name for himself in European football in the upcoming season; the whole team can bow-out of the World Cup as winners, getting out of a group that was seen as the group of death (with added bite).
Belgium have the quality to do well, they've proven themselves this year.
Switzerland, who on paper are usually written off, held themselves and could of snatched it all!
USA...what can I say? Tim Howard was the one-man show, like most of the goalkeepers in the tournament, proving why he was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson for Manchester United in the first place! (this comes from a Liverpool fan, too)

England though, being an Englishman, I can't say I'm not disappointed or surprised that we crashed out - too much hype on the team by the media and our own supporters; Wayne Rooney is over-rated, Steven Gerrard should focus on his club football, we need a big shake up!

Spain too, oh god they crashed and burned like a flapjack! The drubbing by the Netherlands in the opening match was the turning point!

As for the tournament? I'm looking forward to both semi-finals! I can't choose a winner yet, but I'd love to see the Netherlands take the final!

And the Neymar injury - Disgusting foul, the player should be banned for several matches because of it! Dangerous, reckless, and not needed - career-threatening injury too >.
