Recently, FE Echoes released on the 3DS. It is a remake/revamp of Fire Emblem Gaiden, the second FE game on the NES. Given the reputation Fates has, I was a bit worried it might fail, but it seems to be going swimmingly. Everyone seems to like it for different reasons.

Personally, I disagree with the weapons not breaking (Like in Fates) but I'm excited to see the 3D dungeon crawling sections, they're very interesting and give you a chance to grind a little.

What's your thoughts on it? Have you tried it? Are you interested in it? Prefer the original on NES? Share your thoughts with us.

I have played it and am on chapter 3. The game is a little bit challenging on normal (I have yet to play hard mode) but if you grind enough on the dungeons then the game isn't too bad. You can't leave you units on their own too much from what i have played. I do like the voice acting instead of having 5 lines of voice acted dialogue. I like how you have 2 armies that go in completely different paths as well.

I absolutely love Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. I don't like Birthright as much, and Revelation is in the middle. However, I'm quickly falling in love with Echoes, as I love the exploration of dungeons and the fact that Waifus are less prominent, which is nice, as I like my Fire Emblem being more about strategy than petting large-breasted cute girls, which may sound weird coming from a guy, but I'm more there for the game play and plot.
