Wow!
I was saving Viz for the PlayStation item but I just realized that the price doubled. If it gets back to 25,000 I will come back and see if someone can help me get there. I just reached 10,000

Hello guys!

Here is a thread I have been planning to start weeks ago about a question I have for years.

I am a big fan of Street Fighter games, from the SNES to PSONE ones especially. Well the question is why did the American version of Street Fighter made such confusing changes in the original characters names? Some of them include Nash/Charlie and Gouki/Akuma, which is not a problem at all, but then these three character's names have been permuted:

(USA) Balrog = M. Bison (JAP)
(USA) Vega = Balrog (JAP)
(USA) M.Bison = Vega (JAP)

When I would speak about one of those characters with my friends we would always think of another, since some of us had only access to the Japanese SF, which is funny but I would still prefer keeping the original names or changing them for non-existing ones.

When I asked the same question in a Japanese community they claimed they did not know about those changes. What about you guys? I personally think that this has something to do with the Mike Tyson reference in M.Bison.

Your user name reminds me of Newell's Old Boys, a soccer team from Argentina.

ghostfishy : Yes I did. When the anime was a fever in Brazil I used to play with my cousins all the time. We would make our own decks and take them with us to play wherever we pleased. Of course, we'd play it online as well.

As for videogames, I played Forbidden Memories, because it was the only PSone yugioh game I knew back then. I didn't like the fact that the duel systems were so different from reality, but still, it was fun.

My favorites are the gameboy versions, since, despite the graphics, the mechanics of the game is pretty similar to the anime's.

I'm watching Captain Tsubasa. I used to watch it ages ago but would never understand what was going on, I was too young for that.

ghostfishy : I am enjoying it a lot! To be honest I always think to myself... what if Vizzed decides to end? I'll never find another website that is so cool haha, and you guys are very nice as well, I didn't expect such prompt responses to my thread.

These Blue-Eyes White Dragons remind me that there was a Nintendo DS game I was looking for, but can't remember the name. Of course, it's a Yu-Gi-Oh! game. I know that there aren't DS games here, but there should be a GBA version which is similar.

darthyoda : Thank you!
I wasn't looking for a specific game, but a specific console: SNES. I really miss those times! And I remember finding a website that would let you play Mario Bros, but the game would frequently crash. Then I found Vizzed, and for my surprise not only did I find Mario and all the games I used to play but many others I never had a chance to play (but always wanted to) and some other even more nostalgic like Atari, GBA.

Well, I think I will always be a fan of games and I can't wait to save enough to buy the PlayStation item.

Greetings, Vizzed community!

I can't say that I'm new to this website, it's just that I never really paid attention to the various features of this page's designers other than the games, of course.

My name is Guilherme and I'm from Brazil. I came across this website while looking for online games, and I must say that after long searches never did I find another one which offers half the things that Vizzed does. I don't have much free time to play and chat, but I'll do my best to contribute and interact with you guys.

The Retro Game Room is my favorite place here, of course. There's nothing better than that nostalgia coming from games I used to play with my cousins long ago...

Well, I hope we will have a great time together. See you!
