lol, it said help on anything so I posted this here. I would have posted it in video games but since I'm asking for help this might be appropriate. I have 30 page paper to write this quarter and I've decided to write it on RPG games. I was wondering if anyone could point me to a source or two. I really don't think I'll find many books that can help me write a paper on this. I have to find 3 interviews which I'm hoping won't be too much trouble but I also need 25-30 sources by the end and, due to my subject, I think I might have some serious trouble with this. Any help would be VERY appreciated.

PS: I'd like to request if maybe this could be moved to the video games section. It might be nice to have a thread with a collection of articles on RPGs there.

I think your wrong on one thing. I don't think America will recover the view it has on itself for a very long time. I have a little feeling that a lot of people around the world are going to like this thing. I think that sucks but oh well, right? It's only what I think.

I listened to it John. All 23 minutes and 2 seconds. I have to say that he's not the weakest when it comes to delivering what he has to say. But he contradicted himself a couple times. I wish I could get a text version to quote it but it'd be far too much of a pain to listen to it to find the two things that I noticed he contradicted himself. Anyways, I also noticed a pattern. Everything you say on this board agrees with what he says. Everything you have brought up has been something about that. Is your next thread going to be "Do we follow the constitution?" This isn't meant to be an attack, but I found this connection a bit disturbing. I could understand if you agreed with him on things, but you even have his nature of blaming everything on Liberals or as he more commonly said "The left". The major thing that got me about his speech was his views on big goals and such. He missed a huge and important fact that the little things CANNOT be neglected because they can and, more often than not, do come back to haunt you. Just because Clinton didn't have a grudge with Suddam and therefore didn't conquer Iraq doesn't mean he was too afraid to go for big things. Just because America wasn't attacked during the time he was in office and therefore he didn't start a war on terrorism doesn't mean that he didn't have big goals. On the contrary, the only big goal Bush has is something this guy of yours complained a lot about. He wants everyone(the world, that is) to like him. Get the support of the world and it doesn't matter what his country thinks, right? Wrong.

Bush Bashing doesn't equal liberal. I don't know if my chem teacher is liberal or not. He didn't care if Kerry won, he just didn't want to see Bush get in office again and he made that point clearly.

lmao Nasus. That was good and I needed a good laugh. Anyways, what are some good obsessions? I know bad obsessions are those that keep you from life, or in a worse case, become your life. I get this way sometimes with video games, but it's usually just like a couple weeks crammed into a few days to reach a goal and then I slow down. For example, I spent this past weekend, 37 straight hours to be exact, playing Final Fantasy XI to reach a goal so I could slow down during the week. It's like an obsession because I neglected everything else but it was done over 2 days. I was also trying very hard to temporarily forget something but that doesn't relate because this "obsession" has happened before. So yeah, what are some good obsessions? And what do you think is the most common cause of obsessions?

I hate the dictionary. Terms like this were given a definition based on opinion so why can't I have my own?

John, your post confused me, which is my fault I think. What do you mean by "just over there."? I know terrorism can happen everywhere but it's not always organized and like I said, it's open and often deadly. They care about their goal and not about how they do it. So basically, it's planned, but not organized.

There's nothing wrong with joining the military. And a war for the right purposes is not a bad thing. I don't believe in cold-blood killing, but I do believe war is necessary at times. I have respect for those who go to war that have to. I have respect for those who sign for a war they believe in. I do not have respect for someone who goes into a war for reasons that don't make any sense. Going to fight in Iraq for the purpose of protecting your family and country is bull since there is no, and has never been(as far as I know), a direct threat on the US from Iraq. Going in there because you want to help people that can't help themselves is a better reason. If you want to protect the country, go to fight the terrorism war.

Pretty much all I'm saying is that I agree with John there joining the army is not a bad thing and neither are wars. What I added is that without the right reasons then your lying and might as well just be going in because you want to kill people. Or, if you honestly believe the false reasons you follow, then it's because you've been maniputlated by those trying to justify the war with those reasons.

Jin is also right though. A war is about taking lives, and that's the simple fact. The "Big Picture" is the purpose of the war and whatnot but you can't justify it with that until that purpose has been achieved. Until then, all your doing is killing people. You want to protect people? Join the local police squad.

John...this was inappropriate and really doesn't make any sense. I'm really really starting to get confused as what is and isn't considerred propaganda in your eyes. I didn't see any lies, especially those filled with fear, created by Jin and therefore don't see anything for you to get tired of. What Jin said was based on facts as far as I could see. His sources aren't even those of the US, so they can't be the American Propoganda you complain of. The only person who showed anything as a Joke was yourself in the manner of the 2 posts of yours preceding this one.

I'm sad to say that the most valid point was brought up by Belial, in my opinion. The companies don't care about our health. They have the nutrition stuff and warning due to law. It's all business and they just want you to buy buy buy. How can we change something that has been here so long? It's not something that's going to happen overnight. I agree completely with Jin though. It's wrong and I think the companies themselves should do something about it. Mcdonald's doesn't have to make their food so greasy. I know the burgers I make at my house don't have a tenth of the grease and stuff that oozes out of those things and it tastes better too. They don't put effort into helping the people that, sadly, are too lazy or apathetic to worry about their own health. Which is another thing...a lot of people just have no common sense. Basically they just need to be met half way, which has already been said once. As for tobacco companies...I'm just wondering. Is it true about all the things they put into their cigarettes or is that only a rumor? If it's true then what the heck are they doing it for? I honestly don't know what could be done about cigarettes. Except that people need to choose for themselves whether or not they find it appropriate. I personally can't stand being around cigarette smoke even though the smell honestly isn't the worst I've smelled. I guess it's the thought of it that get's to me, like a taboo or something, and the instant coughing and hard breathing I tend to have around it ^^;;

I agree. And since this thread went relatively well for the most part, I think I might post another current events thread in case you want to shoot it before me, Jin. I have to go to school though lol..if I wait a couple more minutes I won't have time to drink my green tea that's waiting for me ^^;

Right but in the post before my last one you also said you'd be happy to drive them. This is supporting what they choose but since you listed several choices you obviously don't mind that they choose what they want. So, at least you wouldn't do what I said(think) is the worst and just leave it open without support or the opposite.
